  1. they aint cut. that how they are. ive never followed where they go, but its normal. all skylines and stageas ive worked on have that.
  2. i know a wrecker wrecking a m35 dont know if its vq25 or 35.... but its at: Sydney auto dismantlers 46 claremont Ave Greenacre 97092800 also has a c34 s1 rs4v there too, but no engine. they have parts for just about anything and everything import
  3. Guaranteed 40kw?????? If your pushing 500kw+ maybe, but not on a mildly tuned engine. Also 2600 bucks? Thats pretty steep....
  4. r33 handles will fit from memory might make life easier for you
  5. turbo is only available as a 2nd hand unit, and even then, they are getting old. find an equivalent size turbo to put on it, garrett or such. wont be cheap, around the 1k mark for a same size turbo. of for the same cash, get it rebuilt aka highflowed if it comes down to it. but that will create more lag. and lag is pretty bad as is on any skyline, dont want to increase it. you can remove turbo and just get a "transfer" pipe from turbo to dump, but you will loose about 60% of your power and your car will run like shit. its never recommended to do that coil packs, 400-600 depending on what your buying. afm, round 200ish o2 sensor is round 70 bucks turbo dying can usually be heard, a high pitched whining is usually a give away, so is a heap of smoke coming out your exhaust under full throttle.
  6. its a common thing for exchanged speedos or wound back speedos. so dont be surpised. in a very rare case, it will be genuine. but rarely. So dont believe the reading, see if the guy has auction papers or jap service receipts, log books etc... that will give you a more accurate idea
  7. how long is a piece of string? easy, give it to me and ill measure it haha, im such a troll skyline engines are pretty tough, the most common things that fail in the car are: turbo, afm, coilpacks and o2 sensor.
  8. btw, 90000km is a no go, pretty damn sure about that. or else it would fetch a bit more
  9. max power you would most possibly get without opening up your engine would be the 150hp mark. but it will be an expensive trip. N/A tuning is not for the shallow pocket, nor for the faint hearted, thats why BMW M power and AMG cost the goods like said above, wait till your off your p's or just buy a s2000. they haul ass
  10. My stag is currently off road, im in oyster bay atm. Pm me if you want
  11. haha, i bought mine there too. def dont have 60k on the clock, but when i bought mine about 1 month later it had that whistelling noise, but i drove it for roughly a year untill the seals blew and i even boosted the shit out of it. sonded the exact same all the time, still running 150psi across all cylinders too. so as much as i can guess, no severe problems internally.
  12. is it tuned for anything specific? bigger injectors, turbo or other settings? but yes your immobiliser could have problems with it
  13. haha, make thm sound all innocent so you forgive them! not gonna work on me, i love cars more than women! also i hope to hear back from them by mid of next week, as they are filing their report.
  14. spotted too many stageas again today..... like every other day, haha P.S, KNG M35, i took you up on your offer visiting your cafe cause i had a second, but noooooooo, you just so happened to go out when i came past!!!! so i just oogled out your car while drinking that hot chocolate with 1kg of cocao poweder in it
  15. first question is Why? if its manual, why swap to manual? if its for power, im sure the vl gearbox should sufice unless you are going above the 600hp mark. if its broken, i think the vl box is cheaper than a r33 box. so im just curious.
  16. should be afm, the 2500rpm is a safety measure if the afm voltages are playing up or they are broken. or even if you put z32/q45 afms in with a non compatible ecu. replace em with a different pair, (borrow someones for a quick exchange) and im 99% sure it will fix that problem.
  17. optional extra? ive only inspected a couple of stags and they never seemed to have it....
  18. i found fuel cut kicks in at 14.3ish psi, changed to power fc and have hit 16psi, but like said i dont think there is much gain, so i just run 14psi now as a safe tune. i have never seen a ceramic wheel shatter, but i have read about them. on my r34 op6 steel comp turbo i have hit a peak of 18psi as an accidental overboost, but that was only for a day. (16psi for 2 years straight before the seals gave in)- also had little to no shaft play replaced with this unit: r34 op6 plastic comp turbo and i have run a maximum of 15psi (now at 14psi for 6 months)
  19. plug wiring, go to an auto electrician and ask them to re-connect or solder the plug, say its not getting 100% contact to your AFM, shouldnt be much to fix. maybe 50 bucks. i would do it if i was in melbourne, but a bit too far for me...
  20. not your afm, i just fixed a problem just like it on a r33 s2 gtst, the plug became brittle and cracked, so cut the wires back about 1cm, then soldered the plug on it, now doesnt have any issues any more. been over a month and not a single problem. if you want, run your car under idle and wiggle the plug around, you will notice stalling and hesitation. so make sure you wire the cables into the plug, get a very small screwdriver to take the connectors out of the plug, then cut the wires and solder them onto the connectors and re plug the connectors back into the plug. there is a similar issue on the coilpack loom, with heat they become hard and break after some years, i replaced my loom a couple months ago
  21. pfft, mail call stagea my ass, mine has heaps more stickers, and its white! ill try getting pics of all the stageas i see, but its hard, cant whip out my phone all the time haha
  22. spotted a shitty little white stagea s2 Dayz with white volk rims parked in 39 herbert st, st leonards In front of Wescon Group. i was doing my pickups from there, i even got a photo. UMad Bodella? XD not as cool as my white bomb p.s as i cruise through sydney in my cool Mail Call van in ma little Red Mario hat, i now see at least 15-20 stageas a day, its getting out of hand......... i cant keep up
  23. Ok boys and girls, so i have found out its a RTA road and not city of sydney council. So i have to go through claims with the rta. I have sent the claim away so now im waiting on a reply. Will let you guys know as soon as i hear anything
  24. hey guys, as my other thread has stated, sooner or later i will need to get my hands on a rear subframe and hicas unit for the stagea. its the narrow cradle from the RS4S, so if anyone knows if a GTR cradle fits, that would also help. you can PM me with any advice or help thank you
