lol. Thats exactly how they really are though. Even if there kids set my car on fire they would just give em a smack and thats it. Her areas a bit hard to hide the car in another street she lives off a wide long road which has streets running down from it. Car cover could work. Just annoying that I have to spend extra money and effort to prevent them. My sisters cars not much safer than mine its just a few metres ahead, so swapping places wont do much for me. They've squashed icecream and left biscuits on her car and they've told them off but they just dont listen. I'm gonna give em one more chance though. Will start taking a few photos of the damage after work today. I'll try convince my sister than police is the best option also

If it was just one spot per day I would do that. But as a plumber we usually have 3+ jobs a day to get to which can be located anywhere. On apprentice wage that would hardly cover the petrol. also im covered in silicone and dirt from most jobs which would turn the car into a mess. I cant win lol

Anywhere on her property isn't safe. The kids jump her fence and play in her backyard. they broke the fence to and my sister was nice enough to offer to go 2/3 paying for a new fence and they said they have no money. She only has a carport which her 4wd and the 2 boats sit around. Shannon I didnt think of parking a few streets away. I could give that a go, But the kids also ride there bikes around and will end up finding it and may damage it again. I cant setup a camera because where my cars parked is off to the side of her fence where a window cant see. If we get police involved now it'll just cause them to start more trouble. I'm guessing they are on there last chances with the police so once they know there in trouble they could just snap and do anything to her or her house. Shes home alone most of the time so she knows when the kids are upto something. But she cant keep an eye on them all day everyday for me. We just want them to get evicted from the house. its a tip. I don't know how there landlord hasn't kicked them out.

Hey I've just got a little problem about some damage to my car, Not sure maybe someone had a similar problem to this and has a good solution. Today I just got back from work and found my driver side door was covered in little chips and scrapes and a whole lot of what looks like a little kids fingers have dragged along the side of my car (scrapes and chips im guessing the kids scraped a rock against the car). Also my spoiler is covered in fingerprints and hand marks and footprints on my rear bumper (little thin fingermarks so im pretty sure there the kids, and not mine from shutting and opening the boot), Quick explanation, I am doing my plumbing apprenticeship so I need to park my car at my sisters house while her husband (my boss) takes us to work in the work car. Her neighbours are just rat piss and have 2 kids that they don't take care of at all. They don't care what they do and they don't care what happens, (police just raided there house and busted them for drug possession.) Guys also been to jail for drugs before. There kids chase after the work car as were reversing out of the driveway and hang off the work cars side mirrors as we drive off and we have to grab there hands loose and drop them back onto the road. They wont let go no matter how fast we go. They also just walk into the front yard and leave there bikes, Scooters, toys, rubbish there. Now I don't have any proof of the kids doing the damage to my car. But I can guarantee they'll damage it more in the future, Probably even tomorrow. There in debt so they have no money to pay for the damage anyway and i'm guessing there on there last chances with the police. My sister doesn't want me to start any fights with them as she is due for her baby within this month. She's told me leave it for now. I cant go nuts at the kids because that will cause problems between her and the neighbour, also if I complain to them they'll just say sorry and do nothing about it. Then if I get police involved who knows what they'll do to her family. I don't think police can fingerprint a kid to confirm they did the damage anyways. I dont want to use insurance to cover it because I know it will happen again also. The damage isnt that bad, It didnt polish out but my paint was in very very good condition along with the rest of the car. Just pisses me off knowing it'll probably get more damaged and I cant afford to get another cheap car and register and insure it just to drive there and back. I have been checking my car for damage everyday when we get home because I knew something like this would happen. Sorry for the story tried to keep it short. What would you guys do in this situation?

Yeah if your just making a plain box definately give it a go at making it yourself if you have the tools. Should only cost you around $30-$40 for the supplies, little bit more for some carpet. If your not happy with it you can try again or get a pro to do it I used this site to get the measurements for my enclosure and it sounded good to me and I eventually sold it to another person and they though it was a box bought from a store Good for L ported designs. http://www.reaudio.c...t_Box_Calc.html

Yeah I saw that a few pages back on the oils thread. I was just thinking maybe something semi synth would stop the ticking. Maybe the 8100 has cleaned my engine alot more than the nissan oil did making the lifters tick? I'm not too sure. Just wanted some suggestions for a reasonable semi synth. If none then the 10-40 motul will be tested next oil change.

Just brining this back up again. After 3 oil changes with the motul 8100 the ticking is sometimes still there on startup and even idle. I was thinking maybe a 10-40 oil would be better for my car. Or would I be better trying a 15-40? Car starts up fine and idles fine all the time, I just wanted to stop this ticking and was looking at trying another oil. Kinda weird how the Nissan 7.5-30w oil never brought up the ticking but the 8100 does. Thinking of trying the Turbolite 10-40, I seen that M5000 is a good cheaper option also but its off the markets.If your reading, Did you have any left Birds? Or was there another quality oil anyone can recommend?

I just went down to midas and got them to put in 2 gaskets to block the small gap. Seems to be working so far, Hope it holds up. Now that the exhaust is all fitted and working properly for once i'm kinda thinking maybe a 3" catback would be better for it. Also heatsoak seems to be pretty bad on these hotter days, but apprentice wage doesnt help me afford to upgrade to anything good . To save opening another thread in WTB, If anyone had a R34 SMIC for sale just give me a pm with your price. Also I may consider swapping my Kakimoto Regu 06 3.5" catback for another quiet 3" exhaust if anyone was after a 3.5" and had a stainless 3" catback

Haha yeah it depends who you get I guess. The 2 european guys which unluckily were the ones who put mine on are hacks, but the other 2 I watched them do a 4wd while I was there and they were careful with all parts and looked like they were doing a good job with it. Unlike mine where they threw my stock exhaust into the corner and let my bolts drop and kick them away and I had to help find them when they needed them. Anyways I'm still looking for the right fix. I'm not even sure how a Vband flange works but from a quick google search it seems itll hold it straight. Do I need to cut anything to use them or can it just stick inside the end of the cat and catback and be clamped on? Or should I give the double gasket a try lol.

heres a pic of it if it helps. I was thinking the double gasket would close the gap and maybe put more pressure on the top and lift the gap shut. Vband flange also is a good idea. Would this fix the opening do you think?

The exhaust has now opened a little gap between the cat converter - catback section. making it pop and leak air. The gap is only on the bottom half of the connection about 1mm open. The bolts are done up very tight but this only pulls the top half together. Was just wondering how I should go about fixing this. Would using 2 gaskets together to help close the gap work or even maybe try exhaust cement? i'll get a photo up tomorrow after work if needed.

DC2 integra type R? FWD but definately faster than most p plate cars. RWD + going fast will slide out if your not careful, Or maybe thats what you want. Just dont forget if you crash its setting you back around around 2.5k+ excess.

I downgraded from an Earthquake 15" DBXI-D in my old crappy commodore to the cheap cadence pack in my skyline and Im more than happy with the bass, I wasnt after much bass im running the little amp about 3/5 of the way up and its enough for me. You can listen to it at jb youll be pretty impressed for $220 Sub and amp.

Hey, Check out E-Go for really cheap freight, If weight is a problem I just got a full exhaust sent from Adelaide to Melb and we put it as 30kg on a pallet and cost us $40 including insurance. Should be way cheaper to send because there smaller.

How long till you get your full licence? If not long I reckon save it. 6k on turbo car will make you way happier than 6k on N/A

It had to be heated up and bent to fit properly without putting stress on other joints, So if I did do it myself it wouldnt of fit lol.

Oh I can see it now lol. Im not really after huge power anyways, Maybe add a return flow and tune later on. 180rwkw is good enough for me..for now. Did you measure the silencers diameter? By looking at it it seems about 2.5" Guess i'll leave it on for now, My turbo timers boost readings gone from .51 bar stock to .64 now with the turboback. I wanna keep it safe and under 10.5psi wondering how much extra a return flow will add to it. I read a turboback should make it go to around 8-9psi. Maybe my sensors in a bad spot. Im not sure where it is though It came installed when I got the car.

It was a full exhaust not just a catback, It didnt line up 100% so they had to heat it up and bend it and let it cool down because the catback and mid muffler didnt meet up properly.(they heated the downpipe) They tried to charge me $300 all up because of the extra heating job, He said "everything we do costs money". Either way i'm not going back to them. They tried to make money from me from every possible way they could. $220 for fitting and a bit of heating was a big rip off, I just didnt care at the time because I just wanted it put on

Tooks a photo then, No silencer in the tip. Also uploaded a pic of the whole exhaust, It is a used one so it may have been cut out im not sure. Happy with it either way lol.

Used E-Go from The Barton, Adelaide to Dandenong South, Vic. Depot to depot for a turboback, Think it worked out to $40 for the poster to send it depot to depot. Was there in 3 days undamaged sitting on someone elses stuff in there depot lol

I checked this when I got the exhaust, I saw the other thread where people were saying they had a silencer and some didnt have one in theres, Mines got no restrictor. Shined a light down it and its open the whole way

I dont think anyone will be able to give you a rough power figure if they dont know your mods
