  1. yeah these things can suck hard to undo if they have been in for a while. you need to get a long breaker bar onto it, but it is essential that you have it exactly 90o to the plug otherwise it will round off. If you need to use an extension to do that keep it as short as possible. you may then need a long extension to the breaker bar to get enough leverage....but if you are doing this on the ground/stands there is often not space. Sometimes on tough bolts you can heat them with a gas torch which helps loosen them, but not a good idea with a filler plug. but frankly....it might just be easiest to take it to a shop and get them to do it on the hoist, you can spend more breaking and fixing stuff than it would cost for someone with the right tools to undo it....
  2. btw i absolutely hate when they don't give viewers the courtesy of finishing shows on time. and no way can they pretend it's not deliberate much of the time
  3. not in sydney....its on now...
  4. what, starting world wars?
  5. no probs Dave, will make sure a sticker is there on the day. Or pm me address details if you want it sent direct beforehand. Jess...not sure who and there really shouldn't be any confusion. Neil is the contact and he has left his details with Ian multiple times. A full on rice show is probably not SAU NSW but if they are looking for club displays and normal cars I'm sure we will have great interest
  6. seems really simple to me if that is the concern. Tuner takes a backup of the tune before the car leaves the shop (and they all do anyway of course). If a customer comes back claiming a "tune" problem, compare the current tune to the backup I agree it is unacceptable for a customer not to know their tune was locked. If they knew it was going to be locked beforehand and accepted that it is a lttiel different
  7. I have use them on a gtst in the past....rated them as an above average road tyre. but considering the proven results of the factory tyres compared to semi slick I would not even give them a second thought - expect them to be seconds a lap behind. lol at p1g changing to cop too.
  8. as you know....I put my money down for rb30 with r33 gtst head and front facing plenum. absolutety no regrets it is everything i hoped for and more in response. Give me a bell if you are in sydney - once you try it you will not consider anything but rb30. Lots of china bits so it came in cheap mine is no dyno queen, it is for low down torque, daily driving and towing the race car (2t+) depending on how serious you are about power of course...I am happy with 250 in a daily driver.....but lets face it, 400 is the new 250 btw I don't see theoretical benefits of one head over another being very relevent - any of them are fine for 300kw as proven time and time again in skylines. r33 rb25 is the cheapest and still did 250 easy (my requirement) so that is what i went.
  9. don't worry....falken RS-R are good but they are still well behidn the real semi slick tyes.
  10. actually....I think we just came across something cheaper (I have always bought nissan until now......4x= OUCH!) will try and confirm and post up details
  11. good thinking! gong to foam fill the tank?
  12. yeah....$100 for a exchange reco (I guess they must be same as rb30...nice and cheap). new bits that matter.
  13. gtr ones for sure.
  14. nsx is certainly mid engine not rear.
  15. we probably would if Ian would return Neil's call
  16. and I would most certainly spend my hard earned on them, they are an excellent setup for the price. I have them on my stagea, 350z and race car (when I am allowed to by rules) anyway, when I put the set from my race car onto the stagea I was replacing 32 gtr calipers. the 32 gtr caliper sat a mm or 2 closer to the wheel spokes than the ksports do so if that is where you are worried about you will be fine. they are smaller and squarer than the brembos. If you mean clearance to the inside of the rim, I can't answer that for sure, depends if you mean 330mm or 355mm rotors, but it will probably fit. I have fitted the 355mm set under 17" weds so pretty much any 18" wheel should be OK.
  17. that's exactly what we have in NSW to provide the sponsor offer details.
  18. can't see any issue with that as long as you buy it from the monopoly supplier at whatever price they deem fair
  19. pretty much any (every) workshop will either be able to machine them on site or will have a same day service that can do it. nothing wrong with machining discs as long as they are above their minimum, and I've never had a set go wrong. BTW I think you would be mad to buy new rotors for 700 when you can get braided lines, pads, rotors and 2 piece discs for 1300 more from ksport.
  20. I totally agree. Club sponsors <> forum traders and we should not give the impression they are. Nothing stopping people signing up to be both of course.
  21. and i dont even know what a rs feed is
  22. car looked very settled in the vids....what did you learn from the day?
  23. exact same way I killed my last motor
  24. yeah PFC does it for injectors at 100% as well, not sure of all the things that flash it though
  25. also consider the good electric rattle guns for light work.
