I touched one of mine up fairly badly a few years ago. Dropped it into Moorooka Nissan and they got it fixed for me for about $240. Can't tell the difference. Try your Nissan dealer. As for Shipstones pfft. I slipped while polishing the car one evening and put a tiny dent in the bonnet they wanted to remove, repair and respray ($2200). Found a good dent remover and he had it out in less than an hour for $150.

+1 for Gavin Woods. He does all the work on my R32 and he's been excellent over the years. I haven't done anything with the R35 yet so I haven't had it down there.

Very sad. That's a significant impact. Take care all.

Yes there is also a Mega Factories on the LFA. Once again a rehash of old discovery channel footage.
-
A lot of the footage and facts were taken from the Discovery GTR Story. Not sure if Nissan still do it but after I received my car about a week later I got sent a book on the GTR and the Discovery GTR Story on DVD. I was a little surprised. Did anyone else ask for the build documentation and stickers when they received their car. Moorooka Nissan put it in a nice little book for me.

That's friggen awesome!!! Sounds great!!!

On there web site there is a link to their online shop which then takes you to a manufactures page. Select Nissan then follow the bouncing ball. The only map I could find listed was Europe. I'd suggest sending them an email and asking how you can buy the Australian map.

I also have this as well but have not noticed the light flashing. Nissan told me they had looked at it and there was nothing out of the usual. Do you get it in both auto and manual modes?

Who mentioned Porsche.. I did!! A GT3RS.. If you had any idea about cars you'd wet your pants if you got to see one in real life. Engineering perfection at it's best. The GTR is a Supercar and it does get a lot of attention. Ohh I drove one once and it did nothing for my sex life. Perhaps because you're a tool. Look at the thread.. Joker!!!

Do you own an R35? I can't drive anywhere without attracting attention. On a short trip from the Gold Coast to Brisbane on the M1 I'll get at least 5 photo's taken of the car. A few months ago I parked it in Brisbane Cafe suburb behind a GT3RS only to return to find a group of six people standing around my car having a look at it. I pointed out the GT3 to them and the response was "Yeah the Porsche, you see heaps of them." The R35 is still unique. Tip: If you want to me anonymous then don't buy an R35.

WOW. That sounds awesome. Great job guys. Can't wait to see this on the track.

This is going to be an insane build Mark. Those heads look so much "smoother" after the work. Can't wait to see this beast in action.
-
When I put mine in for a 5K service they said there was no point until the next service. It's really expensive stuff too at around $1200.
-
No Way... That is now insane!! Ehh makes me feel bad on the inside :-( Wow Mark that is a big commitment. Can't you just approach Nissan and buy a GT1 car.. Must be cheaper..?

Ended up costing $110. Took him about 30 minutes but was well worth it. I think that Shipstones wanted to remove it etc because it was on the drivers side crease line in the bonnet. When he was doing it he commented that alloy is a lot harder to work with as it doesn't want to "spring" back like steel does. Also being on the crease line he started there first then worked around it. Good to watch.

I had the dent in the bonnet removed this morning by Mark from Un-Dint It and he did a great job. Took about 30 minutes to "massage" it out. You wouldn't even know it was there now. Top job!! Would highly recommend them to anyone that has a minor dent. Sorry I didn't take any before or after photos but I couldn't get an angle where the dent was visible in a photo.

Suncorp $1320 with $750 excess.

Shipstones has been recommended by Nissan and most of the car guys I know in Brisbane. They do charge a premium but I've been told their work is good. I put a small dent in the bonnet of mine while waxing it. The wax gave way while I was polishing it and my elbow came in contact with the bonnet. I cried a little on the inside at the time. I took it out to Shipstones and they wanted to remove the bonnet, light assembly, and respray the whole front. I don't care how good someone is with paint they can never get the finish back to original form. While I was down at Gavin Woods Autotech having some work done on my R32 he recommended I look at paintless dent removal. I spoke to a few guys here in Brisbane who have recommended some people. They are coming out to do it next week and I'll keep you informed how it goes.

This is the second one I've missed. I missed the last one as I'd dislocated my knee about 2 weeks earlier and was waiting for the reco. This time I've got my girlfriend over from Brazil and we'll be in Cairns.. Just unlucky I guess...

Chris, Mine is still available if you need it. I've spoken to you about options of "hacking" the VDC when I first got it over a year ago. Cheers, Stuart

Glad that you are enjoying it. Mine was in the first Australian delivery so I've had it for a while now. The secret compartment on the passanger side is actually where the tow hook lives if you ever need it. Hopefully you won't. Even after driving it for over a year I'm still amazed at just how quick it is. You need to be mindful of this at all times. I was on my way to the Sunshine Coast on the weekend and was stuck behind one of those tossers that can't maintain a constant speed. Found a gap on the left, ducked in to it, got past and planted the throttle. Within moments you're doing 200KM/H. It's just a matter of time before I do something like this and there is a cop around. Highway driving is boring as hell because it's so capable. Take it out into the twisty stuff in R mode. It scares me with it's ability to defy physics. A car that weighs this much should not be able to do the things it does. Because I was one of the first buyers that had to lay down cash the October before it arrived I was sent the whole disclaimer about noise etc. At first the clunking of the gearbox is a bit disterbing but you get used to it very quickly and now it doesn't even register with me. People that get in the car hear it and ask if it's normal.. Is what normal? You get used to the attention it attracts after a while. Now I just smile and pay attention to what I'm doing. The dude giving me the double thumbs up while turning a corner did scare me a little. If you leave it parked on a street in a busy area expect to have a small growd gathered when you return. This is normal. Wait until you have dragged off a 997 Turbo at the lights and at the next set of lights the owner says "Damn I knew I should have got one of those." Wait until you're at the track and start chasing the porkers down much to their amazement. Enjoy the legend that is GTR!

You shouldn't be able to engage R mode until you have performed your first service.

Chris, If you don't have any luck my 09 ADM GTR will be available for the first week of September until the 5th. I'm keen to try it out as well as USB or audio in (USB to RCA) options as I'm sick of using MP3's on CD's. PM me if you're interested. Cheers, Stuart

It could have been a dealers or press car. They bought a handful in about 2 months before for press days and dealer demos.
