The Grant/Grant Sizzler car from 1990/91/91 has been found alive and well in New Zealand. It has been bought and should be arriving back in Australia around the end of this month. The new owner is keen to have it racing at the Oran Park historics on June 1/2/3 where it will join Rod Markland, and Terry Ashwood's Gibson Motorsport HR31's. It was originally Marks Skaifes 1990 car (chassis #4) but went to Alf Grant racing for the 1990 Bathurst in Sizzler colours. It was raced on and off over the next 2 years including Bathurst 1991 were it finished 5th outright, with its final outing being Bathurst 1992 were it finished 12th outright. Another classic Nissan racer back from the grave. Hooks

Put this in your diary. Oran Park June 1/2/3. Historic racing. Rod Markland and Terry Ashwood will be racing their ex Gibson Motorsport HR31 Skylines in the Group A/C category. These cars are still in their original Nissan colours, just as they raced in 1988/89/90 The big news is that The Grant/Grant Sizzler car (GMS chassis #4) should be making a comeback. The car was found in New Zealand and is in excellent condition, in its original Sizzler colours. It should be arriving back in Australia around the end of this month, and the new owner is keen to have it at Oran Park. Should be huge, 3 HR31's howling around the circuit. A little news. Last year P.I was really big. 300 entrants. This year 500+entrants, HUUUUGE!!! Those of you who come out are in for old racecar heaven! Hooks

There were 5 Gibson GT-R's Gotta get the brain working.... #1was the car that went to Asia #2- Skaifey crashed it (he crashed a few Gibbo cars) #3- in the fox collection #4- GIO car #5- Terry Ashwood owns it Not 100 % about 1&2 could be the other way around. I did the history for Fox's car a couple of years ago, you can read it if you visit the museum. Hooks

Mr Strongman was saying he wanted to be at P.I. at Sandown last year. And he wanted to be racing not showing which was making Terry think very seriously about matching his equipment. Wouldn't that just be bloody awesome! Problem with the Winnie car is it is in perfect condition. A stone chip would make you cry, let alone panel damage.... Hooks

The Historics are coming back to Phillip Island March 9/10/11. At least 2 HR31's will be attending, Mark Skaife's #12 now owned by Rod Markland And Jim Richards' #2 car that won the 1990 ATCC, now owned by Terry Ashwood. The cars will be racing with the Historic Group A group C category, so come and have a look and support the genuine original racers. The pits will be open all weekend so you can get a good look at the cars and we have period shirts etc available for purchase. See you there. Hooks

Every time I see it it's going quicker. You guys must be feeding the car red bull. Only got a few shirts left, I thought we'd only sell a couple but sold nearly 20! Got a large with Freddo's signature. Dunno if I want to sell it. Might keep that one. Got Christine Gibson to sign a small too. Sold 28 of the incar DVD too.
