  1. No rubzy, I didn't mean one person in particular. I should have written "youse". lol
  2. Just an observation and comment Everything you post on here, including broadcasting what other illegal mods he's missed, can be read by anybody, Be wary of stirring the hornet's nest and creating an even more frenzied attack on the Skyline community. My wife and I hold our breath everytime we see a cop car while out in the Skyline. I've even pulled to the right at an intersection to let a cop car squeeze past get around a corner on my left and got a friendly wave back. Obviously I wasn't in Glenelg. Mentioning a certain importers name to a certain officer may not do much good, as he is the one who showed a certain officer what to look for ; the justification being that the "educated" officer only defected you for illegal things not just what he thinks might be illegal. So if he finds your boost controller, consider yourself done. Also this guy has been put into a car by SAPOL and told to "go out and get 'em". He's doing a very good job, apparently. It's good that those who get defected post it here so we know the current hotspot. It's a bit like speed camera locations. If Glenelg is the current haunt then I will avoid that area in my Skyline. I wouldn't even ride my sport bike to Glenelg as police there are, or at least were, hot on bikes as well. Here's an example from a workmate. An officer ran over to his bike before he hardly even got his helmet off and defected him for having a fender eliminator kit on his bike. He was also told "we don't want you lot down here" - referring to motorcyclists. From what I was told, that was a wish of the local Mayor. Hmmm I must tether those pod filters.
  3. Crunched hile trying to get into fifth on the weekend. It just didn't want to go in. It was like I wasn't even using the clutch. This was at 1.5hours into a 4 hour drive. Didn't do it again. For now I'll just live with it.
  4. Still for sale. Apexi N1 dual cat back to suit R33 GTR - $500 ono
  5. I had an occasional crunch into 5th even when changing at a casual rate also the odd crunch on fast changes into other gears. I put in Redline Shockproof Light and it pretty much all went away. It crunched once into 5th soon after putting it in but not again for the last 3-4,000kM. Occasionally I feel a slight grab into one of the other gears, but not a crunch. For my g/box and hip pocket Redline Shockproof Light was the answer.
  6. You're not wrong I'm missing something, please explain how 3 years later comes into it. If you mean from the first post to mine that's 1 year and 11mths.
  7. 3 years later than what? Have I missed something Also to clarify, I meant I have "done in" my boot not "done" as in replaced it.
  8. Digging up an old thread here. I've done the rightfront drive shaft inner boot on my R33 GTR. I rang SA suspension and they only had a part number for an R32. My question...... Do the R32 and R33 GTR's use the same boot. If anyone knows for sure and it is the same, I can buy the boot and do the job over Easter, otherwise I have to take the shaft out to try and find a match. Thanks.
  9. Hi Nigel. I may be interested in your bilsteins. I have tein flex on mine which for me are way too firm for road use (F=8kg/mm and r=7kg/mm). They appear to be in excellent condition. I may also be interested in your Castor rods.

  10. Ignore my previous post. I just read the heading and got my answer
  11. Is this a custom made system, or off the shelf. If it is OTS can anyone tell me what it is. I am looking for reasonably quiet and free flowing.

  15. Apexi N1 dual exhaust, catback to suit R33 GTR and GTST. Sounds awesome on full throttle. Missus doesn't appreciate it though, and it's too expensive to change the wife. Asking $500.00
  16. Thanks for the response. I have already changed the oil since I posted my issue. It hasn't crunched since I put it in. I used shockproof light. It had also crunched on one or two other gears, but it was just the odd one. I checked my brake fluid and the level is ok. Even if there was a bit of air in the system by the time you get to 5th, it's been pumped a few times. It should really be crunching when selecting first after being stationary out of gear. or cruising for a while before a gear change. I'm hoping this Redline (smurfs blood) has solved/covered-up my crunchy problem.
  17. My R33 GTR has 6.5" front and rear, which in metric is known as a 170mm speaker.
  18. I'm interested in the suspension tops. You've said they are R33 - is that that same as R33 GTR.
  19. "They teach them that it’s cheaper to replace brake pads than it is to replace gear boxes so that’s why they all come screaming up behind you and slam on the brakes and I quite frankly still think that’s bad driving practice but that’s what they’re all taught by professional driving instructors…" I've had big arguments with my wife over this. I tried to teach the kids to slow down using gears and brakes so you can re-accelerate in the correct gear without trying to find the right one, but the instructor says brakes are cheaper, and don't confuse them with changing down gears while they are learning (but it's ok to change up) And of course the instructors have auto's because it's easier to teach in, then the kids can go drive a manual with no manual training. They also never get to experience emergency stopping and manouvering to avoid an accident. Just drive slowly and carefully, and when it all goes pear shaped... too bad.
  20. I believe that if you use LED's they should be inconspicuous maybe by using a diffuser as said a couple of posts above . If I go for this complete set up I would not be wanting to attract the wrong sort of attention. Even if we kept the standard globes there would still have to be some type of diffuser as per the standard lens. Could that be done by sand blasting the lens in that area.
  21. I'm after an R32 GTR ECU, if so how much and would you post to SA.
  22. Which cop shop, or would you sooner keep it quiet?
