Yes but at the moment these aren’t available to me. Comparing those to what’s available to me these seem very close. -
Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines
BlazenR34 replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Not sure about camber atm but the measurement from the ground to the top of the wheel arch is 650mm. Does anyone know what the perfect fitment/rim size/offset for LMGT4’s would be in 18” and 19” for flush fitment to the guards. -
R35 brakes on R34 GTT
BlazenR34 replied to BlazenR34's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Your analysis is fair. I have access to them that’s why, just wondering if it’s worth doing. The main expense would actually be the adapter kit it seems. Plus I love the overall look and performance of the R35 set but no it will not be getting tracked at the bleeding edge. Was just wondering if anyone has done so or their preferred GTT main brake upgrade. -
Hi guys. Just wondering if anyone has put R35 bakes on a R34 GTT. I know you need 18” or 19” LMGT4’s or TE37 to run these (I’m assuming 19” though) along with the BM57 brake master cylinder upgrade along with an adapter kit of course. Just seeing if anyone has done this or something similar or any recommendations. Cheers

(WANTED) 1998 Nissan Skyline R34 Coupe GTT BLACK REAR BUMPER Hi there everyone, If you can believe it a family member has driven into the back of my GTT. I am looking for a 1998 R34 GTT Coupe BLACK (GV1 - Black Pearl) Rear Bumper replacement. If anyone has one for sale or if you know of someone who does or just the best place to get a Genuine replacement it would be of great help! (Should i go through Nissan directly? Or Nengun East Bear or what??) Insurance is a no for them so they'll be paying out of their pocket. I was extremely angry as I've just got my car back from major repairs due to another bout of stupidity by someone else. Much regards

I've inquired about this procedure but it looks like the workshop I'm at don't have the time to do it. So I'm currently trying to find a solution. :-(

I'd say atm it's a daily driver but i'm on and off overseas. So mate it's looking to be an engine swap. I think a big power pull would be up to 10-15k which i can't justify atm. She has lots of mods as does most but still standard engine internals and turbo so she's extremely clean atm I want to keep her for a weekend car in the future but i'm not sure what my future career stuff is. Whether its here or overseas which is why this couldn't have happened at a worst time! I'm at a crossroads for a lot things...

The email has been sent to them being as polite as i could! He didn't say anything about a bolt as yet. Yeah i haven't discussed a re-cut with them. I'm not sure if they 100% know other damage has occurred internally due to the loose fitment over the thousands of km's it has taken to happen though they're suggesting it's a possibility for further problems down the track. Therefore I think that's why they're now suggesting a new-second hand engine. I've currently got a car that i can use for the next month but i still feel time is getting critical to make a decision with work and everything else going on. Bloody hell everything comes in three's haha Truly appreciate all your responses guys! It's helped a lot!

Yeah I switched on the engine the other day and heard a tiny knock on the front end. Didn't sound good (very fickle about any noises as you should be with these cars). Rang the mechanics so i can bring it down. Turned it on again the next day to bring it down and the knock was extremely loud. (input swearing) Got it towed and then they discovered the mess. Yeah the key was in there but they couldn't tell if it was original but it doesn't look like it fit properly from the start otherwise the damage wouldn't have occurred. Just got off the phone to my mechanic. Told them about the improper fitment and where i stand and he said "Yeah i'm exactly right in what i'm thinking about the previous shops fault but it'll be to hard to prove now as it was so long". ....what a mess. But looks like I'll be going the new engine route. Have to discuss that tomorrow. I still feel like contacting the shop via email to let them know whats happened to a vehicle they worked on.... what do you guys think?

Yeah i'm seriously starting to believe that when the timing belt routine was done the components weren't put back together correctly. Therefore after a number of thousand km's it has worn the crank down to the point of failure (as otherwise it couldn't have happened). It would have happened sooner if I drove it a lot more during my ownership I reckon. Do I have any ground to stand on, on this? Like insurance that could cover me for negligence as it has resulted in complete engine failure or am i stuck in the position i am now with everything on me and it's just bad luck? (just wondering is all) I'm with Just Cars btw and have been the whole time i've had the car.

Thanks for your reply mate. Yeah first ever problem with her and it has to be the one of largest, worst luck. The timing belt it seems after looking at the sticker was done @96,500kms A Gates Timing Belt (rated for 190k) by South Coast Auto Care http://www.southcoastautocare.com.au/ but I'm not sure what date it was done as it doesn't say. Should I ring them up and query them? As it has only done 130k (bought at 105k) and the last 25k has been over 4 years as its had an easy life I'm really shocked.

R34 GTT Front Crank Gone Posted in the QLD thread as well but just thought it would be good here for a more global reach. Hope that's alright Mods. As you can see from the images below the front crank has been totally worn affecting the Harmonic Balancer and everything else etc effectively make the motor and car dead atm. My car has been extremely well looked after as with everything I own its just one of those devastating things that has happened as the mechanic has said and I still can't believe it. Car has done 130K. I'm just feeling out the options as its essentially an engine rebuild and i'm doing career stuff overseas etc this is going to be extremely costly. Should i repair/rebuild/wield/sell/hold off any ideas and opinions are welcome. Based on the Gold Coast. Thanks in advance everyone.

R34 GTT Front Crank Worn - Some Advice Hi everyone! I'm looking for some options and advice to a serious problem that occurred to me yesterday. Based on the Gold Coast, Tweed Heads so if anyone knows any advice on Skyline engine rebuilders as the mechanic shop it is currently residing at are not specialists in that area. They've been amazing to deal with as they have been for the whole time my car has been going there over the years. Seriously gutted... Thanks in advance everyone.

Hey everyone, just wondering if theres a good place from tweed heads to Surfers QLD that has a good service reputation for skylines/turbos? I've bought a beautiful R34 GTT about six months ago as a daily driver and will get a service done tax once the old tax arrives. Dream car except for GTR version but i've been told to service it regaruly between 5 -8000km. Also a place that would give me a lowdown on all of it's modifications. Would a general car service place surffice i.e ultra tune, goodyear, jax. Cheers

Man I'm loving this thread, it gives me a great idea on how i want my final car to look like!! Keeps em coming guys, their fantastic pieces of machinery!

I wish more company's around the Gold Coast/Brisbane area would do exact replica's with good material of the East Bear kit, there just to die for. Its just amazing what it adds to the car.

Man we've got them everywhere at my joint, it's just ridiculous that the council doesn't fill them in. Its like playing dodge-em cars except with pot holes, and trust me you don't want to hit them lol.
