  1. OMG jenna is as famous as you now. I still have that ralph magazine article from 2002.
  2. ahh that's kind of obvious i guess.....I'll grab a hammer and see if I can 'adjust' them. I did have the passenger seat out. but the driver's one works correctly....no seatbelt in = solid light on. don't think passenger side has a warning?
  3. so...a bit of a strange one....today after removing the busted (again) head unit the seatbelt light was flashing on the dash (it stays solid when drivers seatbelt is undone). anyone have any idea what a flashing seatbelt light is telling me? other that the car missing at times, the only thing I can see wrong on the PFC is the alternator is putting out 15v not 14, might be the problem. nismo dash in a s1 C34 if that makes any difference
  4. lol....look ever closelier....it will take phillips OR flat

    E85 For R35

yeah there is a wide variety in the currently available mixes. If you have tuned it aggresively I would stick to the same stuff it was tuned for. But for my use a less aggressive tune and $1/l is more important that a little more power at $2.5+/l. It is still cheap compared to most race fuels though

    E85 For R35

yeah I think that problem is sorted now caltex are rolling out to 50+ locations per state. I still can't run it because I have to run standard injectors, but at least most people can now
  7. yep I'll give it a run when the chance comes up
  8. lol harsh. will be in if we do it in a week or 3, will be interesting to see what china turb0 and rb30 can do
  9. not me (in nz:( )...need more warning.
  10. OK enough of that. Any more carry on will receive a warning. Mark, sorry to see what happened, would have been great to see 2 leading skylines runs together. But as they say, "that's racing"..... I guess new shell will be easier than fixing since it is all triple skin back there, and shells are cheap.
  11. no need to be wrong as well as rude. Bobby's on the money. Nismo GTRs ran a standard motor (05U) and certainly not a "nismo" motor. In fact other than the big turbos and being in "limited edition" gunmetal grey they were pretty much standard. But I will sort of agree with you on the Gibson Grp A cars. I don't know, but I would be willing to bet they were built off bare shells from japan. Certainly they did not run N1 (24U) blocks because they weren't produced until after group A was dead (92). Because I don't know for sure I won't say you are wrong about them buying 6 complete cars from japan.....but I would be very surprised if they bought anything but body shells and parts - there are very fe factory parts in the gibson cars. You can be sure they they didn't avoid "nismo" or "n1" cars because of cost. Cost was no object to winning for nissan in the late 80s, early 90s.
  12. I've run alightly decked block (20 thou) in the past. other than needing to run a thicker head gasket to keep the valves off the pistons it was fine
  13. everything including the ECU runs off the same speed sender so they will all read close enough the same. tyre size (ie different to standard) is the most likely reason for the speedo to be out - have you tested it back to a GPS?
  14. Thanks mate, details sent. It is looking very (too?) busy that month
  15. are they actually japanese tyres? go back to whoever complied it and remind them they have to fit new tyres at compliance by law
  16. no, actually that is a very unusual description of a skyline gearshift, they are pretty good compared to 99% of cars out there. is there a heap of movement in the shifter without it starting to change gears at all? if so the good news is there is a 2c nylon bush at the bottom of the shifter that is easily replaced.
  17. there should be 2 threaded holes in the disc, these are for screwing a bolt in to force the disc off the hub - M6 bolt from memory. if the disc is being stubborn use those
  18. If you've got standard brakes the original rims will fit straigth on

    R35

Yes, Pete (sorry about the spelling lol). and that car was repaired and is doing gt cup now afaik. the other 2 are spare parts at best. I would suggest checking carefully before assuming you can have a cams and road legal cage in the car. CAMS cages have to either be built to one of a couple of standard designs, or be fully modelled by an engineer to prove it meets the requirements. I don't know the road engineering rules in each state but there are requirements about removeable side intrusion bars and minimum distance from bars to driver's head. Best to talk to an engineer in your state to confirm how or if a cams cage can be legal. Finally, under CAMS rules scruitineers can knock back a car with a non-approved cage, even if a cage is not a requirement for the event (ie they deem a non-compliant cage may be more dangerous than no cage at all). Make sure it is CAMS approved.
  20. yeah....I don't know where a roll pin is used in the 2wd box (there is one in the shift linkage in the gtr box). But you should probably assume it is meant to hold some critical part that spins at 8000rpm in place..... drop and replace or rebuild that box.
  21. *Inappropriate comment removed* Lets think before posting. Its bad enough these things happen, and it has happened in our community only a short time ago. Best wishes to the family and friends

  24. jeebus, looks like another sr8. can't find results from the 15/7 round on natsoft though. thanks for the calendar noel....I'm already booked for targa high country on 5-7 November, and the nationals @morgan park are 13-14/11. Very tight....will need successful survival of THC and pay someone to truck the car to qld if I am going there! The round I'd aim for is Tuesday 23/11. fingers crossed. anyway...looks like the lap times are here: http://www.timeattack.com.au/about/about/lap-data-2009.html. great list of skyline entries, good to see
  25. interesting turn out of cars, I'm sure I recognise at least some of the nuggets. what is the calendar for the rest of the year? I will be up there for the nationals at morgan park and would love to have a run at one of Paul's days too.
