RB26 OR RB30. Need a bit of clarity
Asking on behalf of a friend who doesn't have Facebook.. He is having trouble on which path to take on his 34 Gtr.. There are two options he is currently tossing up: (both options will be stock blocks with nitto rods and pistons and ported and polished heads with oversized valve spring etc. Cams wil be decided later on). Consider which will work better with the getrag 6speed.
Built RB26 with a fully built head running a PT6266 .84 rear
Or
Built RB30 with a fully built head to suit running a PT6466 .84 rear.
Aiming for a responsive 500kwish with a reliability. Please consider costs as well as I'd imagine the RB26 route should be cheaper plus engine numbers can remain the same and a bit less fab work.. Etc. TIA!

Also quite a few people are running 400+ on a stock 26 on e85. Its amazing how strong these rb's are.
Hey peter.
Nah still got it capped at 7k and the occasional 7.5. I really want a midrange street car. Hopefully my next retune with e85 should see that. Lol he can drive my car, but then i'll drive his
Yes, I was using hks intake pipes. My turbo's didn't like them. It would cause them to stall/shuffle. Went back to standard got a retune. Never had another issue again.
