i read some hacker group called anonymous were being blamed for it but then they came out saying "na this time it wasnt us, we had nothing to do with it". the same article said it'd probably be down all easter weekend. fk i wish they'd hurry up. im almost keen to go buy a 360 just to get back online with COD:MW2 im almost having withdrawals

i would but i work sat/sun nights

yea it can be fixed, its just a matter of finding someone capable of doing it as its a fairly tricky little precision instrument. alternatively if you obtain another tacho you can always get the mileage changed on it. this would be done by the same person who would repair them. when your asking around about it, make it clear that your not trying to wind back an odometer illegitimately. you've just bought a replacement for your car and want it to reflect your car's true mileage. i've been through the same thing before, i found a guy that ran a small business fixing precision electronics like these and he got really suspicious when i asked him if he could change the odometer on the new tacho i'd bought, took a little convincing that it was legit lol.

refer to attached illustrations. most of it is interchangeable. theres a couple of bits that are slightly different. when you say "gearbox on the way out" what do you mean exactly? most of the internals are probably fine, its usually just one part that lets go and renders the box un-usable. i hope you have prior experience rebuilding gearboxes and have the equipment to do so.. if not don't waste your time you'll be biting off far more than you can chew.

yeah i decided to go with 3d. will be interesting to see how it goes. mine should be here next week too. a little more conservative than you at 40" lol but hey i only sit about 3 feet from it so thats plenty big enough i reckon

yeah. totally agree with that line earlier about how the customer should be given benefit of the doubt unless the company has solid evidence of user fault. i think what a lot of middle-managers seem to get into their heads is that they shouldn't be too hasty to accept any returns or it sends a message to everyone else that they are pushovers and leads to some customers abusing the system. but when it comes down to it, one customer having a bad experience is going to cost you far more in the long run than the odd few who slip a fast one by them from time to time. sounds like nissan needs to realise this. i think the damage to the relationship is usually already done once the customer has to fight for their desired outcome. if the customer simply presents the issue and the company provides a good solution first time, and of their own accord then thats what i find really impressive on the company's part and will only strengthen that customer's relationship with the company.

thought it was mentioned a page or two back but cant find it. a quick google found it here

my ps3 is remote b-specing 24/7 via the pc widget so you'll see plenty of activity from me. me thinks they need to add the honda hsv-010gt to the gt500 lineup. would be sick as aids.

yeah the dealer probably wont have it in stock and depending where they order it from could take anywhere from a day to a couple weeks to get it. that and you'll definitely be paying through the nose for it. ring around some local wreckers?

stick your nose in the fuel filler hole and see if you can smell it. horrible stale fuel gets a real acetone type flavour to it.. think nail polish or vodka kind of smell. if theres nothing like that then the fuel itself wont be your problem, bad fuel might prevent your engine from running as nice as it would otherwise, but it'll seldom stop an engine from running altogether. but yeah what the other guys said about the injectors.. if you haven't had the ecu tuned to suit them then theres your problem right there. come to think about it.. the fuel sitting in my r32's tank is over a year old now.. still runs good when i fire it up.

Lightened Flywheels
Spurdo replied to Checkbuzz's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
do you speak from personal experience? on mine initial start up is exactly the same as stock. no jerking back and forth involved.. whats this about low revs eh? mine still revs just the same. is easier to stall though. -
lol. wouldnt it be a crying shame if you actually had to work at it to get somewhere like the rest of us? has anyone else noticed that in virtually every scenario, as awesome as the b-spec drivers are, they are still totally shit? seriously every time i've taken notice of a lap time and then myself given it a go in the same car i'll easily come in around 10-15% better in lap times consistently. my drivers are levels 37-38 im wondering if they improve significantly between now and level 40 because thats where they stop. and lol cracks me up how when your b spec driver is in something significantly faster than the rivals i.e x2010 vs anything else he always comes in way too fast and rear ends people before he thinks to pull out and overtake. i just watched him do this to a mclaren f1 gtr race car and almost caused it to flip lol. oh there he goes again this time to the blitz r34 made him spin around a few times while my driver carried on his merry way, cheeky shit. he'd probably stick his hand out and give the finger on his way past if only he had a window.

Lightened Flywheels
Spurdo replied to Checkbuzz's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
on my r32 i changed my stock flywheel with a nismo flywheel (6.87kg) at my last clutch change. to be honest i cant really tell the difference in the way it drives any given circumstances. its no different on hills. its no different in traffic, although still a bastard in heavy traffic because of the 5puk clutch, but no worse than it was before. i didnt even get a placebo effect in acceleration. definately not worth the money unless your going even lighter for hard track use. to some people it might just be wank factor -
where exactly is the "hole". pictures might help here

gota watch that danger to manifold.. it'll getcha

+1 for separately. i've heard of people doing it all as one, but jesustityfkngchrist it would be tricky. you dont even need asian fingers for the top two bolts. i've done them a few times with just a closed end spanner, sure you can only get about 1/3 of a turn each time, slow, but it gets there. if you have ratchet spanners then this will be faster. otherwise if you have the car on a hoist you can just join a few long extensions together with a universal and a socket on the end, air gun/ratchet them off. easy.

anyone know what the maximum b-spec level is? all my drivers are level 36, 3 of them 37 in about 20 minutes when i finish the le mans 24hr for about the 20th time. should be one more race after this and i'll be level 40 but does the leveling stop there or can you go higher than 40?
-
na the UCD is exactly the same no matter what version you bought. the only difference is the stealth models, and chrome line models that come as dlc only with collectors and signature. they are the only cars in the game not available to standard gt5. the stealth models are just same as the usual version in the game, just painted black with polyphony/gt5 logos on them. no big loss. chrome line are again same as normal cars but with lame paint jobs. the only good thing about them is they only cost 500 creds to overhaul.
-
race one of your drivers against up to 15 of your friend's drivers. everyone gets cash and xp from it
-
i assume this is cos u finally got the X2010? the only thing i have against this car is its 500,000 credits to rebuild and u dont even get that much from winning a 24 hour. i reckon a 24 hour should win at least 1m credits. the current prizes dont make it worth it, i'm just doing it for the xp. using the mazda 787B stealth model cos all the stealth model and chrome line cars only cost 500 credits to overhaul so its far more economical. would suck if i hadn't bought collector's edition.

you read my mind, sir

how retarded is this. 21hrs into the 24hr le mans and this time im watching as it starts raining. car doesnt seem to be losing grip on the slicks so i leave it. couple laps later and its noticeably slower around corners and the lap times reflect this so i change to intermediates which gives more grip and brings the lap times back down. now the pit indicator comes on after every lap to go back to slicks.. why??? how stupid is the ai to think that slicks are a better idea when the intermediates are giving more grip?? and whats more.. every other car on the field is pitting every 1-2 laps to replace their medium slicks, with another set of medium slicks?? ugh. words can not express the level of fail here.
