  5. I for one prefer a new valvebody I think there was a letter to SPEED a couple of issues back regarding this and the reply was a valvebody and transmission cooler is all the change you need for a tough box and expect to pay at most $800-$1000

  13. true that hahaha I meant I probably wont bother letting a mechanic take a look at it untill I take the car to get the wolf done. hopefully then they can figure out the problem and then put the wolf in. Would any workshop or mechanic have diagnostic tool? because I went to nissan awhile back and they said it wont be compatible with import cars But I was pretty sure this workshop that service my car has it and used it on my car before
  14. error codes... uhm... dont you need a diagnostics tool to find that out? Im just working with basics at the moment Not sure if I want to bother taking it to a mechanic because Im installing a wolf in a week or so
  15. i take the trigger from the wire leading to the no 1 coil, just before the coil plug There were no problems with this a few weeks ago since then I manage to pop an intercooler hoose and since fixing that, have not been able to adjust the timing correctly
  16. idle seems normal around 700Rpm when engine is warm CAS: Crank Angle Sensor
  17. the thing is I cant seem to get it unto the third white marker Ive reset the ECU and placed the CAS on the centre I check with timing light and the markers line up to the first orange line I set it fully anti clockwise and it only moved to the first white marker after a bit of driving I checked the timing again and it was back to the first orange marker... so... I have no clue why its doing this
  18. I seem to be having the same problem here, my car feels sluggish and slow proven by an embarassing 19sec pass down the 1/4 I checked the timing with a timing light and its on 0deg The timing marker is on the first orange line the thing is the CAS has allready been turned anti-clockwise to the max any ideas what could be causing it?
  19. Trust / Greddy - Which kit was purchased? Trust V-SPL intercooler kit, comes with detailed instructions and all necessary clamps and fittings 600*300*65 I think, or was it 75 easy enough to install yourself if you dont mind drilling a hole in the engine bay - Did you get the cooler with the return piping or the one that goes over the engine? The kit requires you to drill a hole on the driver side engine bay for the return pipe and the pipe goes over the radiator fan. - Did you have to cut the fan blades to fit the return pipe? You dont have to cut the fan blades but there is small section of a thermo fan bracket located in front of the radiator that needs to be trimmed off so that it does not rub againts the back of the intercooler as well as a small section of the bumper support but thats no biggy with some elbow grease a big hacksaw I was told the kit is the same for series 1 and 2 The instructions that came with it was for a series 1 My car is a series 2 and I had to trim the front bar quite a bit, but it fits nice and tight
  20. cant really say because the turbo is still on the car I'll have a closer look and get back to you
