Yeah, this is exactly wat i do not want to deal with, altho my heat shield is still in place. If i did eventually go down that path of injectors (i already have a PFC), these two mods are easy enough to pull out.
-
Thats right Nismoid. I will be getting the centre cartridge. All that i'll be reusing is my housing, everything else will be changed. Anyways yeah I know I could get an aftermarket Turbo for about 700 hundred or so more but my whole reasoning for this is because of EPA. I mean I dont have a workshop or even a garage so I dont want to be having to spend a couple of hundred dollars everytime i get EPA'd. Its more of a "I dont want problems with EPA" attitude. Where can I get that teflon oil feed line?
-
Yeah what is going to happen is i'm suppose to give Kyp my turbo, however i didnt mention anything about the oil line. I'll have to call him up on monday to confirm. Turbo Swap: NO, He already has the internals made up (he showed me the set) so all he needs to do to bore out my housing a bit and replace my internals with the ones he has already done up. LOL @ forgiving person. Thanks again buddy. Nick

Do also remember that in the case u get EPA'd the stock highflowed turbo wont bring much attention, whereas with the aftermarket turbo ur asking for trouble. Thats just another point to consider. BTW i was quoted 1500 to highflow my turbo, not sure how much it is in Sydney tho.

Whistla: thanks for the heads up about the oil feed line. I'll be sure to look into this futher. How much would this cost to replace/modify while installing the turbo. Thing is, I will be basically be just buying the turbo from Kyp, as he says he doesnt have enough time to get this done b4 Christmas. So i'll have to look into finding someone else that can get the oil line. QuickR33: I'll be giving them a ring just to get a quote, anyone in particular I should speak too? BTW I just did a search on yellow pages but couldnt find anything, would u happen to have the number lying around anywhere. Thanks ANT95GTR: At this point all I want is for the car to be back on the road. I do have a front mount and ECU so the tuning can be done, I do realise that for more power (over 200rwkw) I will be requiring a better fuel pump and injectors so that'll come in time, or more correctly when i have the funds. AdzMax: Currently, well before the turbo blew I had 188rwkw (Dynamic) tuned by Protek. At this point I started to run the injectors very near to their limits to they decided to stay put at this figure. Obviously not very safe with the situation I landed myself in, oh well this happens. I'll keep track of all the stuff done and post up the results, i'm sure there are many 34 owners out there that are interested with the outcome. Thanks heaps for all your replies. Nick

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone from here has had dealings with this shop, how's their work proven on skylines ect ect ect. I am planning on getting them to highflow my turbo, I got quoted $1500.00. This is what I have heard, they are a good shop that knows their turbos, altho a bit on the pricy side of the board. But then again, you get what you pay for. Remarks or comments?!?! Nick

LOL, yeah i got a decent sized intercooler already installed. Oh well shit happens. But yeah 1-2 months isnt good for me. I need one now. ANYONE?!

Thanks for your info guys. Reason i was asking about the EPA stuff is i'm pretty sure i have one on the way to my house and i'll be replacing my blown turbo so wanted to make sure i dont fail it cause i got a different turbo on the car. Nick

Hi guys, just need some info. 1. Will a stock turbo from an 33GTs-T bolt directly onto a R34GTT's stock manifold and dump? I blew my turbo and am looking for a cheap replacment. 2. Do they have the same markings on the housing(34's turbo are Nissan Motor 16V 11). Reason for asking this is cause of EPA issues. Meaning if i get EPA'ed I wouldnt want them knowing that its been changed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Nick

Ok guys, blew my turbo and I need another one ASAP. Recon just going to cost too much and I want an original turbo so the guys down at the EPA will stay off my back. Anyone have one lying around or know someone that does please let me know, as i'll be looking at getting one within the next one week. Thanks Nick

Hey Bass when do u think I could come and pick mine up? Would be great if I could get it b4 Friday, let me know thanks dude.
-
Hey Bass i'm in the custom bar clane. Let me know when I can come and pick it up and i'll pass u the remaining 30 I owe. Thanks for the help. Nick

I did this on a Dyno so nothing illegal here, 261KPH on the RSM and 260KPH is what the dyno machine read. Hit rev limiter at 7200rpm. Was pretty impressed with the accuracy of the RSM actually. But then again is doesnt take into account wind resistance, tire friction and of course the good old VIC police.

Thats weird Neo R34, I had the emanage setup with the Z32 but it wouldnt idle right. Anyways here are some figure for u to think about: At that time I had a front/cat back/e-01 boost controller and hks panel and i got about 170rwkw at about .85 bar. Now I got the PFC/front mount/front and cat back/hks panel filter/ e-01 and I still only got about 180rwkw at about .7 bar. I just cant seem to get power, anyways back to the topic. I agree best bang for buck is the Emanage. Neo mind me asking where u take ur car too?

Yo Bass, I'm in! Standard bar. U have PM. Thanks

falken tyre price check
GroundRun replied to Nrage33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I had a set of 4 Falken ZIEX. I got 265 in the rears and 235 in the front. Basically right, no traction of the line and the car understeers like heaps. But they have lasted me soo long, roughly 15 months and i still got about 30-40 % rubber left. Do yourself a favour and spend a hundred or so more per tyre for that piece of mind, cause its worth it.
