Hey, just wondering if anyone has some brilliant idea of how to get a jack under a low car with a bodykit (prefferably without takin the kit off) been shopping around various super cheap auto shops and all the jacks are physically to high to get under there? HELP!? its getting very annoying Cheers lads

Hey, im having a similar problem, it feels like shes not as punchy as she was when i baught her about 4 weeks ago. im thinking it could be a piping leak or some sort of leak, its a stock s1 R33 gtst everything running stock atm (7 p.s.i). i am getting a few misfires but not under power, only when i release the throttle (i suspect that could be a F'd O2 sensor because im getting terrible fuel efficiency as well) my boost gauge reads like it did when i baught it but it just feels sluggish when the gauge is telling me its at full boost. what should i check first? cheers guys
  4. should i have the engine running while listening for master cylinder noies? or will the hydrolic system work without running the car? say i do find a worm camera, would going through the grommet to the pivot pin get me a good look at the clutch/ bell housing? hard to tell if its partially goin in or compleatly locked out, could be a combination of both, only happens sometimes (more increasingly atrm) and from what i can tell locks out if the gear isnt spinning ( from stopped N to 1st,) if i change down from 2nd to 1st while rolling it goes in alright? wouldnt adjusting my clutch point right up high elimenate the possibility of it being a worn clutch? its got alot of play before it hits the contact point on release, so the clutch is wide open when im trying to shift yeh? ill search for birds now and see if he can help me, cheers guys
  5. well i run through that list, pivot pin oil master/slave cylinder (btw anyone know any way i can test these without swapping for new ones?) then ill drop the box and start from there with the clutch just need to find a house with a garage
  6. im certain its a HD clutch, i think the guy i bought it off gave me the proof of perchas/installation slip thing for the clutch, will have a look for it tomorow
  7. ah right, yeh no slipping mate, once shes in gear shes solid just the locking out issue. thanks for the advice on the fluids, i will be changing them as soon as i get somewhere to do it ( my current appartment block isnt suitable) hopefully move into another house with garage soon. dunno if this helps problem solve but she also doesnt like goin from N -> R most times, i know most boxes are stiffer getting it into reverse though so im fairly confident better fluid will solve that issue... also after reading about ur master cylinder sarge, noticed as i was driving home from work last night, (i could be going crazy) but it feelt like the contact point is varying between nice and low to right up high every now and then, (noticed this between an easy start at one lights then got locked out at the next, when i got her in n released the clutch she grabbed alot quicker?) could have something to do with locking out first as its not dissengaging properly when the contact point dropps down low. pouring through the gearstick seems alot easier then into the actuall box so ill try that way (yeh shes an R33 GTST)
  8. sargeRX8, not grinding just locked out, sometimes a little grind in low rev shift 1st ->2nd ? hoping thats also an oil issue galois, ahh whats flaring? What fluid should i refil with and where can i pick up some of that nulon aditive?
  9. if anyones still reading this thred, im having a similar problem, didnt seem to be present on my test drive, went back the next week to pick the car up and it doesnt let me go from N to 1st most changes (a real bitch at the lights with the HD clutch) previos owner said it only just started happening before i picked it up, so im thinkin it could be a few things. 1: he thrashed the shit outa it before finally selling it to me and so synchro dammage? 2: clutch not disengaging fully (haven't had time to addjust clutch point on gearbox but pulled the little rubber stopper off the clutch pedel giving about 1cm more pull on the clutch and moved the contact point right up the clutch position comparison to where it was....still having the problem...? 0.o) 3: piviot pin mentioned on page one of this thred, will check that out when i get time to get under the car 4: old/low gearbox oil or inconsistant clutch fluid(bubbles) anyone have any other suggestions? hoping its not option 1 as dont have the $$ for a rebuild cheers guys

  13. yeh my alarm is F*** loud but only activates on entry to the car, in the process of finding a new place with a garage so hopefully my chain will hold them off untill i get a garage... its working so far! kinda sad looking at my baby with a big chain and padlock wrapped around her every night though hopefully not for much longer
  14. is has come to that time when i need to find a good insurance company for my new r33 gtst. i have only looked at just-car insurance and they want over 2.5k for a year. just wondering if anyone has a good deal that i should look into? Cheers guys
  15. I don't know but it seems unlikely, he's a fairly genuin guy and loved the car to bits. Was also shocked to hear about it, the chain seemed to work last night but pain in the arse to get in in the morning hahah looks quite funny with a chain around it
  16. Its parked right next to the apartment block and the shelter has a normal light right above our car space so I dunno if itd deter them, had an idea for a security camera looking on it though.. Alot of work running cables ect. :s

Yeh had the idea kinda like the siklaflex one, maybe drilling the heads of the screws so they are bured out to not work then slapping some bog over them to kinda hide the position, n if I do need to take it off one day just crack the bog away and drill out the screws? I like the idea of one way screws however... It was in yokine ahh33, I'm surprised at how quick they were to pick up on it bein there as it was the first night of having it

Well they didn't jack it up so what in thinkin is puttin hex screws in, getting two perfect lengths of chain and padlocking then around the whole car just near the wheels and then putting a cover over it? Yeh it's gunna be hell tedious getting in to my car every morning and lockin up with protecting the paintwork from the chain but hopefully they won't be able to get the skirts.. At least until I find a new place with a proper garage
  19. Hey guys, wondering if anyone has got a way of securing external mods (body kits ect.) against theft. I picked up my r33 last night And sadly the only parking I have is open set. Anyway got woken up at 4am by someone from my apartment block saying he scared off 4 guys in black hoodies around the wheels of my new car!! Upon inspection sure enough the pricks undid about 3 screws from my gtr sideskirt and broke the sealant away from the body! Not a good first night of skyline ownership for me. My point being, does anyone have any method of making their bodykit for lack of a better word un-removable?? Urgent help!! I am keeping it locked up at work tonight but I need a quickfix! Cheers guys
  20. thanks for ur help guys, iv cancelled the deal and am about to settle a 93 R33 GTS-T thats in much better condition with only 94000 on the clock so excited! haha cheers lads

  22. hey, im just about to buy my first R33, took it for a test drive yesterday and everything is running fine, only one issue... 3rd gear pops out when you are slowing down (no power on it) and it drops below about 2 grand, just wondering how much time and effort / dollars this will take to fix? at the moment iv offered him 11,000 for it but will probly drop this according to the above problem. thanks for any help
