  1. the crunching from first to second will probably be worn synchro's. clutch wont cause that. if the car's done many skids in it's time then that'll be the first synchro to go. try changing slower and smoother, if crunch goes away then synchro's. what oil did they put in it?
  2. ever heard of Vision Racer?
  3. dude.. srsly?? what do you think polyphony have been doing for the last 5 years?? my money is that you'll forget all about forza before long..
  4. i heard girls like guys with skills
  5. double post. just for fun
  6. wow ok looks like its back to the bosch for me then. cheers for the info fellas
  7. your missing a digit there champ eg. bnr32-123456
  8. jesus. now you've got your work cut out for you. at the moment i'm working on a 200 yamaha 4stroke outboard V6 thats been to the bottom and everythings seized in place, buckets + shims included. but what happened when i tipped the head upside down to clean the gasket surfaces? of course half of them decided to let go and fall out all over the bench all out of order. FML
  9. negligible.. 10mb here and there if i remember right. i used to run folding@home on my ps3, but ever since it broke and i had to fix it, the console seems to have a limited lifespan before it dies again so i dont run it these days so i can maximize usage between repairs
  10. that chassis number looks far to early to be a vspec. it wouldnt show up in my fast, but i'm going to guess its an 89 model. vspec was not released until 1993, and vspecII in 1994. so you wont see any genuine vspecs with an earlier year than that
  11. yea despite being a mad keen GT bundy i still enjoy the old need for speeds. GT is for when you wanna take your racing seriously, with realistic driving dynamics etc. where as need for speed was fully arcade style, and designed to be just that, it was excellent in its own right. im talking about the likes of unleashed/unleashed 2/most wanted. i've briefly played prostreet thought it was crap though. maybe i needed to give it more of a chance. i just cringe at games like forza that are blatantly aiming for gran turismo and fall so far short its a joke. microsoft was obviously desperate to claim an exclusive "simulation" franchise of its own to steal some thunder from ps3, once they realised how much gravitational pull GT had when it came to selling consoles
  12. i can only imagine what kind of strings the sony execs/production coordinators are trying to pull to get gt5 bumped into another production slot. more than likely they've been offering incentives to their other clients to forfeit their production slot for it. shouldn't be that hard. when according to the official story that polyphony only missed their deadline by 3 days, you'd imagine when the production line got to gt's timeslot, and they had nothing to produce they would have moved on to another job, therefore opening up the same slot for gt on the other side of that production run. my theory anyway. one can only speculate
  13. it says 30/11 according to ebgames nz. can see on the website ebgames.co.nz. ok so who knows whether thats just them having a guess and getting our hopes up or whether their source is actually reliable. either way, at this stage i cant see sony letting this one slip beyond xmas. many many sales to be lost if they do.
  14. i hear that! i bought my ps3 on release day over 3 years ago. gran turismo is the sole reason i own a games console.
  15. ebgames now saying 30/11. any later than that and they will start missing out on xmas sales bigtime. im havin a little faith on this one
  16. my flatmate bought it a few weeks ago.. he was less than impressed. so i had a good crack at it the other day. farkin rubbish. but then when compared with gran turismo.. what isnt? i find that when video game companies make an official licensed product like this, they seem to be relying mainly on the fact that its an official licensed and endorsed product of whoever they make it for, to sell it. and make very little effort to actually make the game itself any good. movies are a prime example, film companies will go and make movies, then someone gets the idea to make a quick buck by slapping together some horse shit video game based on any given movie, slap the name on it, ship it out, and if the movie does good then the game might sell too. but the game always sucks ass? anyone else ever noticed this? F1 is kinda doing the same thing with the games market IMO. i've played several of them over the years and i've never been impressed.
  17. i wasnt aware it was possible for that much pure uncut awesome to be contained on one premises
  18. double post
  19. *facepalm* how did i forget that
  20. i ran this one through fast for someone else in early september, been on the market for a while? anyway.. not a vspec. im pretty sure vspec only appeared from late 1991?
  21. ok so by now many of us are familiar with nissan fast and how to use it. trouble being many of us also own other cars from other makes. so on that note, i thought we could benefit from a thread dedicated to other Manufacturers EPC's. i've searched and i've searched some more.. but i cant find what other manufacturer's epc's are even called. if anyone knows any other official parts programs that would be awesome. even better if theres a semi-legit way to obtain it. in particular the other popular ones might be toyota, holden, mazda, honda, subaru, ford, lexus, mitsubishi etc anyone??
  22. hardly anyone checks this thread. if you need a vehicle run through fast, use THIS THREAD
  23. sorry M35 isnt in my fast, someone out there may have a more up to date version vspec: computer says no..
