I'm only young myself (19) and consider myself fairly fit. Not overweight, and I use the gym. Recently I have found out my cholesterol is high, so I have changed my diet. If you look up low cholesterol diets and incorporate lots of protien that's about the leanest, healthiest way you can eat. Lots of grains and cut out processed foods, lots of chicken and omega 3's etc. Go for wholemeal pastas and go for low fat options of everything (I still drink whole milk, though). Ditch soft drinks and drink water. There are meal plans out there and the food is tasty as, I love my new diet, even though I didn't think I was eating poorly before. I know this doesn't really apply to you and I'm kind of rudely assuming that you eat poorly, but regardless of how you eat now, if you change it up to incorporate the things I just said, even if your blood work is fine now, it will ensure you're healthy in the future. If you get serious with your cardio, you could lose that 8kg within a fortnight. A lot of overweight people drop a shitload of weight very quickly when they start working out. I guess it's all about how hard you work. Try and get a gym buddy and push each other to maintain motivation, that will be the biggest issue and it's something I can find myself struggling with. Once you start you'll love it though, just try not to break your routine otherwise you'll slip out of it. Good luck mate.

Learner Logbook Exemption (Qld)
kawasakirider replied to kawasakirider's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Her parents aren't around. Her mother is up north where we came from, and her old man is in NZ. I don't have any mates that have had their opens for a whole year, either. -
If this is the case, how does one legally mod a car? If you can get done for an EGNINEERED FMIC, how can you have one without any risk of being defected? I can understand suspension and exhaust mods where the engineer has been a bit forgiving and said "you're right, mate" but with something of no real consequence, why are coppers defecting things like this? The laws are ridiculous these days, the police should be focusing on dangerous driving and dangerous cars, rather than cars that are in better condition than stock. Or focus on real crime.... Not having a dig at you, mate. You seem like a fine officer, and I've dealt with a few good cops, but my last run in with them has really left a sour taste in my mouth. FWIW, my old man is an ex Det. Sgt.

Hey everyone, up until now my GF has been stuck on her learners, as she hasn't had an open licenced driver to give her lessons. I haven't been able to legally instruct her, as I'm still on my green P's. Anyway, we just found out about the "Exemption from logbook requirements Application" form and I picked one up from QLD transport. She meets the criteria as far as I can see, but something stipulated on the form isn't making sense. It states: Can anyone give me some insight regarding this "3 year period" they are talking about? Will the fact that my GF has held her learner licence for 2 years be taken into account, or will the process start over again, minus the logbook? Any help would be appreciated. The bloke at QLD transport was a bit of an airhead who became flustered when presented with questions.... It would be very beneficial if my GF could have her licence, it's so hard with us both being in uni and her relying on me to get her to public transport or to take her various places. Thanks in advance

Hey mate, nice 32. Just curious what is the arm thing that is keeping the belt off the seat? It's an awesome idea.

Search Function
kawasakirider replied to endless's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
I didn't say that to be rude, sorry if you took it that way, your search function is better than most. I have had to resort to my method, though. -
You mean that you thought you were the stig, and thought you had the necessary skill to tailgate. No excuse for running up someones ass except for something dangerous being on the road, on a blind corner and you and your friend both jumping off the road to avoid it.

Search Function
kawasakirider replied to endless's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
If the search function is ever down again, go to google and type this in.... site:skylinesaustralia.com <insert keywords here> make sure you use the arrows around the search term. This obviously won't work if you're just looking to browse new posts, but it's actually better than any forum search function I've used. -
Oh ok, cool. So you would have worked on varsity lakes then?

Fantastic car. What do you do, if it's not too invasive?

Awkw Vs Rwkw Vs Flywheel/engine Kw
kawasakirider replied to Aussie_Delivered_R32_GTR's topic in New South Wales
Is it because they don't have an AWD dyno available? If I had an AWD car I'd prefer an AWKW figure. -
Awkw Vs Rwkw Vs Flywheel/engine Kw
kawasakirider replied to Aussie_Delivered_R32_GTR's topic in New South Wales
What I've always wanted to know is what are R34 and R33 GTR drivers talking about when they say their car has XXX RWKW? Surely they aren't taking the driveshaft out of the transfer case to get these readings, and to my knowledge only the 32's AWD can be disabled by pulling a fuse. Is there a way to disable AWD in a 33/34 GTR? -
Revs Jumping When Turning Steering Wheel
kawasakirider replied to LOC033's topic in General Maintenance
The revving up whilst turning is normal, as explained above. But the thing is, to hear it or for the engine to do that whilst turning, you must be stationary. You should never turn the wheel of a car while it isn't moving, if you're an OK driver, there's no need to. It puts undue stress on the steering components, specifically the PS pump. -
The VN never had an ecotec

It's evident that she didn't give way to her right in the pics. If you took photos of the cars at the location you should be OK. That really sucks mate.

Could it not be a manifold gasket?

Getting A New Work Car Sugestions Appreciated
kawasakirider replied to kralster's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I know you said no falcons or commodores, but an XR6 turbo ute would go alright -
This is going to suck for me when I get a skyline. I'm only 19 and I've never had a car in my name -.- lol. I guess you've got to pay to play, though. The peace of mind would be great for me, as I plan on using the car as a daily so the chances of it getting pranged/pinched are higher than your weekend cruiser.

How are your 3D skills? Nice heli, I'd be keen but I'd only flown coaxials before. Would you be interested to trade + cash my way for a full 1/8 truggy racing set up?

Worst Rims I Think I've Ever Seen.
kawasakirider replied to Bizkit's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
The car is ugly anyway, it's got two extra doors. -
Hey everyone, I'm putting this car up here for a mate. I've driven it, and I will say it changed my mind about the hondas. Never thought much of them because they were FWD, but this thing hauls ass. I would say you'd be hard pressed to find a quicker car that is P plate legal than one of these. It has an integra B18C Vtec engine in it, and it pulls very hard. Here are some pictures The list of mods are as follows: I am selling my '89 Honda CRX, it's lowered on king springs, full CYBEX kit, Hasport engine mounts, Hondata200 ECU, Recaro imitation bucket seats, momo steering wheel Rego. til Dec. 2011 No mechanical faults. No Leaks. Extremely Fuel efficient $35-40 to fill tank from empty (depending on prices) - 600km to a tank. B18C VTEC!! VERY QUICK P PLATE CAR. + more. $6000 NEGOTIABLE! Make on offer you never know. Contact via PM on here, or ring/txt my mate on 0411 115 851 His name is Matt. The car has been driven responsibly (my mate doesn't get up his car too much, I gave it a bit of stick for the 30 seconds that I drove it, it probably needed it to be honest haha) and serviced regularly.

That looks platinum to me.

He would have put it in the yard for 18k.... That lowballer is a tool, the price your asking is MORE than low enough. I'm going to be spewing when this sells and I have to pay 18k for one, lol.
