I guess it just goes to show that just like most things, that a bad reputation is easy to catch but hard to get rid of. So you can't blame people for being harsh on Cops. And I guess you cant blame Cops for being harsh on P platers & Hoon-look-a-like cars. Still... I'd have to be having a very very bad day to give someone a ticket for something so small. Makes me remember one of Chris Rock's skits. Cracks me up... Check it out: http://yourlisten.com/channel/content/1017...riving_too_slow

Yeah True... I agree with that. But theoretically if she was telling the truth... Could a charge like this stick in court if it was challenged?

I have nothing against Coppers... But seriously?? http://smh.drive.com.au/motor-news/make-my...1007-168o2.html

Whiteline Sway Bars
Bourbon Boy replied to 180 wanabe's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I didnt think that Whiteline made bars for V35 Coupes? I called them and said they only have for the Z33... although similar cars, I thought the chassis was a bit wider & longer on the V35s? Where did you get yours? -
I blew a tyre on Saturday... same size as yours but I got my Kuhmos for $270 @ Tempe Tyres.

If you dont mind me asking, where did you get your LSD from and how much? I wouldnt mind investing in one even though our cars already have LSD - but its a Liquid something LSD... If this was a perfect world your comment would have been valid... but it's not.

Then I guess I qualify...

Is there a criteria for this event?

How Wide Can You Go With Tyres On The V35
Bourbon Boy replied to 180 wanabe's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Thats a cool link. Thanks for that. -
Im no lawyer or anything but Im pretty sure you're not allowed to be booked for the same offence with such a close gap in between... I would of contested that in court if I were you... unless truthfully when they saw you do it the first time, they let it slide but then you did it again so they booked you for it. But who knows. I hate being booked for little useless things like a modification or a parking ticket. Makes me want to break the law just so I can at least get my moneys worth.

Thanks mate. My first one! Using a freebie software - Windows Movie Maker.

Thanks mate... Yeah I know I can go faster. Just need the right advice + I didnt trust my tyres. I saw the schedule for 2011. I'll be down for at least 1 for sure!

Yeah I was really impressed with the power gain. Felt real good. To be honest at idle, its not much louder than the stock exhaust maybe 2 db louder, but even louder on cold nights and you'll definately notice the exhaust when starting the car. I really like the fact that I can take a long drive and not get a head ache from it but still turn heads when I launch it. Check out my recent Wakefield Track Day video: Silver 350GT... First minute of the video you'll see me flying down the straight followed by 2 different cars with louder exhausts. Its a good comparison. Turn it up to hear the difference.

PC... Windows free Movie Maker.

I got mine from Hi-Tech Mufflers (Sydney)... Cat-Back stainless steel. I can't remember exactly how much it was but was around the $2k range. Left it in the morning. Went to the gym for a couple of hours and it was finished. I felt power gains as soon as I took off from the garage. But I didnt get a dyno done. Sounds good when in full flight but just had a nice hum when just cruising. I guess just depends on how much noise you want to make.

VDC annoyed me so much on the weekend... More than twice I wanted to quickly make a left turn into a main road with flowing traffic... of course you want to accelerate quick so that you can quickly match the speed of the traffic so not to cause an accident. So that's what I did. Just enough throttle to give me a good launch but not enough to do a burn out. But VDC thought it knew better and stopped me from accelerating. Outcome... A few pissed off motorists beeping their heads off at me. I know its designed to save lives but in that situation, it could well cause an accident instead of prevent one. I wished it wasn't so sentive.

Thanks mate. That was actually the entire trip... Time lapse set for 1 shot per 10 seconds. I actually did a time lapse on the way home too but eh... same same except you can see the day light fade into night. Font too soft for the theme? Or hard to read?

to the guys that came along that day... Sorry it took so long but I've been so busy + I had software problems (MS MovieMaker is not recommended for large movie jobs - it shits itself) Anyways, Hope You All Enjoy... (This is my first attempt in video editing so constructive critisim is Welcome... Just don't burn me) Cheers, Mike

Thanks mate. But are you talking about holding for 3-5 seconds or hold for 10 secs or more until the VDC light on dash turns off? And as fun as the thought doing a burn out everytime you want VDC completely off, no offonce, but its hard for me to believe... but I will try anyways for fun.

Anyone know officially how many seconds we need to press the VDC button before it completely turns off? Here's what I've heard: 1 quick press: Turns off VDC until your speed reaches 60kph, where VDC is automatically turned back on by the computer. 3-5 second press: Turns off VDC completely... However, I was at a track day recently and it yes it was completely turned off but when I spun out (without stalling the car), it turned back on and I couldnt turn it off. Had to turn the car off & on before it would let me play with it again. 10 seconds or more: The VDC light on the dash board disappears completely. I lost functionality of the VDC button. (Again I had to turn the car off & on before it would let me play with it again.) However, testing this option, I launched hard & got some wheel spin & VDC kicked in. Hope someone can clarify this for me. Cheers.

Thanks Terry... Matt, nice try. But no

Andrew, Im still trying to convince my mates to go through this route, but we're going for a Birthday so come cars will be fully loaded. But will definately let you know if we go through it. Terry, already considered it mate and would have loved to go. But after my Wedding in August then honeymooning in Malaysia & then organising Track Day in September, my CAR-STUFF-4FUN-FUND funds are almost zero. Just got enough in there for petrol for a cruise or two.

But I would like one... You guys offering?? hehe We'll be taking off from Milsons Point. I just Google Mapped your route. It will be just over a 5 hour cruise for all the checkpoints. So I will just make it home on one tank.
