Hi guys I think the time as come to sell my mr30 skyline and I am completely in the dark on what its value would be. Any help getting a rough idea on value would be apreciated, Its a gold mr30 sedan running a modified l24e it has l20 turbo exhaust + inlet factory r33 ball baring turbo, xr6 front mount cooler has a waggot cam, rolland timing gears timemaster chain, turbosmart bov adjustable fpr, xtreme performance clutch, runs very well unsure what else has been done to engine as I purchased it built doesnt leak any coolant or oil not burning any either. has 16x7 mags tinted windows have orig block for it still loads of spare headlights tailights brand new clutch master thats not installed. has a few minor body issues paint as started to fade on the front so its duller then rest of car and a minor dent in the rear quarter pannel. has 270 on the clock but cluster I got with the motor has 150ish on it (no idea how many on build) only selling due to loosing interest in it and barely drive, thinking about purchasing an early mazda rotary.

I have spent the last day going through every electric related to starting I can think of and cant find a prob, spark is jumping about an inch on every cyl fuel psi is sitting on 40 and plugs keep fouling + can see fuel coming out exhaust when turning over. This has me completely stumped it was running perfectly one day then wouldnt start at all the next.(have taken all plugs out cleaned them and jumped with another car to rule out just being flooded). If any1 has any idea at all what it could be plz reply.

Hi, Have a bit of an issue with my mr30 its an l24e running a l20et turbo setup. Car was running fine two days ago went to start it next morning fired for few seconds ran rough and died when i let throttle go, then wouldnt start again just keeps turning over. Knew it was very low on fuel Placed about 10ltrs in, primed it fired briefly died then hasnt fired since. I have checked all cyl for spark, fpr sitting on about 30psi at rail (thought it norm has more) checked a few plugs and they seem to have fuel getting through. If anyone has any ideas or knows of anything that can cause this please help getting very annoyed with it.

Help With T3 Bb Turbo On R30
r3volt21 replied to r3volt21's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
thanks for the reply's pm sent -
i recently blew the compression housing seal when my wastegate actuator failed and was siezed shut, when i pulled the housing off i noticed some small cracks on one side of the plate around the turbine, I am unsure if this is a sign of housing fault or norm ware for an old turbo. The gasket that was sealing the housing was a cardboard gasket I thought there was meant to be a rubber O'ring there. The internals seem to be fine, no oil around intake or exhaust side no smoke was blown and there is no shaft side movement or signs of turbine rubbing on the housing. any help is greatly apreciated as it is my first turbo build.

">"> Thats them sorry about the size, they are in worse condition then i remember originally they were involved in a rear collision on one side still used them for a while till water got in them. u can see a crack on the rh one aswell now i think my kids have been in the spare room getting into things. no idea if they are even worth anything in this cond.
-
Not 100% sure which series the lights are i will take a photo of them with the damage i was talking about (i wont use them as are and cant be bothered fixing) they aren't worth much to me. Yea i am pretty sure the mr30 motor has the n47 head its at the workshop I use atm so i can pull it off easily not asking much for it hows $100 sound not sure what things are worth I don't want stupid prices for things just trying to be fair. Will get my mate to check the head stamp tomorrow.

As you have S1 lights, that's all red, maybe you could consider colour coding the outer red zone and then nobody would be any the wiser and the light area would only be the visible red. Just a thought that might get your problem solved. Cheers, D Thanks Dan didnt think of colour coding the whole light will give it a go lights didnt cost me anything so i have nothing to loose. -

thanks for the replay mag86 are thats even easier to just get it bent to fit looked at mine properly i dont have the flange their anymore anyway my engine pipe has just been expanded at the end and welded straight to my 2.5' exhaust, I might just have a play with the lights, i have some plastics that might work. -
Hi, I own a mr30 sedan and have my eye on some patrol 2.8 petrol extractors from a local wrecker and was just wondering if some1 could please tell me the amount I need to bring the flange back to make them fit. I also scored a pair of s1 red on red hotplates for it for free from a friend who wrote his off they have a chunk missing right at the top of the left one and i wouldnt worry as its hardly noticable when on the car but they get water behind, I was just wondering if anyone knows what i could repair this with doesnt have to look that great as i want them in more to make sure i like that style before tracking a good cond set down. Thanks in advance, Paul.
