The box is a bit noisy after you let off the clutch after the 1st to 2nd gear change, if you drive it sensibly it isn't noisy at all. Yeah mate, that's my target market Cheers man. I'm gunna clean her up next weekend after I get the box out, probably gunna change the trims between the front and rear doors on the outside of the car as they are faded, put a stereo in it and replace a hazard light button that it's missing and put it up for $5,000 and see what people will say. Carsales has some decent examples for between 5 and 7k, so I think I'll make a killing, considering it cost me pittance.

I think you should head over to booscruising, considering you can't punctuate your post with a comma. I don't like commodores, this is just a way for me to make some money to go toward a skyline, I have no intentions of keeping it.

Hey everyone, I picked this up the day before yesterday for a trade of my XF ute and a bushbasher XF with a good engine and a 5 speed. My mate that traded it to me had no need/want for it and was green with envy as another one of our mates just bought an XH ute with a few mods that has 199.1 HP at the treads and now he's in pursuit of a fun ute aswell. It's a 98 model VT (if you don't like the fact it's not a skyline, don't post please) Good points: GETRAG 5 speed manual from factory Good paint 17's New tires Everything is in good condition, no bumps/rattles etc (it's rattle less than my AU) GETRAG 5 speed manual from factory Bad points: The GETRAG needs to be recoe'd/replaced Apparently the springs in the back are worn and make it unstable at speeds of 140kmh + (I've had it to 140 and didn't feel anything untoward, private road ofcourse) so is this an honest reason to make a car unstable? It really seems to handle quite well and I couldn't fault it, but maybe I was just lucky. The getrag makes horrid crunching/spinning noises going into second and all the other gears if you get up it, you can make no noise in any of the gears if you drive like an absolute grandmother. Because I have no idea wtf is wrong with it, I won't be driving it until it's fixed. My plans are to fix/replace the GETRAG, lower it, put a stereo in it (the old one was taken out), give it a good clean as it's filthy, and sell it to buy something else, VT's aren't my favourite car. Here are some pics: So once the gearbox is fixed, I am confident that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the car, it starts first go, has 212xxx km, handles great and has a 5speed. How much do you guys think I could fetch for it? It really is in great condition apart from the gearbox. OH and it has a new clutch I think I got a good deal.

The local golden casket is overdue on their HPI invoice since last year.... They say there isn't enough demand for it, to justify paying for it. Guh... I'll have to subscribe.

I am a level 58 or 59 on modern warfare 2 on live. Really enjoy that game, the online never seems to get old. Finished Alan Wake, that was a good game for the story, but gameplay can be a bit repetitive and frustrating. Really want forza 3, are there actual "drift" events in the game? Can you get 34 gt-t's or any RWD skylines? I also want Red Dead Redemption and can't wait for COD: Black Ops to come out. If anyone here plays modern warfare 2 online, my gamertag is KAWA5AK1R1D3R (kawasakirider with digits, lol) it's all in caps, I'm not sure if that matters when entering friends on live. You linked the pro, but said rtr. Didn't know if you meant it is the pro and you've set it up to be rtr, or that it is the pro rtr. Either way, DX2's can be had for under $150 now. But yeah, RC prices in Aus are ridiculous.... I can get a kyosho 777 st-rr pro kit for around 750 delivered from the US but rchobbies.com.au has the old inferno ST-R kit for over $800 I usually get my stuff from the US. GL with the sale, some pics of it may help. IDK what the original motor is, you sure the backplate will fit on the axial?

Pull start or starter box? What sort of radio man, 2.4ghz or rtr futaba gear?

Not trying to be an ass, but I drive 100km on a shitty highway every day (the bruce highway north of the sunshine coast) and when it rains there are spots where you aquaplane all the time. Best thing you can do is hold the wheel straight and let off the throttle, if you brake it can really unsettle the car.

It's all relative to how sideways you are. If you are way too sideways to countersteer and regain control you can turn the way you are spinning, this will make you spin around (obviously) but it will also make you lose a lot the momentum you have, whereas counter steering will either keep you going sideways, or kick you back the other way and if you don't catch it you'll be in the same situation. Go to a skidpan and learn how to countersteer, also learn when you have no hope of countersteering to get out of the slide... The point of no return. Tapping the brakes can settle the car, too. Just once or twice, don't stay on them too hard.

My AU falcon makes heaps of smoke, surely it doesn't have much more than 100kw atw. Anyway, burnouts are shit, all they do is ruin your tires and there's no skill so it doesn't look cool. Once you get your car RWD, you should attempt roundabout drifts in peak hour. Joke, but I'm pretty sure an n/a skyline would be able to smoke the tires, it's just pointless.

I was talking about auto commodores/falcons mate. So a manual 34 GT v an auto AU falcon, if the manual driver knew how to shift properly, the GT would keep pace? Yes is the answer I want to hear, but I am skeptical lol. Thanks for your advice. Ever take your cars out to hervey siding for a spirited drive?

Really mate? I have been lead to believe that a falcon or commodore would be a lot quicker off the line and to a certain speed due to the torque of the larger engines? If this isn't true then it's kind of refreshing to hear. Anyone got specs or a decent amount of knowledge to give a run down on how a nice 34 GT goes?

Pretty funny that everyone's recommending HPI... I went through my huge stack of mags (mostly comprised of freerider mx, zoo and other mx mags) because I knew I had a few car mags with skylines in them. I found a HPI skyline special, the Z tune GTR is so gorgeous..... Found another mag that was a performance imports also, has a nice 33 in it.

Hey mate, just curious if you have a build thread for your +T conversion? The reason I ask is I am considering buying a 34 gt as I'm on my P's and selling it for a GT-T later. But if it's easy enough to turbo and get good power without going insane with the boost (7 psi, not nearly a whole bar like you have) it may be the go. Cheers

Only other question is.... Pics? Lol. Yeah I know if it was an auto it has a seperate TCU (same as falcons) but if it has had a manual conversion doesn't the TCU and auto ECU get pissed off in favor of a manual ECU? Also, yeah, I know it was a DET, that's why I put the pic of the plate up. Really keen on getting a 34 GT-T once I'm off my P's or maybe even a GT before I get off them and sell it for a GT-T later on. Whack up some pics of your 33 man.
