I have a 2010 370 gt, the transmission software requires an update. How can i upgrade it ? i am totally new to this. Can i do it by myself ? If yes , then how ? your assistance is needed.

There is a friend who has the same engine lives in other city he says that his 1jz vvti afm has a mixture controlling screw, i was like WTF ! i tried finding that out but i couldnt find any on mine. In my city these engines and afms are very rare. Found 2 units but by they are old so i am not sure if they would work properly. I read in some BMW forum that in beamers there AFMs have adjustment screws and they can check the out put voltage on the AFM. Normal range is between 0 - 5v , if afm is seeing more air it will increase voltage to 7v some thing like that. Any one tried this ?

Hi, I had a GT-R33 with pfc L jetro later changed to D jetro. I am having a few problems with my other car which also has an afm , its behaving like crap the symptoms are 1. Stalling when slowing down and shuts off 2. Missing every second or two 3. Cant rev over 3000 without making lots of and smoke out the exhaust 4. And every now and then entering limp home mode when first starting the car I want to know that there is an adjustment screw in the afm which is used for mixture setting, by using that can i solve the this problem ? Does Every AFM has this screw ? What else should i look for apart from AFM ? How can i check if the AFM is good and it is giving correct signal to the ecu? The engine is 1jz vvti swapped in an Rx8. Your precious advice is needed, THANKS.

Having exactly the same problem with my 2jz stealth. Does the fuel makes a loud whining noise ? is the fuel pressure dropping ? Check the fuel pump wiring, check if the voltage is dropping.

Hi , i am new to the turbo world, i am getting my car single turbo, T78 with ebay manifold, 44mm wastegate no bov. The engine is not RB its a 2jz gte. i have some questions. 1. I am not going to Run a bov, what should be the vacuum setup on this setup ? wastegate >intake manifold > manual boost controller? The compressor housing has no port for vacuum, what should be the reference? 2. Since T78 is journal bearing, i am not using an oil restrictor. What -AN size oil feed line and return line do you suggest ? 3. What oil catch can setup you suggest? removed PCV both intake and exhaust cam feeds to the catch can and return line with a filter. No return to intake manifold. Is this correct approach ? 4. Any other important points that you might want to share. Thanks.
