Thanks for the input SK. i guess ill just stick with the HKS GT-RS. i am considering mounting the turbo up a little more and makeing it externally gated so it holds boost better as the internal gate gives me the shits. i know the power increase will be minimal but does it saound like an okay idea?

consider trade for HKS setup?

yeah i think he was running a HKS3040 from memory. I would expect more power than that though from the HKS3040. would think around 350rwkw??

currently been thinking about upgrading my HKS GT-RS turbo on my R33 GTST. im after the 320 rwkw make but dont want a laggy ass turbo. Currently making 260rwkw and bored of it. What turbo's have you people seen make 320rwkw without too much lag (preferably HKS turbos). considering the HKS 3040 but not too sure on how it goes. any help/dyno graphs will be appreciated.

for a perfect street car i think u will need round 280-300rwkw. i have 260 at the moment and it feels a little slow after a while. definately going to upgrade to something bigger

any one have these coilovers on their car? are they any good? i am thinking of purchasing them but not too sure about them yet. I hear as they are relatively soft they wont be good for the track? My car is mainly used for the street, however i still do the occasional drag/track.

mesh looks stupid. wrecks the look of a cooler. my cooler is in next to perfect condition and i have had it unmeshed for 3 years now.

Just had it out last night. No problems at all. reving it hrd as and knock didnt go over 11. seems ok. no idea maybe cause of the heat?

im tending to think my sensor is just picking up engine noise and is too sensitive. I cant hear any pinging so it should be ok?

Paul/R31 it does not knock all the time. most of the time i boot it and its fine but sometimes the light comes on. The laptop read very low knock levels so im not surew which to believe. The mechanic and tuner said there was definately no knock but the sensor says otherwise. Yeah making 260rwkw on GTRS on 17psi with more in it. They still have not played with the exhaust cam as my exhaust manifold (one of those stainless ones) cannot flow enough and boost begins to spike. Next step is to get a custom manifold and go for 20psi

as above i am after R33 GTR front bar plastic indicator inserts. Those black things that hold the indicator clip into the hole on the bar. see pic below.

just had my car tuned made 265rwkw on 17psi. On the dyno using the lap top software the car registered no pinging (30-40 on full load). Now we took it for a drive on the road and its making 140 knock on the hand controller.. im puzzled! The tuner and my mechanic listened carefully but heard no pinging. but at 140 knock on the hand controller would definately be heard when driving or near the motor. So my question is is my knock senser dodgy? or is it too sensitive and just picking up engine noise etc? Has this happened to anyone before?

PM's replied to. He may be selling his wheels but you do the math and work out how much it costs to add tyres. Yes centre caps are included.
