Someone I knew a long time ago would take his 32 GTST to the illegal drags in Thomastown practically every weekend....til one weekend he dragged a sexy young women in 33 GTT only to find out she was a undercover cop in her personal car. Whoops!

A friends mum does that for a living (being a sub contractor) she uses a beaten up late 80's land cruiser that barely goes......and she gets paid a mint for doing it

Exactly. It's all about the driver, the decision and the timing. There is a time and place for everything...and its called an empty paddock by yourself in a paddock basher....but then they probably wouldn't do it, cos it takes away the attention, the 'street cred' and the thrill.

Perfect example as to why you should drive responsibly when you have others in your car.

Saw a Soccer Mums SUV pulled over on the Calder Fwy just outside Kyneton at the start of summer with the bonnet up, baby on board sign on the back window and hazards on. Like the lovely person I am (although running late for work) I stopped, expecting some mum and bub had over heated on the way to Melbourne....only to find it was Mr Plod (I realised this as I got out of the car and noticed the HUGE camera plate over the bull bar) I felt as if my good nature had abused...and they wonder why people don't stop to help others

Wasn't super hard, but yet still took over an hour with the use of a guide from the DIY section, which was very helpful. Turns out the plugs didn't need changing, the platinum plugs it's running at the moment were still really clean (well for plugs) and the oil wasn't black, was still a healthy colour. However tip trans fluid looks over filled, I'm going to have to get it looked at.

slinky-minky replied to joeyjoejoejuniorshabadoo's topic in Victoria
Should have came on the cruise instead of going to QLD, sounds like you guys had heaps of fun. my trip was pretty crap -
Hey guys, Am going to be getting my partner to do the minor service on my 34 however was just wondering if you guys had any hints/tips before he starts it. He's done plenty of services before on his own cars and when he was working at my mechanics place, so he knows what he is doing but has never specifically done a Skyline before. I'll be getting my tip trans serviced by an actual shop as it's time for that to be done as well. Timing belt doesn't have to be done for about 60,000kms. Any help is appreciated Cheers Chanz

Happy Birthday Kinkstaah. One year old, not any wiser??? Terry- Lol I might be to jealous to help you to your car...old blind GTR driver. I actually can't stand these ol' fart GTR drivers that get in front of me and drive like grandmas, and take a zillion years to get up to the speed limit

I'm 22 Birds- I've been trying to work out since June how old you are??? You sure it don't wanna just tell me....but I figured your about 27-29 just going by your posts. Alvin- Your 25? I thought you were younger. Terry- nothing wrong with Old Fart stories, I like them. Old Farts are interesting. I helped an oldie cross the road the other day, see some people do still care. Scotty- how about the song off Euro Trip "Scotty doesn't know" Missy- Love your post signature. Never take my eyes off the road for a man but very easily distracted by sexy cars

People will get scammed and people are generally pretty stupid. I got scammed recently. Tiger airways ran a competition for free flights, someone along the line sold the details of the people who didn't win to scammers. Scammers sent emails to the non winners saying they had won this real competition and to follow a link to claim their free flights. Long story short 250 odd people were scammed, of those only about 100 had the sense to book the flights directly from the Tiger website instead of this other companies site, only 100 odd people actually get anything for their money. My 34 is a hideous embarrassment atm. My other half would probably be interested. He's been wanting to get photos of his FTO done for ages, he was so excited because Charlene and Gavin got photos of it at Winton (which look great blown up) if you guys can hold your spews I'm sure he'd love to join you all. Silver R33 Gtr Stolen, Wsh 489 - Beware Current Racket!
slinky-minky replied to bonestorm007's topic in Victoria
I'm so sorry for your loss. it's real nice, and I hope you get your car back or at least catch the arse that stole it. I heard somewhere else that there is a group stealing and stripping cars; there was rats snooping round our cars a few months but I think they were just local rats/kids...they ran pretty fast. Shepo- Nice I was having a little stare at yours, it looks nice. I noticed you had a front mounted camera in a clear perspex case; Can you buy the housing or did you have to get it made up??? It looked like it was affixed with a GPS style suction cup?

Exhaust Centre In Western Suburbs/as Far Out As Epping Area
slinky-minky replied to slinky-minky's topic in Victoria
thanks, have u dealt with them before? -
Brenton: gtv r34 with no rear muffler sounds pretty damn awesome and beefy, bit raspy too but in a good way. chantalle is thinkin of gettin a workshop in melb to do it depending on the prices, she dosent car if the bends are press bent so hopefully it wont come to heaps, think she wants it done for 150 or so, tops. any places that are cheap, to recommend?
-
Hi everyone Am looking at getting a quote from an exhaust centre or a mechanics in Melbourne who can supply and fit an exhaust ( See other thread about getting more noise for my 34) Someone that's good and cheapish would be good as I'm on a budget
-
thanx, my partner is going to make it up but he said he was just going to join the new rear muffler where the stock 1 is then run a pipe and some twin tips he has exhaust pipe the same diamater from his stock fto system and was going to weld the new muffler on after the last flange when it straightens out. will get an oval with no bends inside it so it dosent stick out. only want it a bit louder so this will be good. btw im on a budget or i would do a better job lol, brenton is going to loosen the flangebolts so i can get a temporary preview of what it will sound like lol, any thoughts on how to make this cheaper/easier/better sounding(considering the last 2 factors)? thanx! what is the actual diamater of the stock piping?
