I get 300km from just over a half a tank of fuel in my R34 GTv

LOL...One of your many girlfriends or one of your daughters??

It probably was your point Alex, but my point was that the judiciary system in Victoria is piss weak, and it cracks down on the wrong stuff. Speeding is a real issue...it's not THE biggest issue, but it's still something people need to be mindful of. Honestly for me DUI is a much bigger issue. I'd rather be in the car with someone speeding then someone that's off their face on one thing or another

Opps forgot my link : and some awesome pictures too. 1st- my 1994 BMW 318i 2nd- FTO in poor lighting 3rd- The Turbo SA II Capri (Disturbingly ugly ex showcar...I hated that car. Was so pleased to see it go)

Must agree Birds. Performance mods for a Skyline would be cheaper/easier because there is heaps more of them in Australia. There is very few FTO's in Australia so you have the import factor and the rarity factor working against you. A lot of things need to be adapted from other cars. It took us 2 days to get a starter motor for the FTO. I finally found one at Jap Heaven in Melbourne (He'd got a GPX in over night so we were very lucky) Love them! I was going to buy one before I got the Skyline. I may still get one if the Skyline dies. Excellent reliable cars with enough to please even the most picky of car owners. N/A 150kw more then enough for a P Plater,or someone who dislikes Turbos. Personally I'm not the hugest fan of turbo's just another part to screw up when some wanker boosts their car way to high. We had a Turbo Capri, and the turbo was totally shagged, and it had only had a new turbo put on it in about 2000 (was a showcar that someone had spent $65,000 AU on) There not all "Slow" (GP's are slower then the others, Personally I wouldn't waste my time with a non-mivec GP FTO) FTO's come in 3 models: GP, GPX or GPvR. GP's have 127kw from a N/A 2.0lt non-mivec engine in a car that weighs just over 1 tonne. GPX & GPvR is a Mivec 2.0lt engine (it's variable valve technology....think Honda's VTEC) with 150kw from a car weighing just over 1 tonne. Manual or Tiptronic (no such thing as a true automatic...only Tip). Tiptronic was still very new in 1994, and was seen as very technologically advanced. The cars were only built from1994-2000 (not because of flaws but due to them being limited edition awesomeness) What I think you're not considering is that they are N/A, they don't have a turbo to screw up when it's boosted incorrectly, no turbo lag, just preload the clutch and ZOOM! A GPX or GPvR in good running order should do 0-100 in 6.9 seconds. It will take on and win against most cars. There is actually a video on U-Tube of it against a MR2, Supra, Levin, Integra, 180SX and a M3 BMW on a 5 lap race of Tsukuba in Japan. It would eat my Skyline for breakfast (No surprises there because it's a GTv) however I haven't tried because I'm a good girl, and respect the road rules. However it did eat my BMW 318I (once again not surprising) It killed my awesome 1.8 lt 83kw engine hauling 1.3tonnes of German tough machinary

Yeah Birds I'm a Nurse, and no we don't get paid no where near enough, for the amount of training we do....and all the yummy things that come along with it.

I was refering to the facts that were put forward in his original post, you could see there wasn't going to be any extra facts otherwise I'm should he wouldn't have left them out. True but the Victorian courts are WAY to soft. I know someone that's been in a bit of trouble (one of those people you'd rather now know) and he was saying that Victoria is the best state to commit a crime, and the NT and QLD are the states to avoid. I understand the point you're trying to make, however It would be impossible to achieve that. Bodies metabolize alcohol at different rates based on height/weight/fat %/gender and lots of things contain small amounts of alcohol. Lots of medications, cherry ripes, mouthwash (it's a cleansing agent, lots of them contain ethanol/alcohol) and as for people who wake up with residual alcohol in their system, someone I know had a drinking session with my partner, and wasn't back to .00 til 4pm that afternoon (he'd stopped drinking about 3 or 4 am) of course he couldn't start his car until then because he had an inter-lock. I understand what you're saying about cops targeting people driving certain cars (I get harassed all the time...and my car is 100% stock, but I'm from Hicksville) however I believe there is a lot more to being a cop then "look a Skyline....let's pull it over...."you were going 100 in a 60 zone"..."no officer I was going 55" that's not to say that there is some people that don't take it to far. Birds & Graeme - People who drink drive are the ones that make my job shit. Poeple with acquired brain injuries (ABI) that end up in ABI units or in physical rehab centres or the victims of drink drivers. They make life difficult for the cops, the paramedics, the nurses and the doctors. not to mention the family. I know I don't want to sew some idiot shut after he has written himself and his car off, I don't get paid enough for that! Richar- I don't. I drive like I own a Corolla I get what you're saying but as Charlene said "Speeding on the other hand, still stupid, but slightly controllable in certain instances." (I couldn't have said that better) I don't get behind the wheel of my car and flog it, the most I ever sit on (when not passing a truck) is 5-7kmh over the speed limit on the freeway, and I believe you get a 3kmh buffer on the freeway, and I know my car is capable of more then that. My boyfriend had a 89 Mitsubishi TP Magna when he first got his license (we had it up til Jan this year) and that reached 150 on flat ground

Not sure. I googled it and got nothing, but I'm sure they'd do it somewhere in vic

Is there any cruises coming up soon??? I want to meet everyone
-
brenton says: i can see where your coming from, but the rear end does grow on you, does looks like some 911's. fto's aren't the most powerful but as an all round sports car they rock, and woukld beat NA supra's around a track despite having a 3l engine in them Below is a U-Tube clip of it doing just that:
-
The link didn't work....what is the bulla cruise???
-
60-80K over and wasted....very good work wanker! I can't stand drink driving, I wouldn't do it myself, I wouldn't let my family get away with it, so I suppose I expect everyone else to give a shit and not do it

You guys know where this little hole in Victoria is quite well. I can get from Bendigo to St Albans in 1 hour 15 minutes.... Scotty- lol yeah they can be a little sooky, but Sunbury cops are bad to, when I had my BMW was getting pulled over all the time... cop: That's a expensive car for a p plater me: thank you Cop: Racing wheels? Me: There not racing wheels, Rodney Jane Racing is the brand...and they came with the car.

I was talking to Benji's (the guy who owns it) girlfriend, and asked if it was suppose to be Dr-FTO, which it is, but she was saying heaps of people call it drfto. Not drifting an FTO (cos they're FWD) unles you're using macca's trays or pulling a hand-breaky. After looking at some of those car's at the show, I thought that Brenton (my boyfriend) should have entered his FTO (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3869992) The page is a little outdated as it now has 17" Enkei "Clamp" mags, and a different exhaust system. Brenton's 2 cents: anywayz some drivers would rather grippy cars with a short wheelbase, lightweight, low centre of gravity, with a responsive NA engine with consistent power curves then skylines that remind people of crapadores drifting around a roundabout thinking their a 'fully sick race Ka drivA! skylines are awesome but they are bigger cars and have their place, theoratically you could get slug aus or american car and lower it, change all the bushes, change the cam, standalone ecu, slicks, 2.5" exhaust, extractors, supercharger, slotted, drilled and vented discs, uprated pads, fuel pump, bigger injectors, CAI, upgraded sway bars and strut braces, weight reduction etc and idont really see how it wouldent be close to a skyline.....unless were talking about a 4wd gtr i guess my rambaling point is that skylines need mods too look awesome and handle great unlike the fto here's a link to a stock 1 http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=htt...280&bih=591 theres a completely stock 1 off gran turismo.....21k that's pretty expensive lol
-
Krysiu- I hunted around the whole building looking for yours and it was tucked away in the centre. Looked great though. Brenton and I had a pretty good look at it. Was going to say hello but you were talking to someone else. We went down Sunday I was a little disappointed though, too many of the cars don't get driven. Sad really because they look great, shame not to share it. Someone Saturday night (sorry but I cant remember who) said there was some nicer cars in the carpark, I must agree. Must agree, those promo girls were gorgeous. I was talking to one of them who had her car on display, and her boyfriend had his FTO on display....I was really disappointed that there wasn't more FTO's on display...they're amazing cars (Love, Love Love them) Why drool over promo girls guys??? Yes there hot but there is heaps of other hot girls out there....chicks love confidence, and I don't know to many girls that will just be rude and not talk.
-
Hmmm....So it seems like it could be worth going They should have promo guys walking around in little short shorts Now I'd go and look at that... oh well that's girls are pretty hot. BUT I'd rather look at the cars

Kye gave me a link to a place in Bendigo that does suspension, and they quoted me close to $700 for just the King Springs to get it down 3cm.....plus labor (That's the cheapest they have) and was over $1000 (Supply only) if I wanted the Tein S-Tech springs, asked about coil-overs and he pretty much ignored that I even spoke! So I think I'm going to just leave her as is for now til I move to Melbourne, It's so expensive to get anything done up here.
-
I think some of them need to be realigned, the one I got snapped by on my L's got me right in the eyes...I could barely see the road. It's a common problem with that intersection though, one person get's snapped everyone around it gets blinded. I always thought that if I incurred the points on my L's it would have come off my L's, I asked the women at VicRoads when I went for my P's and she said it wasn't a problem and I'd have all my points for my P's, then they send me a letter after having my P's for like 4 months saying that I only have 2 points til December, when I get another 5

Thanks for the hard facts FRX026

Jack-That's what my theory was as well. I wasn't behind the truck I was over taking it cos it was all over the road, so I was trying to get around it in a hurry. Well I will have to wait and see I think. I got done on my L plates for "disobeying traffic signals" I was on a red for .25 of a second and lost 3 points and a $300 fine so I've been arguing it since Feb of this year. However same intersection someone I know went through those lights 2 months before I did doing 72 in a 60 zone and got a $220 fine and 2 points! So really I would have been better off speeding through the intersection 12 KM's over rather then being on a red for 1/4 of a second. Our system has soooo many flaws Thanks for the help guys x o Chanz

Hey everyone Does anyone know if a mobile camera car (stupid cars with bull bar mounted cameras) can read over 4 lanes of traffic with a huge island in the middle. I was on the Calder Freeway just outside Kyneton on Monday and went to over take a truck and there was a camera on the otherside of the road. I figured it wouldn't be able to detect that far away but I thought I'd ask
-
Does anyone know how much it costs to get in??? Am thinking about going down.
-
Thanks for the advice guys. I was talking to my boyfriend about getting it lowered on the weekend and I said I would probably expect to pay up to $1000 to get it lowered, so I'm glad to see it's much less then I was expecting. Kye-thanks for the link, was very interesting. I'd be interested to see what they would charge for fit and supply. I'll be waiting to see photos, I haven't been able to see it yet I got mine detailed on the weekend cost $150 to have the exterior only done. I'll be putting pics up once I get a nice day and maybe a cool back drop (that's better then my driveway)

that sounds ok wheres the best place to buy from and get fitted?
