  1. $147k down to $60k in 4 months. Man i hope my R35 dosn't depreciate that badly that quickly.
  2. As far as i know Hankooks do not have tyres that fit R35 spec wheels.
  3. Well i ended up squeezing 40,000kays out of them. Driving in the wet for the last 6months has been interesting. (I run at 36psi all round that could be why i got so much out of them).
  4. Spotted Silver GTR in my driveway. Still impresses me every morning before i get in and drive it to work.
  5. Well i bit the bullet last Friday. The blokes at CRD did a great job. Wow what a difference. The most noticeable thing so far is the mid range torque increase. No matter what speed or what gear, when you drop the foot it just pulls like a bastard.
  6. Just had 20,000km scheduled service on original Bridgestones. I reckon there is at lest another 5000ks left on front and rear. (a product of a lot of freeway driving i guess)
  7. Anyone in Sydney had a Cobb access port upgrade. If so please give us a run down on the benefits and gains. Any downsides (other than the obvious warranty thingo) and who installed it for you and for how much? Also, did you need to upgrade anything else (i think a midpipe is strongly recommended). That about covers it I think. If there is no one in Sydney I would also value anyone elses oppinion on it.
  8. Ordered direct from Stillen in the states (through there website). All up including freight for exhaust and midpipe was about $3,500 aus dollars but i think Stillen has dropped there price since. Speak to Sean (see his reply above in this post) if you are interested.
  9. Well Zorty. Over 100 views to this post but it looks like you and me are the only ones with GTR's that have tyres. Whoa, better duck here comes another tumbleweed.
  10. Did I fart in this post or is it that no one has tyres or GTR's? Whoops......there goes that tumbleweed again. Spooky.
  11. Only 3,000km on a '08 JDM. Sounds extremely sus to me. Also what about the history of the thing. You mentioned it had a cobb and ecu retune which means alot more grunt and hence more stress on the expensive bits. What condition are they in? Has it been flogged on the track? Remember no warranty so you don't want any nasty surprises. IMO either have it checked out thoroughly or pay a few extra bucks (in the scheme of things) and get an ADM. In any case ... good luck.
  12. Hi all, I thought it might be interesting to know what sort of life (mileage) people were getting out of a new set of the stock Bridgestones. I know there will be lots of variables (type of driving style, track sessions etc) that will effect peoples results but still think it would be interesting to see the spread. When I purchased my GTR the dealer told me to expect about 15,000km so it will be interesting to know what sort of mileage people are getting. For the sake of a starting point I'll kick it off (even although I still haven't got through the first set yet). So far I have done 12,500km and still looks like there's plenty left on both front and rear (reckon I might get another 10,000km). No track work and alot of freeway miles.
  13. Slight drone at low throttle under load but very bearable. Drone dissipates as revs increase and completely non audible on decel. Sounds bloody awsome on start up (particularly when cold) and settles into a nice burble on steady idle. But oh the sound under heavy acceleration (gives me a chubby just thinking about it). Will post a vid in the next couple of days (have recorded it...just need to work out how to load on pc, edit and upload).
  14. Done. Sounds friggin awesome. Particularly under load and change down. Havn't had a chance to really punt it yet so not sure if any noticable addition to grunt. Will try and organise vid over weekend.
  15. Thanks Sean. Will let you know what I think after install tomorrow.
  16. Arrived today. Not bad since i only ordered it from the states last Thursday. Looks prurty. Make a nice sculpture. Install Friday.
  17. Stillen was recommended by a bloke from Tassie who was at the drive day. I did some research and decided Stillen was the go. (Thats why i was after comments from anyone else that may have used Stillen). Anyway I have bitten the bullet now. Stillen pipes on the way via Fed Ex. Should have by end of week and installed by weekend. I will post before and after vids if I can work out how too.
  18. Hellohhhh out there. Someone.........anyone........ F..k me I think i just got hit in the face with a bit of tumbleweed.
  19. 26 views no replies. I'm not sure how to take that. Surely someone has or has heard of Stillen.
