I have thinking this myself... i dont think ppl would realise the damage bill they could cause if they have a minor accident with these cars, especially if there not insured.. Thats why im happy NRMA insured me with the window option, for instance they dont know what there in for if i break the rear window!!! Im sure your bill will be less then a write off, however we just lost our 2004 maxima insured for $17K with similar damage except scratch went down one whole side of the car aswell. But i cant complain coz it paid for my stag

Did the rocker cover seal today in the M35.. what a bloody mission.. a lot of F's and C's were mentioned, and while in the middle of the job realised the rear spark plug cylinder was full of oil, had to manufacture a seal for that so hope it is good enough to last a while... Now just have to find some stiffer springs and wait for next weekend, to change them and do diff and trans fluids... slowly but surely getting the car to be the way i like it.... -
Hey guys sorry to dig up old thread... But i have a question, i am running the bilstien shocks and springs on my 250tRS four NM35 and for me its way too low Im scraping over too many speed humps and the Kakimoto exhuast is taking a beating .. for me the spring rate seems way to soft. I was wondering what springs from other cars fit so i can look into getting some harder springs.. I am gonna try to raise it only a little because i will be getting the 19" rims soon too which should raise it a little more aswell.

Got my new rotors and pads on the M35 today.. much better no more warped discs! I went with just the standard size. DBA 4000 XS on the front with QFM A1RM pads, and RDA slotted on the back with QFM HPX pads. (couldnt believe how small the rear pads are!!!! seems good so far much better pedal feel have to see how they run through the twisty's before i can give a good review. but that will have to wait till there worn in a bit. heres the pics front back -
Guys as topic states i am after a left and right speaker covers for the front doors of my M35 stagea. Mine has this dodgy carbon fibre look a like stuff, that sticks on. It has been done as a build out but i would much prefer to mount the speaker into the door and retain standard look. I know its a long shot but thanks.

How To Program A Nissan Remote/key For Your Stagea
matty_M35 replied to Spong's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
di this the otherday as mine only came with one key... i asked the dealer for another spare off a different car and he pulls out a box of them and gives me one.. its useless to you he says, i just said maybe maybe not!!! It programed fine after getting a new battery, best bit about it was my mate whis a locksmith looked at the key and because all the ridges were higher then my original he able to just cut it down a little and it worked, now i have 2 factory keys, so if anyone does have a choice when grabbing a spare look to see if its the same key shape and if the ridges are all higher it shoud be able to be cut again to yours.... P.S dont let dealers in on this coz they will wont to start selling keys at a much higher price.. -
Thanks heaps!!!

Just want to know the rotor sizes if possible so i can order tomorrow arvo without having to pull the wheels off. I know the fronts are the same as the 350z touring, j31 maxima, V35/G35 -there are fronts off a 350z touring that are 296x24mm -then there are 350z(performance,touring&enthusiast) and maxima fronts 320x28mm but the rears are doing my head in i am getting different variations between all models of the maxima, G35/V35, X trail, 350z, some of the sizes im seeing are -308x16 350z (performance, touring&enthusiast) -292x16 some of the V35/G35 varients and years and 350z (touring) if someone could shed some light i would be very thankful. matt

last year at perisher i used to finish at 12am many times i found my fourby with snow halfway up the tires.. one night i had the corolla and it was up the the bottom of the bumper, had to dig around it to fit the chains then go back and forth about 20 times before finally getting momentum to get out then it was about a 10 minute drive out of the carpark working the wheel left and right to get traction. basically i was dragging the whole underside through the snow aswell. it was heaven to reach the road where it is ploughed.... i would much prefer to drive the fourby in the snow when it was bout 10cm deep as opposed to a light cover. when its a light cover there is so much ice way more unpredictable. in the deep stuff you can drive quite reasonably brake ok and turn good.

does anybody have the DBA code for standard rear M35 brakes?? the maxima and xtrail dont show rears on the dba website.. thanks

4wd/Awd dont have to carry them.. they were talking bout the law coming in. since many awd do struggle when its deep. This is the first season i havn't worked there for 5 years sucks coz i have the stagea now. If the snow does get bad they can tell any car to put chains on, but most times they would close the road before that happens. My old GQ patrol that had 37" mudders used to struggle at times. Having a snow button doesnt always mean Awd, my parents old vectra used to have it, it just lowered the rpm the gear would change and or hold in lower gear to keep the revs low. I hit the snow the other weekend in the stag, pity there was no snow on the road to test the torque guage!!!! hope to be going down at the end of aug aswell.

I talked my wife into getting ours when we got rid of her maxima.... "dont worry honey its a luxury wagon it will be great when we have kids.. and so on..." now we have it she is like "why the hell did i let talk me into this car, it was for you wasnt it??" im just trying to break it to her nicely about getting some 19's put on it

S2 Front Torque Gauge Not Working
matty_M35 replied to Bronx's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I just bought an m35 and mine does seem to be faulty aswell. I works when I punched it up a steep hill in the wet the other night. But unlike other cars I test drove I they would go up a little with some foot planting. Mine just sits on zero all the time.. Is this normal?? I will check the connections and get back to u guys as my boost guage isn't working all the time either.. -
