White GTT, thanks you for the help with that, ill check it out and see what i can do for a retune etc, then have it tested, hope it passes, it sounds pretty technical and hard to get things of quality passed. Never having been through this, its a horrible time im having. You know i was booked twice within Ten minutes of each offense for the same offense.... Over taking (twice) incorrectly, not coming back onto my side of the road before the broken lines ran out..... not that i just didnt pull back in, i did but like a few feet longer than i should have. They didnt even stop me but rather let that continue to rack up the doe! When i was again stopped on Monday, the cop said "quote, "you have two choices, sell your car or get used to being pulled over" ...I had this flash come to mind at that point and while he was asking for 'papers' of being dragged off to concentration camp...

Hi all, Not sure where to start this, I have some drama with the Cops Vs car... I have a lightly modded R34 gtt Skyline. Its the first performance car ive owned. Im a mature driver. My car is not heavily modded, lowered , spoilers, wings etc etc...nothing like that. It looks pretty stock standard apart from the 4 inch exhaust prodtruding from the rear and a front mount intercooler. It has a BOV (very small and hard to actually hear unless at high revs) It also has a KnN red pod filter. Stock/No boost. I have been booked 3 times in 2 weeks, And forced to go to some government compliance agency for emissions (Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water. ) ALLLLL this and ive only owned the car for 5 weeks, cant imagine where ill be in Ten Weeks...... I have been pulled over twice while already stopped... ( stopped at red traffic light when i was stopped by Police and while parked the Police followed me to the shops and then asked me to go back to my car with them so they can check it) Its all pretty stupid, some little girl out west if missing (presumed dead) and the cops have little to do other than follow me to the shops. Anyhows...... Im told that the BOV is illegal and it must be removed, im told the intercooler will not pass an emissions test (still to be conducted at Botany RTA) and the Pod filter Must be enclosed in a box or the original put back on. If i do not do this i will join the Ten Most Wanted Criminals in the world and reffered to interpol. I am wondering if someone can help me, offer any advice on any of these issues. Is there a place who can build a custom perspects box for my pod filter??. Is there a way to buy or mod the BOV so it can switch somehow to the pipe it needs to be connected to for emissions control and then back to normal ???....... (not sure what i mean as im a novice) And does anyone know anything about Front Mount Intercoolers emissions testing, why would an Intercooler be Illegal according to the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water. Some great replies. But more than having a whinge its an overall statement with regard to how things really do need to be questioned. Why should i or anyone else have to like it?... and just pay more money not knowing why or being able to justify it. To lay down and cop it sweet allows bureaucrats to find more ways to screw us. Its not about how much money one makes Vs time on the phone, ...... Im sure there are other people (minority perhaps) that don't like to bend ova and take it because thats the way it is. On principal ill fight back! So should we all.

Australians really need to take back Australia! get the bureaucrats out of the lives of citizens, leaving the government charged with running our economy not our lives and choices. Speed cameras, payg taxes, road taxes, stamp duties, fees, the list is long, endless, all sucking the guts out of hard working people. Im tried of government making all decisions for me, telling me what i can and cannot do, being forced at "law" to pay them top dollars each time i breath for my right to live...... Now the wonderful labor party will be applying internet filters to the national broadband scheme (if they get in) and the liberals etc are no better. Personally i don't need an internet filter, im not a child, i can decide what i want to look at on the internet, i do not need censorship and if i had children i would make sure i have a filter for them in place. I bought a car 6 years ago at a government car Auction, i purchased the car for about 4 thousand under market value. I then went to the RTA to transfer the car into my name. I had all the purchase receipts etc from the government seller as proof as to the cost of my car. When i applied to transfer the car into my name the RTA said that it was too cheap and they needed to charge me at what they call 'fair market value' for the transfer. Despite my proof of purchase they charged me PLENTY more dollars to transfer it and i had no choice but to pay it. This time i want to buy a Skyline R34 Gtt soooooo doing due diligence in advance im calling the RTA and asking what is fair market value on such a car. 45 minutes ( im typing this out while on hold) of going back and forth on the phone with the consultant they do not know..... What they do know is that on the day i go to the RTA to transfer the car into my name they will have a fair market value charge but they do not know what that will be until i buy the car, fill out the paper work for the transfer and submit it. They clearly call it make it up as they go along ( to their advantage) and if you don't pay then you cant transfer ownership or register the car. I cant accept that the RTA can charge whatever they feel fair market value is on the day, but ask them in advance and they do not know..... I so know this is going to be another government scam!

Heya, Just thinking about your car. Looks great and sounds like its in great condition. I am not going to tyre kick or knock your price. Im sure it is well worth every cent you are asking. i would hate to have tried to afford this car a few years back. I have only 14,000 in cash, thats all the money i have sadly...
