R33 Wheels Offset On Evo 7
djvoodoo replied to DoLphiN's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Wouldn't advise putting staggered sized wheels on an Evo. Will alter the track width between front and rear, which in turn screws up the ACD. Unless u want funny power distribution via the ACD and the possibility of having a diff/transfer case blowout i Wouldn't do it. GTR's Attessa aren't full time 4WD, therefore does not apply in the same way as the Evo/WRX -
Go see a lawyer!!! A few questions. Do you have the Police officers details? Badge number? and which Local area Command (don't need to tell us specifics, just a yes is suffice)? You surely must have spoken to more than just 1 officer? Did they give you formal documentation and or a Police case number for the break/enter and grand theft auto? Sounds suss to me that they have done none of this?????

Tested Cfm/ Flow Rates Of R33 Gtst Cat-Backs
djvoodoo replied to Pattey21's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Whilst I currently have an Evo, not a Line, I can share my experience as principle is the same. Went from a True 3'inch custom made cat back (loud and droney) to a 3 inch Fujitsubo RMO1A which tapers to 2.5 inch inside the 2 resonators. Notice sweet F$%k all in terms of power difference. All i felt was a bees dick more lag, and about 99% less headaches with the RMO1A :-) Also have had a HKS Hi Power and 5Zigen pro racer on the Evo and exactly the same. Not much difference between all of them... Better off getting a decent tune. -
SAU'ers Just wanting to change it up a little.. Have a set of Buddy Club P1's 17x9 +27 offset. 2x 225x45x17 and 2x 235x45x17. All tires have more than 60% tread Looking for a more dished or concave set of jap wheels in 17x9 or18x9 with around a +25 +30 offset. Willing to pay a little bit of diff depending on wheels. Sutherland Shire location Cheers

Would you consider something like Buddy Club P1's 17x9 offset +27 ??? Currently has 2x 235x45x17 and 2x 225x45x17 tyres. mismatched on my evo :-( The Drifteks should fit comfortably over Brembos i think... I'm just concerned of the +18 offset as being too aggresive. Let me kno what u think

What Have You Got Away With Getting Over The Pits?
djvoodoo replied to shane344's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Lets see how long this thread stays open... OP. You're admitting on an online public car forum that you purchased a car that is un-roadworthy and/ or defectable by law and want other members to openly say how many Illegal things they have on their car and how they got away with it????? -

Go to a different mechanic. These guys don't seem to know what they are talking about... And I don't see how a 2dr coupe front end is any different intercooler/engine bay wise to a 4dr... They r pulling your leg on that 1.

Yea in some cases the Reo bar and front bar may need to be shaved a little, but that's only some cases. My return flo cooler fit with no alterations required to any part of the body.

http://www.justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=19944&cat=339&page=1 A few hours yourself and you can install it without having to pay any1. Difficulty level = low. Chinese made core (just jap).... may not be as good as some jap brands, but hey, unless you're after a 500 hp drag monster the JJR cooler is fine for a street setup in aussie conditions.

Sorry dude, but I have no idea what u just said...

To the fellas with the R34's. Fairly close to my set up too. But the 34 turbo is slightly larger so can't really compare to the 32 turbo characteristics. my set is 56% gain 17% and set boost at 92. Peak reading on boost greddy unit was 13, but on boost gauge reads 14

Any Dealings/feedback With Carmate And There Products?
djvoodoo replied to Juz's topic in New South Wales
I went to their workshop a few weeks back on a Sat morning. Customer service was really poor, and they wouldn't allow me to size up a pair of sideskirts next to my car. They basically told me to "look on the website" to get an idea of what the product looked like... Didn't end up buying anything from them, just didn't find them helpful. Can't comment on the actual quality of the kits though, sorry -
"Angry Dragon" ????
-
Lol. Read the compliance plate :-) What does it say on your rego papers?
-
Out of curiosity, what do you have your "Gain" and "Set boost" percentages at?? Do you get full boost all the way to redline with your current settings?
-
Correct!

Welcome to the forums. You may be flamed for asking this question on here though... There is a search feature on the forums that can help. Tighten the screw at the back of the valve. This should tighten the spring tension and make it harder for the BOV to release air, hence flutter. But I thought the newer model of SSQ didn't have the spring adjustment??? That may be rumours....
