[Sa] R33 Parts And Other Gear.
Grimesy replied to Grimesy's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
As far as im aware it will suit both S1 and S2. I will get the part numbers on Monday and get a decent answer. It hasn't been run in my car but is currently connected up in it. My car has been off the road since January. -
Antz 1994 R32 Gtr Project & Restoration
Grimesy replied to Ants's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Nice build, love how meticulous you are when it comes to things. I waste more time painting and getting a nice finish on my car than i need to and make a half hour job take an hour or two. Its a disease. By the way thanks for putting me onto perfect run. Wouldn't have known about them otherwise. How would you rate their postage times? Are they easy transactions? Had any issues? Their website makes it look easy to order things. Cheers Matt -
Shame i missed it, had a wedding to go to. It would explain all the skylines i saw on south rd anyway.

Few bits of gear all in this thread. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/422173-sa-r33-parts-and-other-gear/

Will there be forms to fill out tonight, or do i have to bring them? Don't have a printer at home so a quick reply would be fantastic.
-
I was in my daily, black vs commodore ute. Probably didn't see me.
-
Silver R33 GTST with SAU sticker and daily driver sticker in drivers side quarter panel window. Was on cross rd this morning at 8am or so.
-
I might head down and sign up. Especially if there is another track-day coming up soon.
-
I find it average, but no worse than any other pad. After a fairly long hills drive i get a loud screech coming from the front calipers, doesn't make a noise any other time.
-
Yea a marine battery is similar to what i have mentioned, i am certain all of the Optima Batteries are fully sealed and do not ventilate. Just change the terminals on the cables that you have so that you can take the regular sized ones instead of the shitty small Japanese ones.
-
They are on the slightly expensive side, however they are well worth it. Unless you like rust i wouldn't recommend anything else, especially after what my century did to the back of my car. Thankfully it cleaned up fine.
-
Just checked the battery out for you, and unfortunately it will not pass. You will need a AGM or dry cell battery like i mentioned earlier, Optima or Odessy. Unless it has ventilation holes in it.
-
Cant remember the black bonnet, was fairly loud but not obnoxious. Heard the bov and spool of the turbo.
-
This is easy to answer, it is illegal to have a venting battery inside the car unless it is vented to the outside. You either have to buy a battery that has provisions to attach a tube that can vent to the outside of the car, through one of the bungs in the bottom of the spare wheel well. Or Buy a fully enclosed battery that does not vent, such as an optima. Carbon34 may know of more batteries you can use. I believe you can also enclose the battery with a case and have that venting to the outside. What battery do you currently have?
-
This has been answered many times before, Search next time. To answer your question, yes it can be changed. Check out hypergears thread in the same section you posted here. To how much boost to run, depends entirely on your setup.
-
Grey 32R at the lights of greenhill and glen osmond rd, round 8pm. Later on my way back saw a white 32 boosting around the same corner.
-
Why dont you drop the exhaust from the cat back and test to see if it is creating a restriction. It would show on a dyno if it is the cause of the restriction. I thought hypergear recommend tuning like this first? Also are the other results on the same dyno?
-
Silver R34 GT and a white Stag, on Greenhill Rd. The stag was blowing a fair bit of white smoke. I was in a white 33 GTST.
-
Yea, i meant powder coating, i was overly tired last night, probably should have posted that today. Any places that you guys would recommend?
-
Anyone on here know where i can get my cam covers painted in SA? Got a bad leak that needs fixing, got everything to go and getting them painted properly will top the job off nicely. Last "rocket cover" thread had nothing but trolling.
-
What colour is your 33? It might of been me. My car is running rich and needs a tune badly.
-
Sorry to hear about the damage, im sure it will buff out. (too early for jokes?) I knew that was going to happen to someone and it almost happened to me with a commo up my ass. He had to pull to the left of me to stop from going up my ass, i was lucky i knew he was close and i moved to the right to give him more room. People need to think its not a race and leave a bit more room, especially in damp conditions. All in all it wasnt a bad night.
-
They are good enough for your level and i am sure they could flow more, look at post number 885 (page 43) in the RB25 upgrade thread or just type blitz into the search. He was using a blitz turn flow, 3076R and made 281. Another further down made 270 with a SS2, with a "home made" turn flow.

Nice work so far, great idea to by the way. I had to do the same with my car in the boot. Was the biggest pain trying to clean the rust, prep and paint, all the fumes are terrible.
