New water pump from Nissan
Paid out the ass, but wanted genuine.
Decided to take the head off to check the head gasket and replace it. Also it would make getting the manifold studs out a lot easier.
Head gasket was in good condition, and the head seems to look alright also. Cut my hand open getting the head studs off.. slipped and gashed my hand on the firewall.. -.-
The head is now off, and i plan to put the new intake and exhaust studs in, assemble the plenum, fuel rail, etc onto head before re-installing it onto the block with a set off new head bolts (as they are TTY so I'm told).
Bought a few more things.. VHT paint for the throttle body, plenum, rocker cover, ryco fuel and oil filters, new extractors-to-cat gasket, intake studs etc..
Also have retaped the motor loom so it's all freshened up.
VHT wrinkle paint.
Starting to slowly wrinkle..
Now to go over it with a couple of coats of VHT engine enamel (blue).
Finished product. Turned out quite decent for my first time using wrinkle paint.
Started cleaning and prepping the plenum
Before:
After (still wet):
Actually wrinkled very well, will have more pics in the near future.

Yes, it seems to be very common with 31s.

Removed the a/c core from its box and will put the interior a/c ducts back together once welding has finished.
Am also considering running dual fans in front of the radiator seeing as there is no condenser in the way, and hence more room.
