Good R33 Ecu Or Piggy Back
Bronx replied to Manuel Kasko's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
ooh, nice, i didnt know that about the nistune knock stuff. thats pretty sweet. either way, no matter what tune he will choose, he should be pretty happy with either -
lol, niiice. sounds mean. i say we should have a "sound off" thread, where everybody posts their stats and mods, and then the soundclip to it, that would be pretty mean ....... i will start one later on tonight when i can get a cameraman for my car.

but power fc, has some nice fatures, boost display, water temp, knock sensor etc. plus its instant install, easy peasy and close to every tuner on the planet will tune it. not to mention you can drop in injectors and run them out of the box by changing the settings with the handcontroller. but then again, each to their own. you cant go wrong with either. but i do have to disagree with the power gains. mine def has more power than before, havent had it on the dyno, but in first gear i can easily get my wheels spinning, which i could not manage on my standard ecu. thats in a 1600kg car in rwd mode with only a pod, exhaust and upped boost. -
vk56de, then throw a nice "s" on the end for supercharger, make it a VK56DE-S enough said

just about everyone selling the power fc includes the hand controller. i got my powerfc (r34) with HC for just a bit ove 1k. so not too bad HC is a good tool for monitoring and of course tuning -

if you get some luck, every now and then some heaps cheap Power FC go for the 1-1.2k just gotta wait for it to pop up. i advise power fc, no f**king around and its full standalone ecu. -
R33 Greddy Copy Plenum + Q45 Tb

assault, or recon. assault is heaps fun on smaller maps running conquest. and just healing everyone. at one stage i was so lazy, i had a K/D ratio of 2/25 but still managed to get a score of 6k. hahaha, i just ran around reviving and healing recon is fun, but i kinda feel left out comparing my recon skills to BC2, on BC2 i owned every person in recon! in this i find it a bit more difficult. especially with the very first sniper you start off with on the russian side...... what a nightmare the other day, i saw one guy es engineer, with a score of 11k on conquest. the next person score wise after him had 4k....... i had a measly 2.5k with recon

R33 Greddy Copy Plenum + Q45 Tb
Bronx replied to Bronx's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
trying not to sell TB separately as of yet to fit it to a neo engine, (thats what i bought it for) you need to make a small adaptor plate for the aac, and buy different injector rings. injector rings are 50c each and to get a aac plate made, i got quoted 10 bucks. there was a thread in the stagea section that explained the walk through in detail. i dont remember what it was called though. -

$450 anyone?? i bought the manifold from usa thats supposedly made in USA, dont think there would be much diff to a china one. for all of this i paid close to $600 and none of this has ever been used. -

hey guys, sorry to be a dingus, but ive looked through several threads. im trying to figure out if we can use the rb26 flywheel on the s2 c34's? my mate has a spare new flywheel from a r32gtr. so not 100% if that is supposed to fit or not. being push/pull type make any difference or is it just the clutch that is different with the whole push vs pull setup?
-
fair, never had any experience with any V engines, it took me 2 days to take out and rebuild a rb26. and it took me 3 hrs to totally remove of my Golf GTi engine 4cyl fwd FTW!

hmmm, wonder what would be easier, or even, more cost effective in the long run, buy another vq35 engine and rebuild that with pistons, gasket etc etc. then throw it into the car and sell your old engine. that would mean less fart assing around and easier build up, plus no need to keep your car off the road. also when your done you can sell your engine for roughly the same as what you paid for the 2nd engine. the downside of that is, you need money for the other engine, not like where its a rb25 which you can pick up for a couple o' beers. the other upside is it wont be a ticking time bomb when your running your 6psi on stock engine and compression. but all is a money issue. ps. ill buy your turbo for a hi 5 :P

R33 Greddy Copy Plenum + Q45 Tb
Bronx posted a topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
hey all, i have for sale a greddy copy plenum, cast alluminium, never used, comes with all fittings and hoses. also have a q45 tb that comes with it. i think i have the tps sensor with it aswell. q45 tb has had the water idle springs removed, so its just a bolt on now, all works with the r33, but with minor mods, it works with the r34's neo engine. included is also a new manifold gasket. im only wanting to sell it as a set. $500 ono reason for selling i have lost my job so now most of my car parts have to be sold pickup is in hurstville, sydney but can post at buyers expense -
11.5:1 comp is for the people who build hardcore turbo racing engines, run it like porsche did in the 70's. really want to see this whole thing pieced together and some numbers good luck with everything

on my setup, i ran the command render.drawfps 1 in battlefield to show FPS, i got an absolute minimum of 38fps and tops of 60fps. guess the 60fps is my monitors limit, i never see any games go above 60fps. this was with everything ULTRA, MSAAx4, AFx16, FOV 90 motion blur maxed and Vsync off. running it on 1920x1080. not too shabby i guess.
-
yeah, my bad, i forgot to mention that, only new gen dual cores like i3 etc were tested actually talking about i3, it outdid the i7 2600k by 4fps still shows the i3 and i5's have better architecture.

BF3 barely has any CPU usage at all, so even people with AMD cpus, vs Higher range Intel CPU's wont notice any difference. anything above 1680x1050 the cpu differences are close to none, tests with 2 core vs 8 core cpus showed 7fps difference, when going to 1080 its something like 3fps. tested with 16gb machines and high end GFX cards. so just make sure you have one hell of a GFX card as your cpu will doodling its thumbs in the background

see a black s2 rs4s nearly every day down in mortdale, has FMIC and has 72v or something in the numberplate. also has gold rims. and saw a white m35 on jersy ave in penshurst with red p plates.

on the amd side ive gone from x800-2600-2900-3850-3870-2x3870-3870x2-4850-4850x2-4890-5770 all of those if had some sort of problems with when they first came out, took ati/amd a good 3-4 months to fix their crap. anything above those cards i have not tried, so i cant say anything about it. i bought the gtx570 brand new the first week it came out going by the 1st released driver, none of my games had any problems starting, running or artifacts. Now this is just my experience. each and everyone of us will have different experience due to different chips, configurations etc. when i was in my 3870 phase i went all the way to three way crossfire, ran into heaps of problems because it wasnt thoroughly though out yet. Nvidia ive only ever owned my gtx570, but since i have built endless computers for friends and their friends, i have used several other cards, (6800 through to 9800gtx etc) but only momentarily. so i cannot say anything. i did play some games on my mates computer where he ran twin 8800gt's which worked flawlessly and then he later upgraded to the 8800gtx which always crashed due to shitty overheating.
-
sorry, but from experience, Nvidia has always been more reliable with their drivers. ive owned AMD my entire life and the gtx is the first Nvidia card i went to and ive never had a single problem. sure the 4890 might be old now, but its still a reasonable GFX card, as soon as you upgrade Dx11 will be standard on every GFX card. AMD is good, and will always be best bang for buck,. One of my favorite games is Just Cause 2 and Nvidia absoloutely raped AMD cards in that because of the architecture used in the game engine was built for nvidia plus all the extra GFX content i got to unlock using a NVIDIA card i remember when i was tossing up between the 6950 and gtx570, the 6950 was about 30-40% slower in most games. it took AMD a month or so to make proper drivers for their card. but you can get a 6950 1gb for the $230 brand new and a brand new gtx570 will set you back around $300-330. looking at reviews now, the 6950 has improved dramatically and is close to on par with the GTX570, so put your money on the 6950.
-
there is a massive difference from the ati/amd cards to Nvidia, i went from 4850x2 to the gtx570 and all my issues got resolved, no mroe crashes, lag, tearing etc. the 4850x2 is equivalent to the 4890, so i would strongly advise you to go either gtx570 or pay the extra couple dollars and go to gtx580. nvidia drivers are heaps more revised than the amd drivers. not being a fanboy or nothing, but def helps. and some games are utilising the physx and cuda engines on Nvidia cards. your cpu or ram wont bottleneck you gfx either.
