  1. Wow thats strange, My series II turbo says 45V3 of a 96 engine definitely nylon compressor wheel http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...achmentid=29358 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...achmentid=29357
  2. I noticed when they put the wolf in my car that my tuner turned the CAS (round thingy in front of the exhaust cam) fully anti-clockwise and tuned it from there. So check your CAS too since that determines the base timing for the standard ECU.
  3. cheers guys I'll talk to turbotech, ATS, and per4mance but since its easter they wont open till tuesday, any idea how much it would cost to buy the bearing cartridge? and fitting and balancing?
  4. Thanks SK I'll do that soon, Is there like a model number for the garrett core Im looking for? or are they the same for most of its turbo range?
  5. Due to some misfortune in the form of my turbo oil lines bursting in flames and oil leaking out causing oil starvation, my Turbo bearings are dead. Well atleast Im pretty sure they're dead, the car is not making power on the dyno and there's this high pitch screetching noise from the turbo at idle. The turbo in question is a HKS 2535 so Im considering my options at the moment, Is it worthed to buy a new bearing cartridge? how much are they and where can I get them from? Or should I just throw this turbo in the bin and go source another one?
  6. Hey you still have a 040 for sale? I might be interested in a day or two. How much is shipping to WA? this can be mounted internally? so the connections are sealed?
  7. I have a bosch 910 installed externally It starts fine I dont wait for the pump to click off before I start, is this bad? It makes a slight buzzing noise in the cabin barely noticable if you have the parcel shelf and rear seats on. But lately at idle it seems to be buzzing louder than usual, Im not sure why either... hope its not dying
  8. yeah Ive seen what mod your car has was hoping to find a shop in perth where I can just walk in and buy the things I need
  9. I have fabricated a 80mm stainless piping to replace the rubber piece between the AFM and the turbo inlet snout but lack the fittings to actually put it on. So the obvious question is where would I buy silicone hoses to connect the 80mm pipe to the AFM and one to downsize the pipe from 80mm to 60mm (since the standard turbo snout is 60mm in diameter) would actually prefer black to keep the engine bay plain and simple... but never seen anyone use black silicone hoses/clamps While we're on the subject... where would I find rubber boots that are used to cover shock absorbers so that dust doesnt get in them?? and how much are they?
  10. So at certain gears it shifts before reaching the 7000 red line?
  11. What do you mean by that? it shifts earlier?
  12. Hey, I just got got GAB supershocks with adjustable damping in my car as far as I can tell the rears are adjustable to 8 points and the front 4 points my problem is with the front pair... the stickers on the suspension tops that indicate the settings seems to have fallen off. Do you guys have a pic of it? maybe I can work out from some markings what settings they're on? cheers
  13. Just a quick question is it better to have the Overdrive on/off when going down the drag strip or track? Or it doesnt make a difference? I dont exactly understand what the idea is with overdrive
  14. shouldnt this be in the WTB section? heheh oh well wat the heck http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=57786 mine up for sale
  15. Great value upgrade for RB20 definitely, a lot cheaper than R34 turbos, yet have similar (if not, same) design should get you 180-190rwKw depending on other mods
  16. I have bought a V-SPL kit from nengun and installed it myself on my auto R33 the transmission does not make a difference on the install and the trans cooler does not get in the way. Even with aftermarker transcooler, there's still plenty of room for it between the intercooler and radiator There's probably some concern for the R-SPL since it is thicker than the V-SPL, thats probably why nengun put that comment there
  17. Wow dude, think you might need more than a simple valvebody and trans cooler upgrade. I spoke to MV automatics and they claim their kit is good for only around 265rwKW which is about 355rwHp And as far as I can tell PFC dont work with autos, Ive been trying out wolf3d for awhile now but for some reason the shifts arent consistent... sometimes it would shift at the redline while other times it would shift way too early like 5000rpm ... but im confident I can sort that out soon
  18. I think some sort of ECU would be needed if you're going to go that far I was told by a few workshops that the autobox wont last pass 200rwKw, so before changing turbo I'd put in atleast a transcooler first What power rating does the GT35 have? and what does a 'fuel rail kit' contain? bigger injectors as well?

    R33 Turbo

Got a series II turbo ready to ship PM me an offer
  20. Got one for sale ready to ship have a thread and pictures in the for sale section somewhere PM me an offer and we'll work something out
  21. yes I have put in on power button and this problem was present partially before the wolf went in (stock ECU) at which time the car was running slightly retarded timing and was making shit all power and Im pretty sure the wolf has all the standard nissan ECU outputs (manual/auto) and therefore is still sending rev and speed readings to the auto computer but I'll have to check on that Will be bringing car back to workshop sometime near the end of the week to get injectors installed anyway
  22. Sent valvebody back to MV yesterday Ive used my shift kitted auto-box to the max yesterday from standing start to 6-7k rpm on 4th gear. It shifts nicely at full throttle even with wolf3d. My tyres are crap so it takes a bit of throttle control when shifting from 1st to 2nd to maintain traction. But ive seem to have a problem with the geearbox computer, often esspecially when its warm, it shifts gears too early. In one run I would go up to 5000rpm and it would shift, other times at 5500, 6000, 6500. Any ideas why the auto box wont shift at 7000 all the time?
  23. No I didnt try to mount the valvebody or trans cooler myself I dont think the lines that come with the trans cooler is long enough to have it mounted on the passenger side and besides my intercooler piping sorta blocks the airway from the front bumper slightly
