thanks for the comments i know what your saying about flow testing and that i am after a one off pice and in the uk gredy and plaman one are quite expensive £500+ the guy who might be helping me fabricate it in heavily into motor racing and has made inlets up before for high spec cars just not skylines thanks for all the inlet pics im shore they will be very handy if i do decide to do this

to cut a long story short i was talking to a guy today who makes up custom bits and bobs for cars and motorbikes some of his work has gone into a few cars that have featured on the front page of magazines so i started talking to him about making me up a front entry plenum up but not using the standard one on a gtst is it going to be worth it and is there anything to watch out for if i start making one up?

right a few more bits done got these changing all the bulbs behind the clocks to LEDs the difference between the whits LEDs and the yellow stock clock bulbs did this mod as well so the dipped head lights stay on when the main beam is on got this oil cooler to fit soon and a gtr style grill

clocks minus the plastic cover you have to take the rev bit out and take the mmg gauge off new dials going on i put all the faces on the dials then realized i didn't have anything to stick the new faces down with so it was off to the shops minus a dash and clocks that was a bit weired lol right then got no pics of it going in because it was getting dark so ive got the dials in and wired up will be off in a moe to put it all back together this is how they look

next thing was a engine damper wasent very happy with the blue LEDs behind the dash as the needles didnt light up very well so i got some plasma dails will show you what it looks like in just a minute

one thing that used to wind m up was that my interior light would turn off as soon as the door shut so i fugued out this light stays on for ten secs after my door has been shut ran a wire up from this to the map reading light and connected the two LEDs left over from my dash conversion this is what it looks like at night a nice subtle light in the day with the other light on this is only temp at the mo will mount the LEDs in there properly on the week end me other mod a festoon 31mm 4 led light for the light in the middle of the car in and working well bright now with the defuser back on both light together

i put some blue LEDs in the dash and the switch's instead of the crappy green glow new oil cap

as time whent by i started sourcing a few parts hks bov on a hard pipe i thought i would blank off the std recic home made recerc blanking plate i bought a secondhand apexi air filter this is when a saw that i had a apexi afm B) then i put in my head unit and crappy boost gauge just to keep a eye on things ave put some dls mids and tweets in the front doors with a full skins kit got a alpine 12" sub and amp in boot only 350 watts got given a blown up 1500w alpine amp will cost me 120 to get it fixed then will have to find some speekers so i can have some bad ass bass some more goodies to put on hks ajustable actuator hid lights

thanks for the comments yeah definatly need to do something with the lights they do my head in did put dash leds in but there crap over hear so i found a better way will post some pics up soon

it dosent matter if the car is in neutral or not

i have disconected the acc electricaly and had the car up on blocks and leaft it idle and put it in 2nd and the revs still rose up so there must be anouther way that the ecu controls idle might get a consolt cable and plug a laptop in and see wat happens there are a lot of cars in the uk with this problem i just want to find out wat it is as it bugs me lol

hi my names dan and i live in cornwall in the uk i found your forum on anouther forum you have loads off information on here thats not in the uk. i thought i would post up my project and see what you guys think ive had my car for almost two years now and i think its time for a change alot of saving to be done as i want to go for 400bhp and a full body kit and respray i will probably do the engine first unless some thing lands on my lap at the right price lol heres afew pics of when i first got the car gettin a wash the car still looks more or less the same just afew scrapes on it now ahhhhh bloody cornish headges lol

lol i wouldnt say that all the best skylines are in austraila i have seen some well nice ones over here just mine is not a prime example yet lol it definatly needs a respary and a kit because mine is the worst skyline at the meets i go to lol and soz about the pickup thing thanks for the welcome dont alway do creek crossings in it lol whats wrong with 650 bhp rb26 exept the fuel costs over here and the price of the lumplol nah im quite happy with the 25 at the moe pmsl it dont take alot then

lol thats what you call a crossing yoused to have a pick up before the skyline and did a fair bit in the winter its the only thing i miss it for

sorry been at work all day just got it the idle is around 1250 to 1400have cleaned the acc valve and reset my car never yoused to do this because on my way home there is a long down hill to my house and i always coast to my house so the tubby can cool down so this problem has just started i have had the car for three years now is the cold start valve under the inlet plenum above the oil water cooler? because if it is i disconected this with the electrical plug and still the same thing happens have also disconected the acc valve and the same happens again is there any other way that the ecu can control the idle?

hi im new to your forum im from the uk have had my car for 3 years now and have got a wierd problem the car idles fine when standing still fine when below 5mph and fine when the speed sencor is unconected so this elemenates any mecanical elements, pipes off, spilts ect ect so this is something one of the ecus is telling somthing in the engine bay to do the thing is i dont know where to go next any ideas? i have tryed unpluging a few things in the engine bay with the car up on jacks idleing high in second gear to no avail am at a bit of a loss dan
