  1. Forgot to mention the blue coating causes the cam gears to glaze over hence the belt slipping.
  2. Easy... Guys interstate and overseas are making 700hp+ with OEM belts, Speak to "Ashley Hobson" at classic performance dyno tune works on RB's all day in and out and he's seen everything, Read it even here myself on SAU so it must be saying something. Been told from my sources as well its not just the one place I've heard it from and i can definitely see some logic behind that.
  3. Because the OEM belts aren't as prone to slippage as opposed to the OEM belt, They are good for 700hp + so unless your making huge power figures i would not worry.
  4. No worries Scott will do bars ETA from today is approximately 2-3 weeks longer..
  5. OEM timing belt is fine, The gates belts have the tendency with the blue plastic coloured coating to flake off after time which gets under the timing belt and causes belt slip. The OEM belt is good for 700hp + proven from my understanding, Gates belts are a bastard to get on and off. OEM water pump is also fine if your really concerned i purchased a N1 water pump for my RS four S which is currently in it now with new NSK bearings, I believe that is Nissan's OEM bearings. This is the kit you will be needing Jeremy.. http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/nissan-100000km-service-kit-water-pump-timing-belt-nissan-skyline-r34-25gtt-rb25det-neo-p-91.html
  6. I would be interested on the cruise the 25th suits me fine
  7. Hi scott, Thanks for your reply but fortunately i managed to source one on import monster in the same colour as my car which was fantastic. Genuine dayz front bar and all very pleased but not so happy on the ETA for it.. Best regards.
  8. No worries thanks. PM me your facebook if you have one so we can maybe discuss this further its easier to talk on there..
  9. No worries thanks for the information you have provided Michael. For arguments sake though why wouldn't you go HID high beams? And how did you go about your 4000k high beams were they a direct plug and play unit or did they have to be modified to fit, Where did you purchase them from if you don't mind me asking?
  10. Thinking of wiring up some xenon hid's to my highbeams, Any ideas how to go about this and in terms of capacity whats the strongest you can buy for a car?
  11. Thanks pal, So the headlight globes aren't sized in H sizes?
  12. Hi fellow Stagea owners, Just after the size of the Series 2 headlight and highbeam light globes (H1,H3 ect ect...?) Factory xenons seem to be have deteriorated in brightness and looking at a new more powerfull xenon replacement kit. Best regards Chris.
  13. It's only about a KG or two and wont cost me hardly anything to post.. Thanks but no thanks my final price drop is $70 local pickup or $75 posted AUS wide
  14. No thanks paid 250 for it and the install, was only on the stag for a week before it was chopped off. Looking for 70 local pickup. Waiting on a response from another member who was interested in it..
  15. Resonator is 50cm in length
  16. Ill measure it up tomorrow and drop you a PM But I'd say approximately 40-50cm just out of speculation and by looking at it. Best regards
  17. Need this item gone guys great deal its basicly brand new paid 250 for it including the install.
  18. So your diagnosis would be the timing is too advanced or retarded...? I kept thinking to myself it couldn't have been anything else besides the timing, I did insist several times throughout the change and persisted to my mate who said not to worry about it, Due to it being a "so called" waste of time.. The timing degrees isn't there for no reason Some people irritate me, Is there any possibility the valves have been bent? Car is running almost fine but the CAS isn't lining up to the previous marks before it was taken off and getting a slight rough patch between 1,200-1,800rpm Still not happy with it because the CAS should be in the previous position from my understanding.
  19. Hoping its not that... Would a skipped tooth result in a misfire the way i have described it or could it be the ignition timing which wasn't set correctly because we never marked where it was sitting prior to removing the CAS? A timing light wasn't used at all during the change to set it to 15 degrees @ 650rpm. Would the car still be running if it has skipped a tooth because it seems like its running fine now once we've taken timing out of it but i know its not good for the engine.
  20. Hey guys, Recently carried out the first major service in my series 2 manual stagea (25 neo) with a friend of mine. After starting the car up once everything was put back together we had noticed a misfire whilst revving the car and holding the revs then slowly backing off. The misfire would only occur whilst backing off the throttle and holding it in the one spot. Have temporarily fixed the issue by retarding the timing and adjusting the revs. The more it was advanced the more the misfire would occur and the more obvious it would become .. I seem to think it may be the cam pulleys that weren't lined up properly but my friend says the car would not start if they were out... Car was running fine with no misfire before the service was carried out and its really upsetting me thinking something major has gone wrong and I'm going to be spending unnecessary money to get it looked at and fixed. Any ideas and a solution to this problem, may it be the ignition timing/timing not set right or could it be the pulleys weren't lined up properly? Looking forward to your responses.
