  1. I run mine pretty high (360mm front, 350mm rear) because of the loads when towing. Plus the handling is excellent for such a big car like this anyway. I have bilsteins, whiteline springs and sway bars from sydneykid Could no doubt run 10mm lower without issue....but like any skyline chasis if you go too low you are going to stuff roll centres, get too much camber, get bad bump steer, and bad angles on cvs and driveshaft.
  2. ksport are the same as g4 are the same as d2. the ksport just aren't quite such a lurid colour I'm still running these, on the original (ex-targa) discs from 4 years ago, still going great.
  3. sorry Hugh, no idea.....when it's next not pissing down on me I will try on my car. Either way....is it running OK now?
  4. I would guess having put a badge on your race suit at one stage does not guarantee unlimited sets of tyres on every future car
  5. Good work...where do we send the $$?
  6. Yeah I run the standard level - I assumed the Apexi engineers know more about safe and dangerous levels than I do.
  7. yeah that is indeed a full sized tunnel....or that guy standing next to the car is a jockey. good news for the locals. now we just need a shaker rig.
  8. also there is a rear fog light instead of a second reverse light. BTW the windscreen de-icer is on a seperate switch but like Bob said the mirrors work of the main demister switch. AFAIK all of those items (cold area kit) came together - so if you had one you should have them all (Oh, that and rust from driving on salted roads - pretty sure that is a feature of the cold area kit too)
  9. I have no experience with these....but just wanted to note that square might be easy to fit but is a horrible shape to stop fluid splashing around. I guess a surge tank spends most of it's life full, but if not it would aerate the fuel like crazy in a square shape. Cancel all that if it is actually round or baffled in the middle.
  10. If you are running a PFC the cat temp or engine check light will already flash if knock exceeds a set level. If you want something larger than the dash light, just tap into the dash light's power supply from the ECU and run something bigger. We built a custom dash in the nugget with this setup using a 12v LED pilot light.
  11. google images? that was from my private vhs collection
  12. Ben has already been spotted working on a clay model
  13. The AP racing kits are about the best thing you can buy. Personally I would (and do) use the Ksport 8 piston kit for about $2k. But if you need the last 1/100ths in brakes the AP kits for about $6k an end are the place to go.
  14. BTW was just talking to a friend who know the Cyber Evo owner well - apparently this was it's last event and it is being retired. At least it went out on a high note....it won the world series.
  15. ahhh well the national and some of the state sports sedans guys would use it, and so would the Formula SAE, and so would holden and ford. And together that would book it out for about 1 month and then it would go broke Right now I understand the only tunnel here is the half size one at Monash.
  16. yeah totally agree.....I think a little time on a shaker rig and in a wind tunnel would work wonders....no doubt the os top running cars have been through the same years ago. wouldn't be cheap, but when are gaining seconds cheap? and I wouldn't write off the taxis yet...they just need a little rework to suit the semis - it was clearly shown on the weekend that a soft semi has more grip than a supercar race slick. don't know if any of them will be back after the showing this year though which is a real shame.
  17. that is one very well behaved and well engineered car. big oversteer at turn 6 too
  18. had to be said twice apparently
  19. OMG I met Wayne Prenter at Superlap
  20. lol not really....he is just the spitting image. he clearly gets the best, and more, from every steering wheel he is given
  21. right here Simon: http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results..../2010.EAST.S2.Y Pretty much any timed race meet in Oz gets posted on Natsoft.
  22. ahh well shortcuts are one of the things that come with local knowledge. they are big curbs at EC but a couple of them don't cause much upset. I wouldn't be hitting the curbs on a track I didn't know with a stiff car with big aero either. lucky for the visitors it wasn't oran park....lots to be gained on the curbs there. noel.... +1 on the panspeed car in turn 1...would love to know
  23. I run 360 front. you are too low. not just your cvs but handling too. if you really want to run that low you need some suspension pickup point adjustments. but it would be a lot of money just to look good. or if you really just want to run that low and dont care about the handling just keep replacing cvs
  24. my 350z convertible
  25. yeah I really don't like that style. the factory ones are expensive but well engineered....turbo gasket blowouts are a PITA. personally I would not use those ones. I bought these ebay ones, copy of the factory styles and they look oK http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SKYLINE-GTR-BNR32-R...=item2ea96a1369
