  1. No way would they be legal (90db) or pass emissions noise testing. Essentially they are a straight through TI pipe with a cannon on the end. there is barely any packing inside the cannon. They do sound porn though
  2. When I imported early 2013, I had about an extra 6 weeks delay. Mine ended up being due to Dotars training " A new girl" as they had been understaffed for a while. They stuffed up the paperwork and had to resubmit it again........... Once Iron Chef got onto them it went much quicker after that
  3. Was the first search result in this so called "Google" thing.............. Can't believe no one has ever thought to use Google before http://www.paulr33.com/powerfc-faq/powerfc-faq.htm I have fried my PowerFC. Is it fixable? We have seen on a few occasions that an Apexi PowerFC is in fact fixable and can be repaired. The usual suspects are burnt tracks, fried chips or damaged circuits on the board itself. One member was able to send their PowerFC to a local electronics shop with a wiring diagram for their PowerFC. The shop ran a multimeter debug and replaced a few capacitors and resistors. The unit now works and remains to operate correctly. Previously the unit would not power up at all (blank screen and no fuel pump). The original fault was caused by a mismatched wiring configuration which shorted out a few fuses and the PowerFC failed at this stage. Your last resort would be to try a local electronics shop to try and debug what is failed or damaged. I would expect a $150 repair bill to be about normal for this sort of work. The other option is simply to buy a new or used PowerFC. Everything is fixable its just a matter of how much will it cost - ask your local mechanic/auto elec shop for a quote if you have toasted your PowerFC
  4. I did end up purchasing 2nd hand S tune suspension off a forum member. Ride is BETTER than stock V spec setup.. unfortunately right rear shock knocks :-(
  5. http://www.jsai.com.au/
  6. Standard spring rates for the fortuneauto's - 34R were 12kg F and 8KG R. Agree that bad point is have to send off to USA for rebuilding. I'm sure good shops around Aus can prob do it though. I'm not game enough to try them right now, but interesting brand.
  7. To put simply. you can't afford it. I've never met someone fresh out of Uni that earns enough money to maintain their lifestyle (including rent, food, clothing, bills, clubbing, socialising etc etc) and still afford an R34 GTR (even if you manage to save that amount over the next 3 years) The average wage out of Uni is around 40-50K a year. That's the price of the GTR just to purchase!! Unless you are an ace laywer or stock broker straight out of study (or are using mummy and daddy's money), stick with the Camry and buy an R34 GTT, mod it with around 220rwkw and have some fun going to track days etc.
  8. So we all know about the taiwanese/china branded coilovers and there are plenty of threads on their performance. I've been wondering about the Fortune Auto branded coilovers. They are in a higher price bracket ($1500 - $2000) and seem to have a good rep over in the US (being manufactured in the U.S.A) They claim to have a larger monotube piston than most Jap/ china brands too. 50mm piston as opposed to 44mm of the more common types, which I do like the idea of. Rebuildable, can be valved to suit etc etc. Has anyone had experience with these as an alternative to BC/Blitz/Tein's ??
  9. Beautiful car :-) Love it. Has the demand and price for R34 GTR's skyrocketed in the states since Paul Walkers death?
  10. Hide a smartphone with GPS tracking app.... Seriously, all you 1 post wonders, How about using the search feature. Has been covered 11ty million times, not to mention Carbon Car giving you the answer above.....
  11. I couldn't get a 35, so using my 34 instead :-)
  12. And make sure you look at the butchers auction sheet. Will tell you if fake sausage or not
  13. Bolts under plenum are pretty difficult to get to. Use a universal joint socket with wrench extension bar and you should be able to get to it. Took me a while but i got the housing off once i learnt the trick.
  14. Fair call... To clarify my question. Is the Nismo pipe for the r32/r33/r34 the same in length. They are generally advertised as fitting all 3 models, but I have heard that due to the different design of the R34 dumps, the length between dump to cat is an inch or 2 longer. Wouldn't want to purchase if cat back needs to be pulled in.
  15. Interested in front pipe Were the front pipes designed for the 32? I've heard stories that the 34 pipe is longer?
  16. Fitted my Z tune 'style' side skirt/rear bar extensions
  17. They are multistud... OP, u want to clarify?
  18. Think they may actually be Rota P45's
  19. Still be wary of them. Ask for Auction sheet and dereg certificates. If they say "we don't have them" or they are stored away with the roads authority assume the KM's are not genuine...... Lets be honest, I've seen R35's with more than 43,000 k's on the clock. Hard because you are in a diff state, but there are services out there that you can pay to have someone go over the car with a paint thickness meter. Will tell you alot about the car! Looks like a nice car from the advert, but it's always smoke and mirrors when selling a car. Notice they have advertised it for $31, "888". A common "Lucky number" in Asian culture, so they are trying to appeal with marketing gimmicks.
  20. Hands down the best looking 34GTT i have EVER seen. Good job, duck wing spoiler looks amazing
  21. I bought my Enkei RPF1's from them. Budi is actually a pretty nice guy, they had tyres and wheels stacked up the wazoo. that said, I am in Sydney, so i didn't need a deposit, just rocked up and paid on the spot.
  22. Keeping seeing "MRSR33" white R33 gtst in Sutherland all the time, and always happens to be when im in the GTR
  23. I run a 18x 10.5 wide wheel with +15 offset on my 34 R. tyres are 265x35. Standard height, no rubbing whatsoever and fill the guards enough (could even go a +12 offset with ease). Next time will get a 275x35 tyre for a slightly fatter look.
  24. Ohhhhh Haiiiiiii there
  25. What makes you think you can achieve 700+ HP? What Turbo are you running? Is that your engine bay in your avatar? looks like you have a high mount single? Going from 200KW to 350+ with just a change of boost controller is highly doubtful... Unless you can tell everyone what the specs are of your engine...
