Toshi had tuned mine rich (11.5 ish and drops to 11 at 7000rpm) and lots of timing rather than lean, so I had a really good torque band mid range, plus the way I've set the gain, start boost on my Greddy may have an influence how boost comes on and where it makes it's power.
-
How much torque did I make or myRB25dett??? Mine was peak of 486 I think from memory, can't remember at what rev range though. I did lose top end power as the boost dropped in the higher rev range
-
Ahh, forgot to answer that, No boost cut, Toshi had changed the map so boost cut was at 14psi
-
My R34 (Tuned by Toshi) running around 12psi, front mount, zorst, walbro (according to psi dyno reading taken from intake plenum) made 195rwkw. My EBC (greddy profec B spec II) reading peaked at 13 but then drops off to about 10.5psi at around 6000rpm. I have about a 1psi diff in boost reading from EBC to boost gauge :-( Been running between 12-13psi for a year now, no signs of giving way yet, but then again, I use low boost setting alot more than high boost 194rwkw seems about right

Chill man, It's Friday, just relax... have a beer and enjoy the sunshine, no need to get all narky......... Like I said, I'm talking from personal experience having driven a number of different cars in the same driving conditions on the same road at the same time of day. I never said I hated Holden or Fords, in fact one of my dream cars is an XY 351 Falcon. What you experience in your car will differ to my experience. It's all a matter of opinion. I don't disagree with you, but also consider that the more surface mass you have, the harder the opposing forces (wind) will push against it and therefore affect the pressures exerted on a cars handling components. Is there a mechanical engineer in the house to resolve the debate?
-
Are you positively annoyed friend?? lol Anyone that has driven from Sydney to the Snowy mountains will understand the high wind areas along the highways, together with late night, early morning start times and other road users/ wildlife to content with.. Snowboards on the roof etc etc. I'm speaking from personal experience, not 'my friends friends friend has a falcon etc'. I'm not a keyboard warrior I've driven a 12 seater bus with a trailer An XR6 My Skyline No doubt the XR6 felt safer than the bus, but compared to my Skyline, it wasn't in the same league in terms of safety. A gush of wind would pull the falcon off course, sure I have coilovers and a few other parts on the Line, but if the same suspension mods were done to the Falcon, it still remains 200kg heavier, wider and fatter and less nimble..... 110km and scary? Have you ever driven at 3am in a high wind area on open road and compared this with other cars?
-
Ok, so standard vs standard the falcon wins.... Basic upgrades, Skyline is better $ for $

I've driven my mates BF XR6 from Perisher back to Sydney, and to be honest, when you get in the drivers seat you feel detached from the driving experience, I actually felt nervous going around highway bends at 110km/h. They are big heavy cars that need some assistance when cornering and the power assisted steering is laggy and non responsive at times. Sure they go alright in a straight line and when suspension mods are done, but it's still not the same as a nimble 2dr / 4dr sports saloon similar to the comparisons in this thread.

What's The Weirdest Thing Your Airbox Has Sucked Up?
djvoodoo replied to copycutter's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Who'd you buy the Skyline off??? Previous owner failed to do regular maintenance judging by the state/age of those feathers !!!! -
There always seems to be a pattern when pulling up next to certain makes of cars (Lancers, Civics, excel's, pulsars, swifts, older fords/commodores) who have "P" plates on... Rather than a wave from the other driver it's always a "rev" the engine brah, or they pretend to make BOV noises........ or try to race. Starts to get on your nerves after a while when all you want to do is enjoy a drive in the line... Other than that, yea, I wave to the majority of drivers who keep a clean respectable ride (can be any make, model that appeals to my eye) doesn't have to be another line.

Has been covered a million times, air flow is pushed back through the IC pipework (no bov to release pressure), hits the AFM on it's way out of the pod... AFM read's twice the amount of air, chucks in more fuel, stallage. Doesn't happen to all rb's. there are many people on this forum that don't run bov's and don't have stalling issues.

People have failed to mention she needs 22"s for maximum skidz yo Just drop a Civic type R motor in and let the Vtec kick in cuz. The tarmac won't kow what just happened.
-
Your missing the point champ.... The fact that you are still on your P's and have lost your licence 3 times suggests you do more than just "speed" a couple of times. We all break the rules every now and then, but your just arrogant. It's people like you that ruin the scene for the rest of us. I've had my licence 10 years, never lost it once, and I have owned many imports. Difference here is I respect the laws, you obviously don't.
