  1. Hi guys, Just a quick question, does the RB30 Auto setup use the same mounting locations for the gearbox and motor as a RB25DET with a Manual? Cheers, Phil
  2. Hi guys, I was hoping that someone might be able to help with engine widths. With both stock manifolds plus turbo bolted on are the Neo and the RB25DET in the R33 the exactly the same width? Cheers.
  3. Hi guys, Im looking into buying some gear from the US to take advantage of the dollar plus a new model that is not available in Australia yet. Do I need to worry about customs or anything else I should look into before I send off close to $900? Cheers
  4. I was told it is a Series 2 Manual Turbo ECU. Ill get the part number off it tonight. And Ill try those suggestions. Ill try and find part number on the ECU to Engine Loom too. It cranks so I would assume its not the Auto Neutral safety switch. Ill double check anyway.
  5. Motor is Series 2. Car was a Auto originally if that helps.
  6. Hi guys, I have a R33 S1.5 RB25DET Manual that's giving me some grief trying to get the car running going. I bought it at auction and when I got it home I found that the ECU had been chopped out. After 3 looms I now have one that works. I have checked: Diags. It gives me a Code 11. CAS Replaced CAS (tried 2 more), reset codes, check and get 55. All ok. Then crank and still get CAS code again No Spark Cant hear injectors pulsing when turning the CAS by hand It has Fuel pressure CAS has Power at plug Coils have Power at plugs Everything is plugged in besides ABS Unit plugs (Series 1.5 with Series 2 loom) and one down near the ECU. Pics here Cranks over fine Does anyone know what else to check? Cheers, Phil
  7. So have tried 3 CAS's now and still no go. Have no Spark. ECU is stil reporting CAS Error, have reset codes too. If I reset the codes, get 55 again, as soon as I crank it over again then check it again I get CAS Error again. What else should I look at?
  8. I just ran Diags on it. Code 11. CAS. Dammm. Ill pull it out and try it Femno. Otherwise I need to find a really nice bloke who can lend me one to see if that is the problem. Might have been damaged with a short when the guy cut the ECU out. Anyways I'm getting closer!
  9. So reading the Series 1 and 2 threads it looks like I have a Series 1 Body and Series 2 Motor....
  10. Cheers guys. What about the extra plug near the ECU? Car is built in 02/1995. Only has Airbag for driver, no ABS unit but SII Coils and orginal loom had the single relay near ECU not twin.
  11. and one more thing, its got a pod filter, but still has AFM and thats plugged in but there is 2 plugs im guessing for the airbox, that shouldnt stop it running though right?
  12. and here are the plugs near the wiper motor that I have no idea what they do.
  13. Nah I have that one plugged in. So it turns over, I have Power on the Coils, Fuel Pump is running. What do I check next? These are the unknown plugs. It looks like the half of the plug below this photo, would plug into this on the left.
  14. Well the car its going into is super basic. No ECU's to be seen in 1971! So the extra wiring might be handy. Plugged it all in last night and was left with some extra plugs (3 with decent gage wiring) up behind the rear of the pass side strut tower. Plus a extra one down near the ECU. There is: - Blue ECU Plug - PLUGGED IN - 1 Relay - PLUGGED IN - 1 White Plug (Which I think goes to the Dash) - PLUGGED IN - 1 White Plug that is smaller than above - Nothing to plug it into? I was guarantied that it is out of a SII R33 DET Man. Part of me thinks its a SI Car with a S2 Motor in it. Any ideas? If that doesn't make sense can get pics up tonight. Cheers for the help.
  15. Cheers guys. Picked up a unmolested SII Loom tonight so will put that into the car on Thursday and see how it goes. Hope it starts. I did thinking about transplanting whole loom, but I wont be running things like the A-LSD, Airbags, A/C so how will the ECU preform?
  16. This might be a option. I tired it with the Series 1 loom that I bought, cut off the plug and but had a few wires in the harness that had the same colour multiple times. Plus the series one loom has different colours and missing wires. Headache.
  17. I'm 99% sure, it has Series 2 coil packs plus the wiring in it now (cut off plug) only has the one relay down near the ECU. Best option to keep looking for a Loom?
  18. Hi guys, hope I have put this in the correct section. I have started a transplant of a RB25DET S2 Manual into my 1971 LC Holden Torana. I bought a complete crashed donner R33 Series 1 4 door with S2 Motor so I though I would have everything there but once I got it home relized that the guy had cut out the ECU. So I was left with a Engine to 100 wires loom and no ECU. I have bought ECUs and 2 looms but both have not worked, and one didnt even have the white plug on it. So now, wonder what other options I have? Should I just buy a aftermarket loom and ECU? Is that possible or will I still need a good R33 Engine to ECU Loom? I have 99% of it there but it has been cut 5cm from the ECU Plug. The plans for the motor are mild, it has a FMIC, I plan on putting a high mount turbo manifold and front facing plenum to allow for space between the rails and decent exhaust but thats about it. I also plan on using the R33 Dash in the Torana. I appreciate any info I can get. Cheers.
  19. I would be. In the process of putting one into RB25DET into my Torana.
  20. Do you have the ECU to Engine Loom? Willing to send to Perth if I pay postage?
  21. Does the S2 Loom work with a Series 1 engine? Are all the plugs the same?
  22. Yep that is first preference.
  23. Hi guys, I am looking for a ECU to engine bay loom for a R33 S1 because the previous owner has cut out the ECU and plug. So now I am left with a bundle of wire where the ECU mounts. If I cant find a loom can I use any other models plug? ie R32 or anything else if I rejoin the wires down near the kick panel? Also looking at the wiring diagrams it looks like there is double ups in colours etc, red, green, white/black, black, black/red for example that go to different pins on the ECU. Hope that makes sense. Bit confusing but it shouldn't matter which pin they go to as I assume that they are going to the same parts? Cheers.
  24. Hi guys, Just thought I would say hello. I am not the normal Skyline owner but will be running lots of Skyline gear. I have a 1971 LC Torana that will be getting a RB25DET in it very shortly. I have bought a R33 Series 1 and now just collecting all the parts to get it into the LC bay. Plan on running the 5 speed as well. So much good info on here so look forward to spend a fair bit of time on here learning. This was the first build: Now it looks like this: Cheers, Phil
