  1. wtf?? GT HD was years ago, GT5 is in HD as well..
  2. it was just a security update. you should get it online anyway, the online is the jive.
  3. i've always enjoyed nailing it through the wangamoa's, windy road through the hills heading east out of nelson towards blenheim. dodgy during the winter though as parts of the road dont see the sun so ice spots dont melt.. many cars have been off the side there. takaka hill, north of motueka is pretty wicked too, as long as theres no traffic its hairpin after hairpin. again, claimed more than it's share of vehicles over the years. i reckon that would be a wicked venue for a tarmac rally. couldn't be closed off though as it's the only road in and out of the golden bay region. yea the winding road above the port hills in chch is pretty epic. summit rd. i think its a popular burnout/drift spot for the boyracers lol as hardly any traffic and no one around up there. and yea the road between christchurch and nelsons pretty good when theres minimal traffic. i've done that one countless times i can visualize virtually the entire 400km. my record was 3hrs 30mins in my old a32 cefiro, i worked out after dark on a weeknight theres almost no traffic whatsoever
  4. +1 have done this. only way to do it.
  5. i played farm town for a while when i was unemployed and had nothing better to do. but seriously, that shits lame
  6. pardon me sir, i beg to differ. any b spec driver can enter any race, as long as the user's total b-spec skill is at or above the level needed for the race. have done it many time
  7. now come on, power upgrades on a le mans car against other le mans cars, thats just cheating. basically any b-spec driver should be able to win it no problem, in fact thats the race i've been using to level up my low level drivers. and they win with no power upgrades, completely stock, just full downforce and maybe play with the gear ratios if you have to. make sure you keep the drivers stress level up at maximum or he'll get owned. i found the low level drivers were pulling way faster lap times on that race because they just hurl themselves into the corners full tit which is fine on this one because the car is capable of it, where as the higher level ones slow down, which isn't necessary at all. 1. create new driver. 2. win indianapolis like the wind, go from level 0 to level 7 in one hit. 4. ??? 5. profit
  8. ok my bad, not sure where i heard all that then. just looked it up, thats an impressive time for a behemoth like that. yeah, but thats not a road legal car, and it was running slicks. while we're at it why dont we just flood the board with le mans and F1 cars?
  9. ok just realised like the wind indianapolis is 70k prize money for around 3:30 in a car capable of winning it. go toyota gt-one
  10. thats 98k all 5 races combined, 17.3k per race (lame). or you can earn 48,600 per race in the indianapolis race in the nascar series which takes 4.30 mins to complete. i think i'll go for the latter
  11. yea. every time you use traction control, a ninja chops a kitten's head off.
  12. use full downforce, dont open the throttle up at low speeds until your pointing straight. if you have to, use 1 or 2 notches of traction control. i managed without
  13. i think i just threw up in my mouth a little. is this a xmas theme thing? spent most of my money last night on the toyota gt-one ts020. favourite le mans car ever.
  14. lot of work to do until you can get your greasy mitts on that thing. need to be level 30. duno about the rest of you's but im only on level 23 atm. hoping you get shitloads of xp from the endurance races. any of u guys managed to flip a car over yet?
  15. really? the b-spec was easy i thought. set the downforce to full front and rear, and when your driver gets to the front, he'll walk away from the pack on the corners. they'll catch up a bit on the straights but you keep pulling away on the corners and eventually you create a good lead
  16. basically, chumps. its basic psychological marketing. target market = young boyracers/gamers/import car enthusiasts. all these types know HKS, and know HKS = awesome. therefore slap the HKS name on a product = instant mass appeal to said market = mass sales. you comprehend yes? and has anyone won the final nascar race at daytona in a-spec? i get pit maneuvered and spun around every time lol. on the odd occasion i do get out in front, i lose too much speed on the corners because i cant keep the car steady with the standard controller and just get owned anyway lol
  17. they'd like u to think so. but i believe interworks are the ones behind it. the "powered by HKS" just sells it to the bundies.
  18. hmm. i may still consider it. where do you order it from?
  19. YOU BASTARD! where the hell do you order one of those?? i got told by EB they aint coming to nz but im keen to order from overseas if i have to wait.. i heard a horrible rumour they weren't wireless, which now i remember that was why i stopped looking for one. so is it wireless or not?? thats a deal breaker for me if it isnt
  20. touche. fixing it has become like tying my shoes now lol
  21. cool story bro Are you positively annoyed friend?
  22. i hear that!! the b-spec drivers really do borderline on mental retardation when it comes to overtaking slow cars. and what pisses me off is that your opponents never have the same issues! in the "like the wind" race at indianapolis i use the 787B and it dominates by a long shot, but theres always the gillet vertigo race car that you lap 2 or 3 times before the finish, the 787B could almost drive circles around it, but instead the b-spec driver decides to hang off his tail for half a lap then wait until the next big straight, often letting your opponents catch right up to you. and they dont use the slipstream off the car in front well at all. they'll be in the slip stream, pull out to overtake, brake, then continue to try accelerate past, wtf is that!! they should never take their foot off the gas! and i cant think of one good car that came out in 1987.. so looks like my "bday present" is a write off..
  23. you mean to say you hadn't got golds on the sebastian loeb challenge and won his car?? made for easy work on the gt rally and if someone comes across the xanavi nismo r34 you should buy it, gift it to me and i'll gladly return the favour if/when i come across something your looking for
  24. the only thing that pisses me off about replay when you go into photo mode you cant slow down playback and go slow forward, slow backward and pin point the frame you want. it would be mint if you could then you could really get the exact shot you wanted. heres a couple of mine
