  4. Hi Guys Desperately chasing an R32 GTS-T/GTS4 clutch pedal assembly in newcastle. Current bracket is beyond repair and the car is taking up space at the mechanics until I can find one. tried the toy shop and just jap no luck so far Dave 0432 579 907
  5. I used the superpro subframe collars in my 26 powered gts4, I cut the top rings so I only had to drop the subframe an inch or so to get them in, was very easy to do and only took about 30 mins. It made a huge improvement and a year on they havent budged. Dave
  6. Cheers for the comments guys Engine bay was nothing fancy. I took everything out, pressure washed to remove all the muck then degreased/washed a few times. Gave it a good sand with flexible sanding pads, washed then grease/wax remover, etch primed any bare metal. Paint is epoxy enamel out of a spraycan. Its a bit ghetto but it gives a good finish for an engine bay and is bloody tough. used two cans. This is a hr31 I did with the same type of paint a couple of years back.
  7. Not the 32 owner in question but I had my 31 coupe painted by George about 2 years ago, and would recommend him. He was easy to deal with and its very obvious that he takes a lot of pride in his work, I was very happy with the job for what I paid. I have a few pics here if they help, ignore the mud caked ones obviously http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v484/dav...TS-R%20buildup/ Dave
  8. Nope, just car wash and warm water, Found the factory akebono pads that came with the calipers, digging a screw driver over the surface leaves a light silver scratch, doing the same thing on whats left of the worn pads gouges the surface, they seem quite soft and crumbly
  9. Hi guys I have an r32 gts4 sedan that I put an rb26 into, did the brakes at the same time, gtr calipers front and back, new rda slotted rotors and qfm a1rm pads, new braided lines & fluid etc, brake master had a seal kit put through it. Had no dramas bedding the pads, and the car has been fine for the last three months of daily driving pulling up nicely. Had a metal on metal scraping noise start on the way home yesterday, checked the pads and the outer is down to the backing plate, inner has about 2mm on it . All other three corners look fine with the amount of meat you'd expect for 3500km's of driving, ie plenty. I popped the pads out, the caliper has no leaks, and the pistons move in and out freely with hand pressure so I don't believe the caliper is seized, put in some old bendix pads I had to get me out of trouble. Not being a brake expert, any ideas on what could have caused this?, I would have thought a seized caliper but that doesn't appear to be the case. Dave
  10. was probably my 32, was poking around in frontline for a while
  11. Thanks for the comments Regarding the suspension I removed the original shocks and springs, put in the nismo s-tune stuff that you can see in the photos, which is about 30mm lower. Purchased a set of selbys swaybars recently, fitted the front last week, need to do the rear when I get time. Put a hicas lock bar in the rear with new rack ends, thats about it, the rest is standard.
  12. Bought a cheap stocko gts4 sedan in april last year, it had a slipping clutch and a few other issues. was originally going to be a stockish daily driver as I have an R31 coupe that's a bit harsh and peaky for a daily. Fitted some 32 gtr v-spec bbs wheels I had bought for another project and never used, tidied up the interior a bit. drove it for a couple of months until I discovered a leaking brake master, and 1/3rd of the exhaust manifold studs had snapped so decided to take it off the road for a while for a tidy up. typically it snowballed and ended up taking much more time and money than originally planned. I decided I'd played enough with rb20s and didn't really want to buy a house just yet.......so I picked up an r32 rb26 and it went from there How it looked last year and today....where did all that money go?? Rb20 being pulled apart to be removed Engine out, bit of a mess New engine Being 20 years old, it needed a bit of a spruce up, fitted new gaskets and coolant hoses to the intake side, exhaust side got new studs, gaskets, water pipes etc. Didn't want to use 20 year old ceramic turbos so saved up some more coin and picked up a pair of garrett 2860-7's along with a trust combined dump/front pipe. Engine bay got some tlc And then it slowly started to go back together gtr calipers fitted with new rda rotors and qfm a1rm pads And now today its drivable again. still a few things to do here and there. For anyone looking at putting a 26 into a gts4, its a very easy conversion, just an awful lot of work. It would have been easier to pick up a gtr, but it probably would have recieved a similiar amount of work, and it was easier to start with a 4k car than something of similiar age and condition for 15+. The wiring is all plug and play, except for the ignitor pack, which just needs to be wired into the black 8 pin plug on the pass side strut tower. The cooler holes are center punched ready to drill. I swapped the sump from the rb20 onto the 26 to keep the gts4 diff ratio. The fiddliest bit was trimming the front bar to fit around the intercooler. long term I plan to put a gtr bonnet, grill and front bar on, and I have a rear wing in the shed to go on. Would love to eventually have it repainted in the r32 silver.
  13. All the R34 sedans were out today, spotted a black one with exhaust & coilovers, silver one with urasy kit, cf bonnet and sau stickers, and another silver stocker
