  1. there was a 350z in showroom the year we went down. about mid field...
  2. yeah cmon add all the states of aus. if we can include WA we can include NZ
  3. cool. beach house party we stayed in a local holiday house last time I was at phillip island with those dirty sau vic boys....was very convenient and good deal compared to the usual dodgy motels
  4. I'm aiming for it too....so leave the new slicks at home, turn the boost down and give me a chance
  5. if he doesnt....i do. what do you need? diff gear, diff centre and/or sump
  6. yeah I've done every single bush and joint on my 32 (except the 2 front LCA ball joints) and its like chalk and cheese compared to when it started. so if you want that brand new tight handling feeling, I think it is worth it. I'd rather spend 5k on bushes than turbos thats for sure.
  7. ahh sorry bout that....just realised the hread is in nsw members as it is EOI only. Proper thread will be in NSW events in a few days. It is a 100% goer, Sunday 4/10. $200.
  8. oh you are having real fun atm aren't you. there are some tutorials in the FAQ section....but put a day aside. I've got one for sale, maybe swap for trailer ramps....
  9. isn't everything? Generally 30-50 cars on these cruises, they are huge!
  10. Jess....I've given up on the year for the state champs so I'm lining up a few other events instead. MRA at wakie is on the short list with W500, national supersprint at Phillip Island, SAU Oran Park day. And we are definate for 1hr enduro at Oran Park and Mt Buller sprint too. Hell of a mixed year
  11. yeah I understand they send them off site for the seals. and like I said I would buy a brand new master not recondition it, I've not changed mine but the are a simple combination of diameter, outlets and mounting points so it will be possible to find a local equivalent and anyone can help with the bleeding - the technique is simple, just needs to be followed carefully.
  12. that race was heartbreaking....we fought for 6 hours, smashed them, had it in the bag.....and then lost it due to an alternator shitting itself. the pit stop was cool....crew done great for a bunch of rank amateurs its a real shame the video only goes for 30 min....its really hard to imagine just how long and hard 3x 2 hour stints in a race car really are.
  13. I don't see how you can change the stroke with pistons. charlie...what price on an apexi rb29 kit? case of beer like an rb30 is?
  14. NT meetup will suck by the looks of things
  15. no offence but there is no comparison, no matter how hard you are driving on the road it will be nothing like a couple of laps on a track. pretty much any brakes will pull any car up for 3-5 hard stops at fast road speeds. I do happily, and so do many others on here. Tacker for instance who races his gtr in bahrain against the lambos, porsche cup cars and now vipers. bastard. targa cars, race cars, all sorts of serious race cars using them- but in the case I think they will not be big enough. sounds like great advice. you will regret any compromise on this car.
  16. don't know about you Neil, but I'm in 1D and should have a good shot at a decent time in that. Pretty sure you are in 3I
  17. well the good news is, if you're serious, we've hired Oran Park on Sunday 4 October http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Or...ou-t279028.html not many chances later than this...and its an SAU day. and if you feel like a long weekend....the thursday before (1/10) is an open track day at wakefield too
  18. bugger. I'll pay twice whatever Terry offered
  19. cheap "fix"? simple...drop the oil and put in redline lightweight. Its been shown time and time again to reduce or eliminate crunching. It does however actually increase the wear on the synchros so in a few years you will still have to do something more permanent (or just sell the car lol)
  20. correct Russ. not sure about the exact % but on a 32 gtr it allows you to go from 70mm to 3" exhaust. Probably one of the smallest things to cheat on with the least value. Turbos on the other hand on a gtr would be a big deal - witness sav's remarks elsewhere that garret -5s make the same max power as n1 turbos, but at 1000rpm earlier. Think of how hard that is to check and how many times you could have done with boost 1000rpm sooner
  21. unless the tuner mentioned afms or injectors....it probably just stopped making power for the acceptable timing level at the required boost....
  22. I have always had them tunnel bored. You said its not available locally, can't you just ship where required? Only way I know to be sure the clearances are right
  23. ahh I don't think there is any such things as a guarantee that any bottom end will ever hold
