  1. I am also getting one of these in about 3 weeks or so. Want to start up a group buy through nengun or the like? I think they are just under $1000 there now so we could prob take $100 or more from that if we get a few numbers???
  2. If anyone is after a HKS turbo upgrade get the GT-RS! my mate has this installed (at BD4's) and its nuts! I will have mine on in a weeks time just labour at the moment. The gt-rs is honestly nothing short of nutz! 1st to 4th gear is just wheelspin without dumping clutch, no lag, consistent power curve. The car really get's up and goes. I will make a thread on this in the coming week and show all the results. So far i highly reccomend it!
  3. As above i am after an electronic boost controller: preferably the apexi avcr or the G-reddy profec b spec2. If there are any others that are willing to sell at a good price i may consider... Thanks.

  5. stock is around 5 or so pound at low revs but when you hit higher revs (around 4500 i think) boost will rise to around 7psi. if i were u i would leave it around 8psi, you should be able to take any commy with that. Save up for a computer and a cooler then you can happily run 12 all day long.
  6. Scotty this will work i am sure! all you have to do is run down to the local performance shop and pour $7,000 into it with a new turbo kit and all the rest and trust me you will be smiling! My mate just finished up with his and all he does is drive it day in day out!

  11. I am after a clutch in the next 3-4 weeks or so (R33 gtst). Anyways i have a mate who should be able to get clutches at a discount price especially if there are a few people interested. I already have a mate with me so that makes 2 so far. The clutches ar only for R33 gtst's no GTR or R32 (just to keep things simple). Not sure exactly on a price but i think they retail around $1500-1600 so prob deduct approx $200 dollars off that to start with (estimate). As far as the clutches are concerned i hear that these are really good, if not the best clutches for R33 gtst's chasing reasonable power (300kw) and they are very streetable. Best do a search and find out more about them. Any input is appreciated. Thanks... Boro...
  12. I would not do it. Aparently it is a possibility to starve the 2 top pistons. Nissan made the plenum like that for a reason and after all the R&D they must have done i would not judge it. If u decide to go through with it a few ppl on the forums have done it. Heres a pic:
  13. I had a run with a gtir at an industrial area out west... He never got me and he had exhaust and 14psi (approx) boost. He didnt rev and dump or anything just a normal launch... Ps my car was standard boost with the rest of the usual mods...
  14. My mate had one and said they were full of problems. His hand was inhis pocket fixing things all the time and it was a clean example...
  15. Thanks SK just about to get it now. Will put up a post in the coming weeks to show results. What boost do you think i should get it tuned at? Im thinking of 14psi for all day everyday use?
  16. i just got a CES split-dump pipe fitted... its a t3 flange so im assuming it will bolt onto the GT-RS perfectly... Also when installing the dump pipe i replaced gaskets on both sides. On the exhaust side i just replaced the gasket and there is now a big gasket leak (you can feel the air rushing out). Am i supposed to use sealer as well as a gasket?
  17. already have fuel rail, surge tank and bleeder from before (bought it with injectors and pump). The turbo comes with a actuator, but would winding it up to specified boost be better than an ebc? would it spike alot?
  18. Why do people get dual stage boost controllers??? why not just leave it at 1 boost setting and drive softer and easier to save fuel with just a bleed valve? Also if you tuned your car to lets say 12psi with the dual stage controller and later turned it up to 16psi (high boost), wouldn't your car run lean as the air/fuel mixtures would be out?

Just in the process of doing a turbo conversion and have a few Q's... 1) if i install 555cc injectors can i still drive the car with the standard computer or will the computer just go stupid? 2) i have the following parts here and on the way and at home for rb25: hks GT-RS turbo, apexi 555cc injectors, fuel rail, 044 pump, oil catch can, surge tank, power FC, bleed valve (temporary until ebc). I already have a exhaust and dump cooler etc... Can anyone see any thing i will need or any flaws in my setup? Will make a post in the coming weeks with all the dyno sheets and the rest to show how this turbo works... Thanks...
  20. 4bella i have the same prob. I think it is something to do with the air/fuel mixtures get your car on a dyno and try sort it out that way. I am in the process of changing computer/coil packs etc. this should fix it.
  21. Nice cars the merc, but how could you even consider it over a r34 gtr. I would take a GTR34 over anything! The best value for money car as i see it. I prefer them to ferrari's and lamb's. Anything!
  22. Its not defectable, i was driving like this with my cooler out for 4-5 months. i had my plate in the front window. as long as you have blinkers attached to the front and no sharp objects you will be ok.
  23. is there anywhere you can buy plastic 400r front bars or copy GTR bars?
