Eoi: Pearl White 1998 R34 Skyline 25gt-t Sedan
slinky-minky replied to llama_au's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Your car is 100% sex on wheels! It's gorgeous! You guys are right don't find to many Skylines let alone R34's that haven't been molested by a P plater (I'm allowed to say that cos I am a P Plater). It's a shame really because they seem reliable cars. My boyfriend was looking at Skylines before he got his (Mitsubishi) FTO and they were all screwed.....and I discounted Skylines when I was first looking for a car to replace my BMW, cos there is very few that aren't screwed....same with FTO's unless you get a good example you're asking for trouble. What's with the Nissan Cube though??? They're little boxes -
I'll leave it up to you guys to decide if you like the spoiler or not, I'll add photos later tonight. Spoiler is now on (Thanks for the excellent buy, Kye) and my arse no longer looks like I spend all day in the KFC drive through. I know what a few of you guys say about the spoiler but I think it makes the rear look more narrow then it really is. I had the car professionally detailed on Saturday, so it looks a LOT nicer, and the yellow smog tinge is now gone from my headlights. I have been thinking about getting it lowered, but I have no idea about the cost, how long it takes, good brand springs (not top of line- I'm a poor uni student but not supercheap auto cheap either) and also someone reputable in the Northern or Western suburbs?? KRYZSUI- I've done a little reading since I read your post, and I believe you are right. Build date was late 1999, wasn't sold/registered until 2000.

To start off I'm putting a spoiler on it on the weekend, I brought it off one of the girls on the forum. Also wanting to do some rims, but I'm not in a huge hurry , what would be the ideal size to still keep the same handaling characteristics etc and not nessecitate me to get it lowered? maybe 18's with low profils will lower the car and look better but wont they not fill the gaurds.... hmmmm

Sorry to hear about your friend's car. I'm sure it'll turn up, I know that'd turn my head if I saw it....especially in Sunshine. Someone will know where it is. If it has an E-Tag in it or a built in GPS they might be able to use that. Hope it turns up soon. Chanz

Hey everyone, I have finally put pictures up on Gallery of my car. I had so many problems getting them to upload, but it's all sweet now. I suppose it's a GTv because it has HICAS but if anyone else can tell me anything else from the photos, that'd be great. Any hints, comments question would be great. cheers Chanz

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had an R34 spoiler they wanted to dispose of??? Preferably "metallic silver" but it doesn't have to be, I'm not fussy. Can be stock or after market once again I'm not fussy. Any suggestions please post. Chanz

Has Anyone Ever Thought Of Doing A Charity Cruise?
slinky-minky replied to slinky-minky's topic in Victoria
Same here If you need a hand organising something, let me know. I'm a nursing student at Vic Uni if that's any help at all with organising anything. Living under a rock?? I think I have missed something? I haven't seen the idea of a charity cruise raised anywhere else on the forum?? -
I rang the police earlier, because when I was bringing the Skyline back Tuesday night I went past a cop car on the side of the road with a radar gun, the guy in the outside was flogging it at about 117 in a 110 zone, but as we got level with the cop the guy was dead level with me (I wasn't speeding) so I was worried that it could get confused, I've asked other people and they all seemed to say the same thing, that they could get me for it. So the rule on cops with radar guns: The cop MUST give chase. If after he begins the chase he feels he can't catch you, or it poses a risk they must give up and take down your plate number. Once you stop it's up to the cops discretion if you get a fine/warning ect Camera Cars: Issues an infringement notice in the mail. "Red Light" Cameras: Will Flash. Sends out an Infringement notice

You guys seem pretty knowledgeable about camera's. Cops sitting on the side of the road with the radar gun, there is an idiot in the outside lane doing about 117, when he reaches the cop he's dead level with the nose of my car....vicpol/speed camera likely to misread it, and think that I'm doing 117 or the ugly little Corolla next to me???
