I have to say with the 16kg front springs, though it seems overly firm on paper, the ride is not too bad...
sure hitting a pothole at high speed's gonna rattle you a bit but usually its pretty civil...
Yeah I've seen those they're something to do with the spring, not actualy coilovers..
Looks like none of those cheap Silkroads are there anymore...
Cheapest Coilovers would be the Tananbe NF at around $800...so maybe 1100 landed. Prolly better off with BC's...
Mate I've got the EXACT same issue. Water leaks into the cabin and gathers in the left rear passenger's footwell.
I had LPG installed a few months ago and they ran some hoses along the firewall area...I wonder if that's the culprit. The leak only occurs in very heavy rain...
I don't think my cover is missing, but perhaps something there is allowing water to get in? Hmmmmm
Ah well, its only $150 and they provide 90 days money back guarantee...gonna try it.
They claim it does JOBD...I'll see if it works...
Does our car use a straight or right angle connector?
Cars too fsrking low...gotta raise the rear up.
I went thru one of those retractable spike thing today. I swear it sounded like it took my exhaust out...
picked up an Optus Mytab since they're selling them for $99 for the last week or two.
Going to mount it up front using this:

and this: http://www.ram-mount...85/Default.aspx
Going to run Torque on it.
Question is...will the Scantool http://www.scantool....-bluetooth.html be compatible with our car? It claims to be compatible with all makes from 96-present...
going by this: https://www.scantool.net/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=3&nav=0 can anyone tell me whether our OBD2 ports will work with this tool?
1k landed from yahoo Japan via streeter. They are usually 1.5k to buy but recently there's been a couple of listings selling them new for almost 1/2 price...
Scott helped install the Silkroads Coilovers on my car last night.
The OEM suspension was stuffed...well the shockers were. Took it a few minutes to extend back to its original height after being compressed
Anyway the we kinda followed the instruction manual's heigh adjustments. The damping rate was adjusted to medium for front and rear.
The last thing I hear from Scott as I drove off was "Woh that's low"...
It was dark so I couldn't see 100% how low the car sat; went for a drive up Mt Dandenong with a friend in his S5...OMG what a difference. The car was like a friggin go kart...we did 5 runs. Sooo much fun...
Yeah it was a tad bumpy but I'm loving at for the time being...might adjust it to soft later on...if I ever get sick of the bumpiness...
I bottomed out a couple of times on Mt Dandy...weird I thought...I can't be THAT low...
Checked it out this morning...now I know why....I probably had 50mm clearance from the ground to the lowest hanging part of the exhaust...hmmm
The extra camber isn't helping either
