Yep...I'm gonna keep to factory screens to entertain the kiddies and use the HU for GPS and whatnot,. I actually picked up a couple of those $99 ZTE V9/Optus MyTab Android tablets...rooted it, and upgraded to Gingerbread. Runs quite good and can almost do everything a carputer does....slower of course! Thinking of getting them mounted to the back of the headrest for the kids. LOL... Don't get me wrong, I love Win7, I run it on my HTPC and users have nothing but good thing to say after we've rolled out 500 new Dell's with Win7 on them. I just can't be stuffed having to deal with a BSOD if, say, I developed a bad sector on the HDD where the MBR sits. Yes, running a SSD will minimise shit like that from happening...but I deal with enough of that crap daily. The Stag's my place of "zen"!! I know a carputer is more flexible and whatnot but by the time I get all the parts the price is pretty close to what I can get one of these Alpine HU's anyway...
