  1. put the head on, then do a compression test....... that should show. but if those plugs are in there, i guess its a NA, no point blocking oil feeds and drains on a turbo engine
  2. hey all, dont know if you guys have ever had this problem, i cant hit rev limiter, i can hit 5500rpm and then the car just dies, throttle wide open, boost drops to 0 and car stops driving but still keeps revs to 5500rpm, the engine just stops pushing........no boost no pull no nothing, just stays there, with foot to the floor. cant for the life of me figure out what it is. but sometimes it does go away, but instead, at 5500rpm it cuts out for 2 seconds and then just keeps going as if nothing happened.. any helpful info would be great. RB25 neo motor, no TCS in the car all stock besides exhaust and coilpacks.

  4. ive already looked under the car, everywhere i can, but cant locate a free plug anywhere.... kinda weird, but the person who abandoned the car originally, broke half the crap off the bottom of the plenum etc, most vacuum lines and water lines were all blocked or bent off. for what reason, i dont know.... i shall see if i can get a couple more pictures up. thanks for the help, ill see what i can find there
  5. hey guys, im trying to locate where these last couple of wires go on the RB26 engine.. can anyone help??? they come from the rear of the engine out the same big loom as the injectors and seem to follow to the underside of the engine. any help is great fully appreciated. Jean
  6. rs4s, has same atessa as 33gtr, same part time awd, and yes, the 260rs was a factory rb25 vehicle, and came with a rb25 plate. autech bought the rb25 stageas and just swapped engine, front/rear diff and shafts. other than that, its same as every other stagea.
  7. isnt this like the stagea rs4s debate??? its running a gts4 drivetrain but closer to that of a r33gtr, the rear drive shafts arent as strong nor do we have the same brakes as the GTR. all we have is the same gearbox and atessa system. also even though autech made that 4 door gtr, was it not just a modded gts4?? like the 260rs stagea, stock vehicles, came with the rb25 vin plates etc, but autech just threw in a different motor and upgraded some parts here and there?? so it really isnt a GTR...... besides the mere fact its a station wagon, but same principle, wasnt made by nissan, just a sub branch or authorised tuner?
  8. the connectors should fit, just make sure you have the right power steering holder to fit the pump, cause r33 and r34 pumps are the same, but different length.
  9. yup, bought car from them too, but found out later on about the rust, now i feel like an idiot same places too!!!
  10. i used a r34de bolt ons on the rb26 motor, it all fits on every motor as much as i can tell, just some of the holders are different.

  14. as much as i love the stagea, i have to disagree, my favorite of all time is still the Audi RS2, will win just about anything hands down (and also cause im building one but in a coupe shell )
  15. 2.5" mandrel is good, but a proper 3" system is always best and will see you get better figures. i went from original to JJR 3"- 3" stainless cat 175cell- HKS hi power silent 3", made noticable difference, but currently running split front pipe, 3" no cat and a straight pipe with HKS endpot. makes even bigger difference then with a proper system, sounds nicer too, but not a very wise choice! EPA, cops, etc if yours is blocked, try swapping out the cat, if its not that, you could have a blocked Muffler, so to recap, only go to 2.5" if you dont plan on upgrading anything! go to 3" if you want more headroom
  16. stock r33 is 2.5" just measured my stagea one, its ok to go from 2.5" to 3" cause after a while your exhaust gasses will cool down and expand so technically going from 2.5-3" is perfect. also a 3" down pipe costs bugger all these days. also from memory, the top half of your dump pipe is 3" and the bottom piece is 2.5"
  17. ive had a jjr r33 one and it fit, then i swapped for a r34gtt, split pipe and it also fit, but the jjr was very close to the gearbox holder and rubbed at low rpm for a quick second. all in all, both fit, and yes, the jjr has that stupid bolt you cant get in. *shakes fist vigorously*
  18. or if you want to do it a cheap way you can use a normal welder to just weld over that crack...... dont know how long that will hold since its steel weld on a cast iron manifold, but some people have done so and its been ok for years. (would advise against this though) so i guess my estimate for 50 was a bit over the top eh??? seems like they exist cheaper
  19. you can pick up a 2nd hand manifold for around 50 bucks. they wroth nothing, even if you opt for a low mount from ebay they around 200-300. better than a cracked one. and the rest depends on how good you are at bolting the thing up. from what i know any Rb20/25 exhaust manifold should fit.

  21. spotted another s2 behind me in mortdale, didnt see waht colour, was too dark. but followed me for about 200m
  22. just looked up some r33 airboxes and compared it to my s2 stagea box, looks the exact same, same mounting holes etc, but snorkel is a bit different
  23. there were 2 diff types in the r34 skylines, turbo and non turbo, dont know if that was the same with the r33 ones.

  25. my entire exhaust for my s2 c34 stagea cost me 500 bucks, that was a 2.5" with 200cell cat and 1 resonator. cant be that expensive, middle muffler should set you back maybe 200 bucks if that. and just borrow a set of wheels for the tyre issue. easy fix. but still dead on the 3rd issue
