LOL yer that all i wanted to know. i went took them off. ( of course they didnt fit NOT that i was expecting them to) so we re welded the stock rails to fit the seat and what not. put the seat in the car and it was fkn too high. so we took the rails off. made up a bracket for the seat its self to be FIXD onto the floor. with bolt in and out variable seat ajustments so no longer on rails but fixed to floor. to ajust seat there are pin bolts you can pull out and slide seat when u need to. Love having a greek family with a handy grandpa.! Looks better then any on rails cause looks D-spec, cops will pick on it but i kept stock seats incase i get handed the yellow sticker in future?

im looking at used spit fires or brand new yellow jackets. um i donno it idles funny, then when boost kicks in it cuts out after 4500prms, then run like ass untill 6000rom and then boost kicks back in again?.... i donno i havent even taken the car in to get checked up it so ill figure it out. its got stock cooler piping but i guess i shall check all hose clamps after i get my coils. All vaccume lines and press lines including BOV seem to b in good condition and all conected properly. It just feels like the engien is not fireing properly. or not breathing properly. think ill get coils done then timeing re done and go from there, im prety sure it should solve the problem.

nuh my seats are bottom mount. I just need to know if the factory rails come off the factory seats? id rather not buy rails?...

simply sounds like u should of have the car inspected with a machanics report, as RWC s only to get the car under ur name and on the road. RWC just means its safe enough to be on the road with out causng and accedient. Machanics report is more so to tell u wat is wrong wth the car , oil leaks, loose seat belt reclners, dash lights, smoking exhast, diff problems everything over the whle car, they even check to make surethe air con works.

so n that case do u think it may be coil packs? ive been advised by a mate who had very simalar happen to him on both his gtst and his new gtr he said he just changed coild packs straight up and works a treat now.

Just quickly, I have two After market bucket race seats, Now i had them in my evo, they currently dont have rails on them so.... ARE the factory Skyline R33 Gtst seat rails removable so that i can bolt them to my bucket seats? CBF taking out the seat to find out besides im at work rather ask, If not ill have to buy rails, they arnt cheap... Thanx peeps'

OK - CAR IS STOCK - Only pod and exhaust put on, No coil packs nothing> Now my mate said all his skylines he brought has done the same thing, APPARENTLY spit fire coil packs are the answer. It has nothing to do with timing belt as the belt had just been replaced 4 days ago. and major engien service. No engien lights are coming on. When it hits second stage boost, the rpm tacho goes mental. ( showing mis fireing ) this i belive is due to SHIT COIL PACKS ( standerd) I am buying spit fire ones to solve the whole problem. Hope it works.

thanx for ur help, It has had major service including timing belt done too. Im going to put back the stock air filter on see if the problem goes away. could be the AFM not readng properly since i installed pod filter. allthought my machanic says shouldnt make a difference. Thank god i have a japaneese machanic who loves jap cars he has gorn through so much effort to research the problem with out even seeing the car in person yet. I shall take it in tomorro and he is going to check the ecu to see if any sensor errors have come up and work it out from there. but ur right could be anything.. fkn cars.....

oh i sold the evo 9 for an Audi tt quatro turbo 2000 modle all wheel drive. WAY better then the evo 9 and had class and was convertable. Then sold that to PAY OUT THE LOAN" so that i am no longer in debt ( hate debt) so brought a skyline With saved cold hard cash. But yes - few steps back now but no debts attached.

my car is doing the exact same thing now and its anoying the hell out of me, rpm gauge gong spastic, Engine idles under 1k almost stalls then revs up to about 2 or 3k Boost comes on till abotu 4500k then drops out and flat lines untill 6000k then kicks back in. Is it some sort of sensor?

my car is stock. its only got Pod Filter. And 3inch exhaust all the way through. Hasnt been boosted. Nothing. Just had a new timeing belt put on. 3 days ago. ive owned the car for 4 days. Imported from japan. first australian owner. Other ways its compleetly stock. so not sure where the problem is comng from. " I just really dont want to change heaps of parts to find out its somethign small" Cause it could be anything really. Plugs Ignition Turbo AFM Exhaust Pod Coils ANY engien sensors Actuator Anything. thats why the above post i found from another forum seems to fit the problem and solution. But i posted it on here for other oppinions? But yeh " birds" the cars bascly stock? Whats ur oppinion ? >>>. cheers mate.

i used ot have an evo, by the sounds of it best bet to replace the assembly. May be costly cause wont be easy to find so might have to buy it new imported. but u wont have the same ssue again provided the right nuts are used.
