  1. Has anyone Nissan Fasted the VIN in the carsales ad 6U900000BNR345852? Would be interested to see what it comes up as
  2. So I had a poke around Google and I believe i found a VIN plate that is legitimate. Compared the two and just put it together in MSpaint. Something to think about for prospective buyers to look at? Not sure if I've pointed out the areas of interest correct though
  3. Thanks Chef. I've def scratched the idea of looking at the car now. Terry, yup, car is sonic silver. The car is on carsales for public viewing, so if you do a search for GTR's in the 40-50K range it wil be there :-)
  4. Hey guys I have used the search feature in regards to VIN decoding, however it doesn't give me the info i'm looking for Long story short, there is an R34GTR (listed as Vspec) which i was interested in but it's in a different state to where i'm located. I believe I am allowed to post up the compliance and VIN of this car because it is public knowledge by Australian road authorities The Australian compliance plate VIN is 6T91MPV9712BRA008 and the car is registered in VIC. I have also attached the Jap Chassis no and model details on the compliance plate. 2 questions. 1. Almost all imported Skylines I have seen start the Australian VIN with 6U9xxxBNR34xxxx. Why would this VIN be so different? It is registered with VIC roads and can be searched using their free Rego check service 2. On the Jap compliance plate, i thought all BNR34's chassis number were 6 digits. I.E BNR34-123456. This chassis number has 7 digits being 0000710 Nissan Fast does not pick up this VIN either? Whilst I am being considerate to the seller and trying not to waste his time, I think i am doing nothing wrong by putting these details up in public forum. Can anyone help?

  8. So i got another number which is more like it, but it's not the full set of digits. BNR3400710. Not sure if you can do partial searches?
  9. Question guys. I put that VIN into the VIC roads authority and it came up as registered. Can anyone shed some light as to why the VIN would be so different to the usual compliance numbers?
  10. Hmmmmmmmmm. I took it straight from the carsales add :-( http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/nissan-skyline-1999-14441638?base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=3&eapi=2&__N=1246%201252%201247%201282%201216&num=15&silo=Stock&Range=Price%3a35000%2c50000~0.5&items=[Make%3aNISSAN%2cModel%3aSKYLINE%2cBaseEnabledBadge%3aGT-R%20V-SPEC]&sort=default

  14. Wow, almost a full year without sale? What's wrong with it lol
  15. Car was sold a couple of weeks ago, they just haven't removed it from their website so no way to find out unless the new owner is on SAU ?
  16. Very interesting gtr13. I was curious as I had only heard of the 2001 model being Vspec II. I'm obviously in the market for an R34.... In the video provided by the dealer, they also mention the previous owner traded this GTR in for an Evo 8 MR. I wonder how much they traded it in for seeing as though an Evo 8 MR can be had for roughly 25-26K? I would assume the previous owner got more than 25K as a trade in or there is something genuinely suss about this GTR to begin with?
  17. Hi All Whilst I am fully aware of the reputation at said dealership through various forums online and through word of mouth, I am curious as to what the SAU community thinks of the below car (Link attached) http://www.edwardlees.com.au/stock/2001-nissan-skyline-gt-r-v-spec-3307.htm
  18. Joe at Xtreme motorsports has a great reputation amongst the import scene. There are many from SAU, EvoOz and JDMST that recommend him, why do you say avoid Xtreme?
  19. Man that sux Nathan. Unfortunately for you, I'm guessing he is a "High roller" which means he has money to burn.... and will have a good traffic lawyer if he takes you to court, which he probably will if you dispute his claim
  20. I've only got good things to say about Paul & the Pulse team.I receive a text message the day before the car is booked in to confirm, greets me by my first name when I get there, shows an interest in what I am trying to achieve with the car and the work being done to it. I've had my S14, R34 GTT and Evo maintained with these guys over the years. Expensive, but work is top notch!
  21. bump for any interest. Looking to sell in March due to me being on holiday in Feb. Now under 20K $19,750 ono
  22. Agree with power to weight restrictions. Is it still the case where a 17 yr old "P" Plater can buy a 210KW SV6 Ute no problem, but because a turbo diesel VW Polo has a "Turbo" on it, it's a No No from the govt?
