  1. You mean using a real BMW roof antenna then wiring it up to the R33?
  2. Yeah, maybe it's a bit like the gtr badge on a non-gtr sort of thing?
  3. Hey guys, This may be a long shot but has anyone fitted one of these to their cars? I thought it would be a nice little addition to set the Skyline apart from others, adding a bit of Euro touch to it. Anyways did a bit of searching around on Ebay and found this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Universal-Carbon-Fiber-Shark-Fin-Antenna-Decoration-/280661984783?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4158c2060f#ht_1033wt_905 So for around $76 it doesn't sound too bad. Thoughts anyone?
  4. Try this thread mate:http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/93178-r33-electric-side-mirror-repair-s2/page__p__5584548__hl__mirror__fromsearch__1#entry5584548
  5. shit really? I didn't think it would be THAT different
  6. R32,33 and 34 have the same seat mountings holes, coupe and sedan, although the brackets may have to be bent slightly to suit the 34,no big hassles.
  7. You can get the M spec lip off carmate: http://carmate.com/product_details.php?productid=NSGTS97NGFL The bar you've got on your car is a GTR style item, the series 2 bumper won't be as low if you haven't already lowered the car and the lip won't make it any lower. Im not sure how you would go about mounting it though, haven't had one myself. And if your talking about the indicators on the series 2 bumper next to the foglight,it can be done but apparently they are a real bitch to do. Have a read through this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/360799-clear-indicator-lense-for-series-2-project/
  8. Just jap sell them in triples but they're universal so I'm not sure how fitment would be: http://www.justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=17280&cat=325&page=1 And Ebay also has some up currently but they're doubles : http://cgi.ebay.com....=item2a0da82c1e http://cgi.ebay.com....=item33675bf1f4 http://cgi.ebay.com....=item2310278ab1 What size are your guages? because the holders are gonna have to fit a certain size. As for ideas for other mounting areas,if your not a smoker the cigarette lighter hole is a good place but the problem is it's out of your peripheral vision while driving.. If I had the 6 guages i would personally put 2 in the pillar holder,3 mounted in a casing on the dash and 1 in the ciggy lighter hole.
  9. ......did someone say fake bov's ^^^This'l get you laid brah.
  10. Hey everybody, Im putting my front mudguards back on my R33 but the problem is I don't have any clips for them.I tried coventrys but they didn't have them and the closest they had to the ones I needed were $3 each, times that by the number of holes in the mudguards = too much money for a simple fix. I'm thinking of going DIY. I thought of sikaflex but it seems a bit tacky to me,any suggestions? Also while I was taking off the rear bumper recently, I managed to break all three of the brittle plastic clips along the top.Again conventrys didn't have them. Going to go the DIY route on this too.Bolt, washer and nut aren't going to work for this as I won't have access to the nut while the bumper is on.Suggestions? Thanks.
  11. You can put a series 1 bumper onto a series 2 BUT it will not sit perfect.
  12. Any rough estimate on the price of these Phil? I could be interested as the paint on my roof is pretty botchy haha. But I agree with it sitting in the sunken area of the roof, would look sweet.
  13. It only took me 5 mins to remove the rear window wiper, didn't need the wd40 either. Grab a vice grip, put top jaw on bolt thing holding the arm on and bottom jaw on the bottom of arm and pop it off,you won't break anything.
  14. And i thought mine was low! lol Any trouble with speed humps and driveways?
  15. The GTR spoiler won't line up with GTST boot holes unfortunately. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/322423-r32-gtr-wing-on-r32-gts-t-boot/
  16. I also found using metal polish on old metal parts work a treat too. I even went as far as sanding the rocker covers in 400 grade and took to it with the metal polish,im officially addicted to the stuff lol.
  17. That because the one in the link is the sedan version. The R33 we're all used to seeing is the coupe version.
  18. How do they do that? is it the immobilizer light thing?
  19. My excellent paint skills as per photo:
  20. The driver of that 33 woulda been shittin bricks mate
  21. Yeah what cal said. There's a plastic cover at the base of the arm,pop them off and it should reveal a 12mm nut. The driver's side one is pretty easy, once you got the nut off you push down on the joint to relieve the spring tension and it should come off.The passenger side one is a bit harder, once i got the nut off it took me two vice grips to get it off lol. In terms of prep work i just gave them a quick rub over with 400 grade and got rid of old flaky paint. Also just a note, when your putting them back on it helps to put a bit of lubricant grease around the boss and inside where the wiper arm slots into it.I used marine grade.
  22. the mesh or the intercooler,or both? Ive thought about this idea about painting the cooler black too but if it is good enough to pass pits doesn't that mean it should be alright with the cops?
