Lol, I'm sure you could whip them all into shape Terry. Terry for PM? I should stop why whinging and just ride it out as there really isn't much I can do...... But then again, it's quality customer service that wins loyal customers. I have contacted my broker albeit by email (Iron Chef) but am awaiting a reply. Chef if you're around PM me please.

Hmmmmm, i guess that's the problem when you are the middle man waiting on a 3rd party. Compliance centre is being very tight lipped on the paperwork and not giving away anything to me, and Dotars is giving me the line of 'sorry we can't discuss these matters with the public' and i'm the piggy in the middle. It's somewhat made my importing experience a little sour. It's not the delay I care about, but moreso the lack of open communication between 3rd parties and me, the owner.

Has Anyone Dealed With Nagoya Motors Recently?
djvoodoo replied to Fanta pants...'s topic in New South Wales
From the sounds of what you have said, Nagoya wants semi ownership of the car giving you the option to purchase it once it lands. I'd take a guess and say if you didn't like the car, they will prob keep the holding deposit and then sell the car in their yard to the public. Do you have to sign a contract for the holding deposit? I'd be reading that thoroughly to see if there were any 'non-refund' clauses if you choose not to go ahead with the purchase. -

Yep, as r32-25t stated. Once you pay for the car in Japan, it's yours. You can't just "exchange" or "return" the car if it's not to your liking... It's not retail.. What you can do, is have a reputable importer have their Japanese ground staff conduct an inspection of the car pre auction and then decide if you want to bid on the car. -

Are you looking to Import from Japan? Or purchase a car that is actually on Australian soil through the dealership. stateroads site above will only help if the car is physically here in Aus.. -
Beware - R34 Gtr For Sale In Sydney
djvoodoo replied to R31Nismoid's topic in General Automotive Discussion
As a consumer and under the well known caveat "Buyer beware", spending 40-60K on a used vehicle I'd want to know every damn intimate detail of the seller and the quality of product they bring into the country. In my opinion, this thread has been a wealth of knowledge for a would be consumer who may not have had previous experience dealing with a used car dealer. Whilst I agree that Slander should be not tolerated in the post, the fact is, some dealers are giving us consumers a raw deal, and doing it sneakily and washing their hands of any wrong doing ("the mentality of , it was like that when it got here" I didn't tamper with anything.. Prove it") Knowledge is power, the more we can reach out to a buyer, the more power we have in getting a legitimate deal and avoid the lemons. -
Thanks Terry, I have Iron Chef to thank for finding me a fantastic example :-) Great info Nick, I've heard some great things about Sec In Motion, so will be calling Leon asap! This is what SAU should be about, great dialogue, networking and community

For te lulz. re-read the post and it made me think.... Who in their sane mind would pay 40-50K for an R34GTR and remove the turbos! Oh and OP, you were on the Jspec site... Did you bother reading the Jspec Infobase, which provides you answers to all of your questions? Just a thought.....

FOB= Free On Board. It is the cost of the car plus your agent costs of getting the car onto the boat in Japan. So, the car may cost you 5000 yen, plus FOB charge of 1000 yen = 6000 yen FOB

Hi Terry That lucky owner of the black R34 happens to be me! I'm crossing my fingers that compliance is all sorted before the June long weekend so i can take her on a nice romatic journey. Nick, I got your message from JLM, unfortunately I can't commit to the wheels right at this moment as my first priority is a proper alarm system. If the wheels are still here in a month or two then I'll be all over it! Cheers Dave

Beware - R34 Gtr For Sale In Sydney

Case in point. This guy who apparently did "no research" and looked at "zero" cars and purchased this white 1 from Ed Lees -

To be honest with you, my car left Japan Last week and is currently on a boat to Aus.... So I've got photos, but haven't actually tried using the DVD/TV yet.. my auction sheet has navigation/TV written on it... Mine is a 99 Vspec, Build date June, auction grade 4B, 107,000K on the clock! Prob one of the cleanest interiors I've ever seen. Just goes to show that most GTR's with a claimed 50K on them have had a odo haircut! In the pic attached, there is an adapter pocket located just to the left of the centre console which plugs into the DVD unit. It's used for a digital set top box/ or navigation.

Errrr. You need to be more specific...... What are you buying? A house? a car? an Ipod? Might want to mention model, year, type of car (Skyline i presume?), Km's, Turbo, Non-turbo, if you want help dude...
-
Nope does not have the button, however mine comes with the DVD player linked into the MFD via RCA cables
-
Optional extra on the Vspec was my assumption?

Hey all I have used the search feature, and most exhaust topics relate to HKS/Kakimoto/Fujitsubo... Can't find what I'm looking for Has anyone had the Apexi N1 Cat back on their R34GTR? Seem to be cheap on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380442043747 I'm guessing it's not the N1 Evolution version, just the older N1 model. Trying to find DB level of the exhaust... Have searched Youtube for sound clips, but not much on there.... I'm looking for an exhaust with similar sound properties to that of the HKS silent Hi power

Sounds like you have an aftermarket DVD player with a fold out screen. Photos? Brand on it?
