  1. so for mild upgrades if I wanted to change only the exhaust cam shaft how does the 256 compare with the 264? does idle quality suffer?

  3. correct me if Im wrong but doesnt HKS make 256 exhaust Cams for RB25DET? and they state its for NVCS engine. and they dont say anything about 264 exhaust cams working with NVCS. I know the VVT is only in the inlet cam, so how does that make sense? would both 256 and 264 exhaust cams bolt on into the head without modification?

Hey guys does anyone know how a HKS step 1 (I think they're 256 whoops I meant 264) exhaust camshafts would go with the standard inlet Camshaft? being step1 I heard they're ok for on the street, but would they work with standard inlet cams? Also any ideas where I could get the stock exhaust Cams? Im having no luck here in WA

  9. Yea I used the stock gauge for awhile, I thought I set the boost to a bit below 700mmHg which should be around 13-14PSI when I installed my apexi gauge I found out I was running 1.2 BAR!!!
  10. well if I dont pump, it wont start That's not the main problem hehe now it doesnt start period! when I try to start the car it backfires regardless whether you pump the gas or not and still doesnt start

My car seems to be having some serious issues here Was driving to the drags one evening and it suddenly just stopped working (thank god it didnt happen on the drag strip) It refused to start even when my friend helped me to jump start it Towed it to the workshop and they told me they had spark but the injectors seems to be flooding the engine and the only thing they could think of is the ECU is ****ed. The workshop is going to be closed for the weekend so they said they'll test the ECU on monday Recently before the incident Ive been having problems starting the car sometimes I had to put some gas into it before it would crank over and also a few days before I had a bosch 910 installed without a FPR and exhaust cam gear set to 4Deg retard So any ideas? just incase it maters my car is a 1996 R33 Series II Auto Here's the list of mods I currently have S-AFCII Profec B boost controller Bosch 910 (no FPR) HKS Exhaust Cam gear Trust Cat-back SS high flow cat Front pipe Trust V-SPL intercooler Apexi Air Filter cheers
  12. thanks guys cam gears installed and working awesome stuff hit full boost by 1000 RPM ahhaha just a note there are actually 8 bolts on the cam cover hey when setting the base timing to 15 Deg is it on the 3rd white line after the first orange line? and what RPM should the timing be done at?
  13. Hey guys my cam gears are finally here and Im about to try and install them, probably this weekend been looking at the engine bay was wondering how do you take off the Cam gear covers off? how many bolts are there and roughly where are they located?
  14. So there is absolutely nothing wrong with mounting an external pump inside the tank? even though the voltage wires are not sealed at all? What if I mounted a 910 outside the tank with the stock pump as a lifter? and no surge tank?
  15. Just wondering, arent the 910s meant to be an external pump? The power (+/-) wires arent exactly perfectly sealed if by some act of misfortune a short happens wouldnt it blow the tank?
  16. How do the king springs feel on stock shocks? heard it feels rather bouncy cause then you'd be riding on springs is this true?
  17. hey has anyone dynoed their car before and after putting on a bigger dump pipe? how much difference in power are we looking at here? I allready have a 3" front pipe followed by a high flow and a 3" cat back was wondering if its worth the money to actually install a dump
  18. I read a guide that used a paint stripper and some kind of spray paint from a can any idea how that would look?
  19. I took a longer approach but hell it looked good in the end replaced the whole parcel shelf with a thick MDF panel took a whole day to get the right size and shape and carpetting was a bit of a bitch

  21. cheers guys hey suppose I wanted to mount the pump outside without a surge tank would it be ok to just run it inline with the standard pump and draw the current by splicing the power wires and running the 910 in parallel with the standard pump?

  23. yea mate more info pls how big (volume) is the CAT Is the HKS dump the split type? and bolts on to stock turbo? pics of the dump and muffler pls would you consider sending the exhaust to WA if I sent you a full stock exhaust?
