  2. Yeah as I may have eluded to in my first post its stock, and im very happy with it Id like to keep it as close to that as possible, then again it's very tempting to go for more power when your repairing something of this value.. My thought process is 'well while it's out might as well make the most of the expense!' Of course with that attitude, upgrading turbos comes more problems if you leave stock driveline etc. so after all - stock rocks. Esp given my recent haul of traffic infringements! Anyone else had a similar situation - what was the result? high flow, upgrade, rebuild?
  3. Hi All, Thanks for the feedback.. Im in VIC - South East. The mechanic Ive used has been always reliable for my previous R32 and now my M35... Will get in contact with Scott nm35. Also - any ideas what causes the turbo to fail? Ive never owned a car that hasn't been turbocharged and this is the first turbo to fail... At 120xxx km's I would have thought this is a little early for failure of what I would consider a fairly major part..
  4. So my turbo is going, going, soon to be gone... I have a 2003 M35 Stagea, 120xxx km's. Stock - except for some mad-as wheel nuts! My mechanic has told me that to rebuild the turbo will be around the 2.5k mark based on the following: Engine removal (as the turbo cannot be reached any other way) Rebuild the turbo (as a replacement from Nissan will be too expensive) Refit the new turbo Replace Engine So my question to all you fellow Stag drivers is this: Is the price/quote correct & must the engine be removed to replace/rebuild the standard turbo?

  6. As per the title, has anyone replaced their head unit with aftermarket and has an operational Nissan head unit lying around they want some cash for? The same as the one pictured. Cheers
  7. Just received my order for Stag M35 interior bits Chirs was true to his word & kept me updated thorughout the shipping process from Jap --> Aus and from Brissy --> Melb as theres nothin worse than not knowing where your stuff is! Wouldnt hesitate to recommend using him in future Thanks
  8. My M35 Stag has the Autech badge on the bottom right corner of the tailgate But im wondering what extra parts the Autech has over the standard factory version? What should it have/should I look for? and what parts were packaged as part of the Autech Version? I'm assuming the Autech Version excluded tv/navi, or leather, heated seats, sunrooves etc. as they were options? Have searched this site & Autech's English website - if i've missed something please link me to it!
  9. I also put it in nuetral I always remember old shitty auto's vibrating away when stationary - Nuetral always stopped the vibrations Mines nowhere near that atage but I thought that by putting it nuetral at lights it was way of avoiding that problem However I can see the logic behind extra wear and tear - as every gear change causes this

  13. As the title says Nengun offer some pretty competitive prices in some categories Just wondering if its too good to be true! Anyone used them in the past, if so how was the service etc. Any feeback is appreciated http://www.nengun.com/
  14. M35 or C34 I'll assume its C34 by your pic Import Monster man - you'll get it for sure might pay a little more but its a sure thing e.g. http://www.tinyurl.com.au/i17
  15. My mate has the M80 on his S14 Wont work unless you are within ~1 metre of the car You have to push the remote real hard for it to register open/close He doesnt have turbo timer connected - he said something about the harness being weak or along those line... Hope that helps
  16. yep (1) ask for export paper or auction sheet "ステージア" is exactly right - if they dont want to give it to you its been tampered with; also unlike Aus Japan requires KM's to be noted at re-registration intervals (2) not that im aware especially with the C34's - heaps of spare parts (Same engine as R34 skyline..) (4) unless you by rego'd & on road you'll need a) compliance & plate b) RWC c) Vicroads inspection
  17. This is best described using the images below Found it on Import Monster, didnt bid as I had one ordered from AAIP in QLD, then when it arrived it was the wrong colour, and the auction on IM had closed! Its the storage compartment lid that is in place of the Navigation controls / TV in models without Navi The third pic shows why mine needs to be replaced (drill holes!) from the makeshift Navi i pulled out Like my Paint handiwork??
  18. Zei20l - Yeah thats what Ive been doing, using the fog lights or whatever they are on the light stem closest to the steering wheel. If they are fogs shouldnt they be that vibrant yellow colour? Either way they will get me through until I swap em over Angus Smart - As for the plug end that goes into the main globe my driver side light was working until my major service, which saw Coolant go all over the front inside area of engine which my mech washed away with water that went all over the front of the engine Im going to replace the globe (i.e. perishable) and if that fails, the onus is on them to fix it... Just an observation - you would think that Nissan would make it easier to replace a such common item?? I never had to post to swap the headlight on my r32!
  19. Looks like it will be fun Will be worth it though - have one blown headligh and replacing factory with 6000k
  20. Whats the best way to get to the cap seal at the rear of each (right and left) to change the xenon globes As far as I can see there are 3 alternatives; 1) Remove the airbox (right) and the washer bottle (left) to allow enough room to get right in there 2) Remove each inner guard to allow room to go from underneath 3) Remove the entire headlight, insert globes and replace headlight All seem pretty time consuming - just want to know whos done it and what the easiest, least time consuming way to go bout it... Cheers
  21. Otherwise these have no problems http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=h...g&title=M35 4 X82 L
  22. here mate they're at $6 http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=h...e=M35%20131AE20 they have some stuff on the arm rails / handles but you can just take what you need for the price..
  23. Mine blew tonight as well.. Can water affect the bubs? I would assume they would be covered from any water in or around the engine? What do I even need? (M35) Is it just a matter of replacing the bulb? Sorry to hijack the thread - its kinda relevant!
